This topic is about custom ROM for TMN Bluebelt (aka ZTE n61).
***For TMN Bluebelt2 (ZTE n72 and n75) owners: please, read notes below.
Note: project discontinued, phone sold out.
Introduction:
After completion of the custom firmware for TMN Silverbelt I decided to start work with the firmware for TMN Bluebelt (aka ZTE n61). Especially since I have long been interested in phone with landscape mode and QWERTY keypad.
Notes and Warnings:
1. All surveys were made on the basis of the TMN Bluebelt firmware B13 and TMN Bluebelt2 firmware B06. In fact, it more from Bluebelt2 B06 then from Bluebelt B13
2. I accept no responsibility for bricked or locked devices or any other problems! You are use any information and any files at your own risk!
3. Before you flash this ROM, make sure you are know how to recover from a non-booting ROM or to original ROM! If your device bricked, you can try to flash it by original flasher B13.
4. You MUST read instruction in downloaded packages and post below.
5. I strongly recommend to flash phone with TMN's B13 firmware before using this firmware.
6. Also I recommend (but it still optional) to use custom firmware with new radio software from Bluebelt2.
7. After every ROM flashing you MUST perform a hard reset (see instruction in downloaded package)!
8. If you are use the software for backup and recovery, remember that these programs will work properly only within the same firmware. That is, if you phone flashed with another version of the firmware and you try to recover your data, you're may got unexpected behavior of the phone.
9. There are swapped keyboard buttons: "Wireless Manager" and "Shift" like at Bluebelt II.
Notes to Bluebelt II, ZTE n72 and n75 owners:
1. This firmware made for Bluebelt handset, not for Bluebelt II or another handsets.
2. This firmware was NEVER tested with Bluebelt II or another handsets.
3. But this firmware should work with Bluebelt II (camera will not work and not all RAM will available). If you want to use these ROMs with Bluebelt II, please, flash your handset with TMN Bluebelt II firmware B06 before using these ROMs.
Network Unlocking:
If your phone network-locked, you can unlock it by enter unlock code. Use this calculator for generate unlock code, or use this online service: http://nextgenserver.com/calculator/.
Support:
If you encounter problems, please do not hesitate to write here or contact me. Please describe the problem accurately and in detail.
Also, please, read this post and posts below BEFORE write your message.
Note that I can only help with these ROM. For general questions about cooking ROMs, please consult the forum and Wiki at xda-developers.com.
You should know two things: 1. I speak only English (too bad) and Russian. Por favor, nao escreva em Portugues 2. My local timezone is GMT+11.

Hi,
I will update my bluebelt 1 with your clean wm 6.1 rom, if i find any bug or something i'll feedback to you
The clean rom to the WM 6.5 that you're creating will work on the bluebelt 1? Or only in bluebelt 2?
Thank you very much for all work that you're doing!

Since I have only BB1, the target for my ROMs is BB1. And I make ROM for it only because I can test it only on BB1. So, my ROM will work on BB1.
BTW, maybe ROM will work on BB2 too (except camera and full RAM).
Ok, i hadn't noticed that you only have the bluebelt 1.
I will try to upgrade my bb 1 with your clean version of WM 6.1.
When do you think you can release the download links for the WM 6.5 clean rom? When you do it i can upgrade and give some feedback to you!
EDIT:
I've done the upgrade to your WM 6.1 clean, for now it looks pretty cool
Theres just one thing that i want to remove, when i turn on my bb1, the TMN logo still appears, do you know how to remove it from the startup?
scrabby said:

This logo is a part of bootloader (appsboot.mbn file). Now I have no expirience with changing this logo. And I afraid to touch bootloader because I have experience with bricking Silverbelt
Ok, it's better keep it then
Well i've been playing with my updated bb1, and i just have good things to say:
- the camera is really much better
- and the touchscreen works more fluently
- i will try the gps later
In general, you've done