Smart actions to SGS2 - Galaxy S II Themes and Apps

Hi all,
I would like to get the "Smart Actions" app (by Motorola) to my SGS2.
There is an option to run this app on my phone or a similar app?
Thanks ahead.

I believe Tasker might be your best bet. You can find it in the Market.

Yes I saw this app but its interface is a little clumsy and I don't like it.
Thanks anyway, there is something else?

hey i know this an old thread but some users using search to get here might find it usefull
the "llama" app on playstore does wat smartaction does on motorolla. It uses ur cellular positioning to help maintain the profiles meaning less battery drainage

[Q] App/service battery usage analyser

Anyone know of an application that analyses how much battery apps and services are using and at what rate? Tried looking at "batterydog" and "drain-o-meter", the latter seems to be what I'm looking for, but the output isn't friendly enough for me to interpret.
Does the community have any ideas?

Does that tell you which app is using what percentage of battery? I don't think so, please read the question properly before answring!

That is good advice!
I apologise tof9, sorry, you were right. I've looked at the Battery Usage screen a number of times and have never seen marketplace applications listed. I looked again and found Maps at 25%! So Maps is definitely a hog. I would like to get historic analysis of these stats, will look on marketplace now if something exists which does that...
Actually I have all apps there, including xda app

I ran it but I mistakenly let it associate a Amazon paid app to the Market. Anyway to undo?

What is it, please?

Sorry I had not provided the answer.
Too [email protected] simple. At the update portion of the market using the droid. If you try to update it fails. But, it gives you the option to delete the app, it deletes the market association in the phone but not the app. App is still usable.
As to why I did not provide an answer is very small of me and I should not have done it. I had asked for help(s) before and got lots of looks but no help. Like this one they laid dormant. Figured I would post it was fixed.
Cool! Thanks. I've had the same issue. Appreciate it, and no apology necessary. I've had similar situations. Some people just don't feel the issues require attention. No biggie, thanks again.

Well it came back today so apparently that was not a fix.

Have you tried the "detach from market" option in TB Pro?

Well...no. Did not know that existed and a search in the wiki did not reveal that or I missed it.
But I do have the Pro version and with some in depth looking found it. Seems to work
Thank you!

No problem.
Just long-press the app in question, and the detach option is there. For future reference, in case anyone else runs into this problem.
^ Needs TB *PRO* to do this, though.

Unlock while at home

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone knew of a good app for unlocking the tablet while connected to your home's WiFi? To be clear I would still like a lockscreen, but be to have it that when I leave home it goes back to being pin protected. I tried tasker but it can only disable the lockscreen completely, and while I would settle for that, I was wondering if anyone here knew of a solution! Thanks
Easy to do with Tasker. Best money you will spend if you dive into it. You can make your devices do anything you want.

I couldn't figure out how to make it only unlock but leave my lockscreen there (like it doesn't go straight to home screen when I press unlock button) do you know if that's possible ? I looked around rather quickly because if it didn't have it I wanted to be within refund period :S
Check out this link http://howto.cnet.com/8301-11310_39-57478334-285/the-most-practical-creative-ways-to-use-nfc-with-your-android-device/ . Came across it on FB and just watching the vid showed some of the possibilities for the NFC chip and I think it will do what your looking for.
Seems interesting.. I think the main problem is that disabling security and and leaving lockscreen is not an option sadly so like, it's all or nothing :/ I could live with that I suppose haha but kinda sucks
Have you seen this app? It does exactly as you want and works great, I've had it, and its great

it doesn't support patterns, the only lock I use. PINs and passwords are too slow to enter every time.
Try "Settings Profile" on the app store. Similar to tablet but much easier to use. I use it to do exactly what you describe.

I'm going to treat myself to some NFC tags to see if that will do it
Edit: I knew I'd seen something somewhere http://lifehacker.com/5829514/unloc...om-tedious-phone-passwords-when-youre-at-home
Edit: ^^ its up there. Sorry guy.

OT : it's it more powerful than Tasker?

It's basically a bunch of Tasker tasks already programmed. Taller is more powerful, but harder to learn.

Why Change DPI?

I have seen people talking about changing the DPI on their phones?
What are the benefits?
Is it battery life? I think stock is 320 and some changes I have seen are under 200.
Thanks.
No battery benefits from doing it. It just makes the screen look different, and some people like that. Gotta be careful with it though because it can cause problems with downloads from play store.

Thanks. I thought the more dots would make it clearer. How do people know what to set it to? Just a tinker and see?
I saw some apps that fix the play store.

Not a problem have a great day
Hey,
I change the DPI so i can play some tablet games on my phone for exemple. On the ROMs that include the per app dpi (like Paranoid Android) you can change the dpi of every app or just on one single app. I use it also for the mail Apps like Gmail. It looks better and feels better
Hope that helped you !
If the answer satisfied you, hit the Thanks button
I'd changed it for browsing some layoutted strangly webs, finally I was getting dizzy before long,so I changed it back.

Reschedule Power ON and OFF.

Miui provides this option under battery and performance. It is actually a very great feature. I liked how it worked. Though I don't know what's working behind it but what it does is "automatically reboot at given time when it's completely shut off". Good thing is it doesn't hibernate. Does anyone how to try this feature on custom ROM? No custom ROM provide this feature so maybe from "tasker app" or something? Please give possible solutions if anyone has. Thankyou.

smh ??* I know that, that's why i wanted same feature in AOSP.
You were being like : "Without electricity" and blah blah so I provided the link which explains the working behind this feature. So it does work even after phone is shut down. Sounds weird? Go through that link for explanation. Your link is just tutorial and all that stuff which I know already. Anyway don't wanna argue here, just wanted to know if any app is capable of doing that which now I think is not possible. Anyways Thank-you.

Go back to stuck and stop crying about MIUI crapware... you can use DND at night, and lose all crapware, spyware, adware, data mining apps including google [email protected]@t.. and you'll get 3days+ battery life.. that's why noone cares about that function in AOSP ROMs.
Good luck.
