I have flashed hundreds of times on my Telus T989D. I have never reset my flash counter. Yet when I go in to download mode it reads as if I have never flashed anything..
Just wanted to share that. I'm not sure if that's weird or unusual
I like my Roms the way I like my women..... Clean and smooth

That's probably because your flashing with CWM or TWRP and not Odin. I know the counter will start counting if you flash either a whole ROM or Kernel. Not 100% sure if it's for both cases but I remember it was something in the lines of that. I think just flashing a modem through Odin doesn't tic the counter.

Yeah the only time u used Odin was when I first rooted and added cwn. Since then I've been using other recoveries to flash Roms with kernels, themes, mods, etc, etc

Oops my bad. I didn't check the links since I already had the tmo version on my phone, but from what I've read you have to make sure to flash the correct version for your phone. Not sure what would happen if you flashed the tmo version on the telus version, but I dont think I'd be willing to find out
telus link please
I made the mistake of trying to flash t-mobile stock rom through ODIN. It failed and now my counter went to one. My phone is a T989D.
Does anyone have the flash counter reset for TELUS T989D or any instructions as to how to reset it?
thanks

I have my device rooted and have a custom modem and rom and recovery..... Is there a way I can just flash it so that Samsung does not know I made those changes to the phone....? I already have triangle software to get it back to official status but what about anything else...? Will they make me pay if they find out it was rooted and modified or will they just ship it back? THANKS in advance guys!! The buttons on the device stick and I have a bad camera so it def needs to be fixed...
I just did that last night to my phone. And it's fully stock right now as if I bought it from a t mobile store.
Download the official lh2 update from samsung-updates. Com
Before you Odin it. Use triangle away to reset count to 0. Reset and wipe. Then do a full Odin if the official lh2 update.
It will flash the modem and official software

Thanks everyone! I guess I missed that in my search through the forums... I should be all good now! :victory: I hope that Samsung actually fixes all of my problems... This is my first time dealing with them for service but so far they are paying for all of the shipping and it's being shipped UPS 2nd day air so that's a plus for them!
Well I have done everything stated in this thread and I cannot get my phone to boot past the flashing Samsung screen with the blue led on....? I even did the process twice just to make sure and it won't boot to the os... I am lost here!
UPDATE:I forced the phone into recovery and cleared cach and reformatted phone and I'm all good now... Thanks guys!!

I read triangle away doesn't work for the t999, does it? please tell me it does haha. I downloaded the original software from samsung updates and I'm about to try this but after I Odin the factory software does it automatically flash the original recovery on it as well or do I need to flash the stock recovery as well? also should this be done before or after the triangle away as this may trip the counter again!? thanks for your help!!
It works. Just flash stock image thru Odin and it will give you stock recovery, rom, modem. No need for triangle away after that.

If you don't mind to wipe EVERYTHING, you can use Kies to install the stock ROM.
Turn the phone off, and enter Odin mode (downloading...) by pressing and holding both volume down and home while powering the phone on, then plug the phone in and run Kies and do reset and update.
This image sudden appears :crying:
It's see same a ads because have a text "CLICK" in bottom screen
I try to up another rom but is still appears, someone can help me please, thanks :crying:

Did you ODIN or just flash a "stock" ROM? That's obviously a software glitch... Doing a stock ODIN would replace everything on the phone... if that doesn't work you can do a full factory reset from the dialer but that will wipe out EVERYTHING so I would only do that as a last resort.

Just in case you dont know, if you are flashing a stock or root66 firmware, Mobile Odin will not flash the whole update. Desktop odin will.
