Hi,
I just wanted to check before I buy one, can anyone who has the SD card adapter tell me if it handles SDHC cards OK as I'm looking at getting a 32gb to store music and films on.
thanks.
Well I have the usb adapter and can plug in a card reader and I use a cool little memory stick pro which has two micro sd slots in it, basically I have two 16gb micro sd plugged into a memory stick pro which turns them into one 32gb card . I bought it for my psp but through a card reader works fine with my tab
I have the Samsung USB and SD-Card adapter and it can handle my 16Gb SDHC card from my cam with no problems.

Hey Folks,
I'm looking for any recommendations for a 32GB or 64GB memory stick that will definitely work with my Tab (utilising the USB adapter).
I get the feeling that any will work if formatted to FAT32 (may be setting myself up to be corrected here) but I wanted to make sure before jumping on Amazon UK.
I'll be mainly using the stick to play movies for my 5 year old if that's of any consequence...
The sooner this thing gets AllShare the better (my SII is just waiting to stream some movies to this thing...) - Anyway, thanks for any and all replies!!!
I am using a 32GB micro-SD card with this adapter and the Samsung USB adapter:
http://www.amazon.com/elago-Mobile-...FKR8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1314848482&sr=8-1
The micro-SD I have is a Kingston 32GB class 4. I also have a couple of 16GB Transcend class 6. Truthfully I have not noticed much speed difference between them, although I do usually copy movies over to the internal memory to watch.
I really like the tiny size of the adapter. The card goes inside the USB plug part and there is a dust cap for when not in use. Quite easy to use and cheap.
Didn't Samsung release an SD card adapter along with the USB adapter now?
I would think using the SD adapter withan SD card is the ideal solution to keep things from protruding even further from the tab.
Thanks for the replies guys - saw this on Amazon UK:
[NOT ALLOWED TO POST OUTSIDE LINKS UNTIL I'VE POSTED 8 TIMES APPARENTLY BUT ANYWAY - Samsung Galaxy Galaxy Tab 10.1 SD Card and USB Adapter - Black £24.99]
Reasonable price so I think I'll go for a 32gb SDcard to use with the SDcard adapter - I did get a class 10 card last month for my SII but honestly I didn't notice any perceivable difference - not any that validated the price hike for a class 10 anyway.
Will pick one up and update later folks.
For the last several months I've successfully been copying digital images from my camera's 8GB class 4 Kingston SDHC card (formatted in FAT32) onto my Samsung Galaxy S2. I've been using a USB OTG adapter with a Sandisk MicroMate USB Reader plugged into the OTG adapter. I've never had any problems.
This weekend I tried to do the same using a new 16GB class 10 Kingston SDHS card (also formatted in FAT32) with no other changes and it doesn't work. Instead, after I plug everything together and then into the USB slot in my SGS2, I get the usual "Media Scanning Completed" and the "USB Device Connected" messages, but nothing in the /usbStorage/sda/DCIM can be seen at all.
Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions/explanation?
Thanks in advance,
Rich
Hi again
I was also wondering if it's possible to swap internal memory with a microsd card connected via a micro to USB cable using a card reader or can it only be done with internal microsd slot ? And also a stupid question but thought to just ask. Is it possible to transfer videos or files from a microsd card (card reader)/flash drive to the galaxy note 2 using that same cable ? I don't currently own the note 2 but I will soon. I'm just waiting to see if a 32gb will become available by the end of this month. Thanks so much for all your help !
What you're looking for is an OTG (on the go) cable... It'll allow you to connect usb devices to the micro usb, including keyboards, mouse, hdd, and even usb drives. You'll need to be rooted in order to use one though.
Swapping memory .. Etc

No that's the cable I'm referring to when I say 'micro to USB' cable. I'm wondering if you can swap internal memory of the galaxy note 2 for a microsd card connected by that cable using a card reader (with the microsd in it) or can you only swap internal memory with the microsd card in the phone and also if files or videos can be transferred from the microsd or a flash drive using that cable to the galaxy note 2. Thanks !
Been trawling eBay the last few days for a TF card reader you plug directly into the S3s micro USB port, and I'm not talking about using an OTG cable and a normal card reader, I want something with micro USB plug on one side and TF slot on the other similar to what the Galaxy Tab has, and I'm sure it must exist somewhere so someone point me in the direction.
Something like this?

Something like that... But just a Micro SD reader so it's small as possible.

Not that it's a big deal, but why not just use the internal port?
I know you didn't want an OTG cable but what about an OTC Adapater (non cable version) with an very small micro sd reader? The SD reader below is what I use. I have 2 actually. One is about 2 years old, the other 1 year old. One goes in my car stereos USB port (had a spare 32Gb sd card so it made sense to use it for music) and is very small hanging out the front.
You could use this:

or

Well just think about it... With a tiny card reader stuck on the bottom you can treble the memory and still hold the phone and use it normally and store stuff like Emulator Roms and HD videos on which you can't really do with wires hanging out the bottom, and I'm running low on my 64gb card so this just gives me the best of all worlds.
And anyway the guy who got me thinking about it to begin with managed to find the place that sells exactly what I'm looking for.

Hello!
I am trying to use a brand new Qilive 62GB XC I (class 10) memory card on my Motorola Xoom MZ605 with ICS 4.0.2 and apparently it doesnt fit in the memory card hole on the tablet... I mean i cant insert it properly in the tablet card slot... When i insert the card it goes down the card slot and thats it.. It seems its loose..
This is very strange because my SanDisk 8GB HC card fits well ans easy in the tablet card slot.. When i insert this card on the slot it make that click and fit well in the slot..
Are the 64Gb cards different?? It seem that the 64 Gb are bigger and thick and fatty cards...
My Sandisk 64gb fits with no problems, SD is a standard so the Qilive should fit.
