tab 10.1 official accessories video

Almost all official accessories are in this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jZPIIxJq_I&feature=player_embedded
The only one missing seems to be the folio keyboard which I have only seen in another video.
It's on the Australian Samsung Accessory page:
http://samsung.mobilefulfilment.com.au/Search/Default.aspx?SearchText=10.1
Here is Samsung's Official Accessory page for the USA:
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/galaxy-tab-accessories/
Finally, a link to a video and some photos of my favorite flip case (still not on sale in the USA and expensive....):
http://www.androidcentral.com/flip-case-samsung-galaxy-tab-101
Nice to see the Austrialian accessory page shows that Samsung is selling the USB and SD reader together in a single kit for $30.
But I wonder why the US accessory page doesn't list any SD reader at all? Hopefully it'll be available, I would guess it will. Hope they'll sell the USB and SD reader together as well here.
Nice post thanks
Thanks for the video. I really want the SD card adapter because I like to backup my videos and photo from my camera to my iPad 2. Unfortunately iMove only works with certain formats and drives me up a wall when I can't edit video at 720p/30fps from my Nikon D5100. It would give me a big push on selling my iPad 2 if they release this. I have been waiting for this adapter since my Galaxy Tab 7 and still being hopeful.
They will definitely release the SD adapter, Samsung has made it official during the original Galaxy Tab 10.1 / 8.9 presentation.
Usb and sd adapters at only $ 30 (and the Aussie $ is lower than the US $ !) seems too good to be true... I'll believe it when it's in stock!
None of these are on sale yet....
Question for you guys:
Does anyone know what's the point of the Multi-Media Dock?
It doesn't have an HDMI connection (you still need an Hdmi adapter).
So it's basically just a stand that charges the Tab?
Like the media bay, the keyboard doesn't have any ports either, just the 30 pin connector. A keyboard ($70) with USB ($20), SD ($20), and HDMI ($40) is gonna cost $150. Yikes Samsung. And you can't even use more than one of those at a time. That's just evil.

How about just the USB plug?
Then get a USB splitter and attach your own keyboard, mouse, and Sd card reader?
And you can use them together.
Just checked, still nothing in stock...

All in one kit?

Hello!
I am currently dreaming for 1 accessory which is capable of doing many things without using that much cables etc.
Do you know if there is an all in one accessory or any way to do USB host of mouse AND keyboard, microusb to recharge the phone and a MHL exit?
I just tried with a multi-usb hub and the usb host of the galaxy s3 was capable to give power to:
- my razer blackwidow ultimate (with leds shut down)
- my mouse
- an external audio board
- a lil electric oven.
And everything was smooth.
Now my idea would be to use the MHL to connect the phone to the TV, the keyboard and the mouse to the phone, whilst recharging.
I'm asking because I don't have a bluetooth mouse/keyboard since I've always been an hardcore gamer
I thought of this one:
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/mobile-fun-connection-kit-for-samsung-galaxy-s3-p35462.htm
But I'm not sure that the mhl would work with that microusb port, and even if it works I loose the opportunity of using the host function :/
Any idea?
To my knowledge MHL and usb OTG can not be used simultaneously, however you can buy the wireless AllShare Cast Dongle to transmit video wirelessly and output over hdmi and use the usb OTG cable to connect to the usb hub (preferably externaly powered, as in the hub has its own power supply) and connect to it what you need. But , correct me if i'm wrong, you still won't be able to charge your phone while using usb OTG.

Well that destroys my hopes
Actually the easiest way seems to use bluetooth mouse/keyboard and a mhl adapter which also recharges the phone.. Meh
Anyone else with some ideas?
MHL and USB Hosting CAN be used simultaneously on the Galaxy S III. That is why Samsung changed the pin layout from 5 to 11. That is why the Galaxy S II MHL Cables won't work with the S III.
Samsung Galaxy S® III uses an 11-pin micro USB input, which allows it to support MHL output and USB on-the-go input simultaneously – an improvement over 5-pin capability

I've been looking for a all in one cable for my american Galaxy S III for a while and the one you linked is the best match I've found so far.
Here is a link to a post I wrote about it on the U.S. Galaxy S III forums. I'm thinking they added this functionality for a future desktop mode.

Did you make any progress?
I'm looking forward into this.
I'm receiving my official mhl adapter in 3-4 days

Samsung OTG cable has transformed into a dongle

I see now on Amazon UK that there's an OTG dongle instead of cable being offered with the same part number as the cable: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-USB...ZD7U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1340312028&sr=8-2 - it still is "ET-R205UBEG". Anyone using it? Isnt't its weight + weight of the device (flash drive for example) too much for the Note's port?
£8.75 ?! hell no... get it from ebay for about a 1$

HDMI adapter compatible with SM-600 model?

Hi all, new user for galaxy note 10.1 2014 version.. thanks for the threads, very useful info..
As I have trouble finding the Samsung compatible adapter through amazon or ebay in the UK, should I assume that any 11 pin HDMI adapter is compatible? should I look for adapter for Galaxy note 3 or the Galaxy S3?
Thanks a lot!!
Look for the mhl 2.0 adapter from samsung. It's branded "for galaxy s4/s5". Just make sure it's mhl 2.0. I have it and it works very good, outputs 1080p/60fps and it works without connecting power.
looks like this: http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/ET-H10FAUWESTA
Thanks for the prompt response Clouds5..
I have trouble finding that specific adapter you posted.. even Samsung has run out ..
However, I find many cables with s/n ET-H10FAUWEGWW... The one you have posted is the ET-H10FAUWEGUJ.. Should I assume that these adapter are the same? I am in the uk, maybe this is s/n for the international market? Essentially anything in the ET-H10FAU family is the same, provided of course that it is branded as MHL 2.0 adapter and suitable for galaxy S4/5 as you point out?
Thanks..

Look at Amazon.uk for Samsung MHL 2.0 and pick a geniune one. Alot of fakes around and read the comments. Reak MHL 2.0 dont need power source and fakes ones needs.
ex might be real: (read comments)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-ET-...d=1397297202&sr=8-63&keywords=Samsung+MHL+2.0
Might be fake: (read comments, delivered from China = mostlty fakes)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Genuine-Sam...id=1397297537&sr=8-2&keywords=Samsung+MHL+2.0
I did bought a cheap MHL 2.0 from ebay, seller was from China and it did works for a while. It also needed powersource to work, after a while and aspect ratio become weird. So it was a fake one for 6 US only.
Decide to buy new one from mine country and it didnt needed any powersource connected to MHL 2.0 adapter. It was cheap, just 20 bucks deal back then and also described for Galaxy S5, even back then S5 wasnt even announced and lucky it was genuine from Samsung.
Real and fake have different weights too. There is a thread about real vs fakes MHL 2.0.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2412756
The fake from ebay I bought was indeed around 26 gram and real one with 20 bucks deal weights 42 gram.
Thank you dt33.. I have just ordered the adapter you pointed out - I had it already in my Amazon basket assuming that it is a genuine one..
I also read the thread about genuine/fakes.. looks like that unless it comes directly from Samsung, then it is a gamble..
I will test it, weight it and report back with the s/n.. hopefully it will help someone facing the same problem.
Thanks,
Achilleas
I bought this one per recommendation of another XDA user. Works as it should for now.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331104244157?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
All good
To complete the thread and potentially help future buyers from the UK....
I bought the Samsung ET-H10FAUWESTA which turned out to be the ET-H10FAUWEGWW... bottomline: all the genuine variations of the ET-H10FAU cable seems to work for our model.. and no need to be plugged in so all good..
Thanks all for the help.

the HDMI cable works without the wall plug.. just with the tablet's power..
if you use the wall plug then it will charge the tablet while the HDMI is used...Is this what you are asking?
Could you verify?

I have trying to find one that will charge the tablet at the same time you have the tablet connected to a monitor though an HDMI cable. Does the tablet (specifically, the Note 10.1 2014) show that it is in the charging mode when you are using this adapter with the wall plug? Thanks!

I have a HDMI adapter for my N7000 which I also use for my SM P-605 and it works just fine but does not charge my tablet while connected to my TV. After the kitkat update, (surprise! surprise!) it just decided to charge my tablet while connected to my TV.So probably it's a kernel thing.

Wait a second here. Are you saying that your tablet charges only through the mhl connector without being connected to the wall plug? If this is the case, it receives power through the hdmi cable?! This is really strange. I didn't know hdmi could offer the needed current for our tablet to charge!!! To be sincere I don't think this actually works. You probably need the wall plug to be connected to the mhl for it to actually charge the tablet.

It's connected to a wall plug of course, but before kitkat even with the " wall plug" connected it doesn't charges and now it does.

Questions About OTG

I have some questions for you guys regarding USB OTG, espicially from India. I have bought 2 wrong OTG and I'm afraid to buy malfunction adapter again. I know our phone support OTG as I can use my friend's Galaxy S8 stock OTG adapter flawlessly. Will this OTG work with our phone?
MIVI Type C to USB Adapter
If not, any suggestions? And besides, I found Samsung Galaxy S8 adaptor on Ebay. But afraid to buy as the seller only have about 80% positive feedback/rating.
This adapter will work for sure. But you can always get a lower priced one. I brought this adapter in 100 rupees in local stores.
Any type c otg with USB 3.0 shall work. I also have a cheaper one that works well on my device.
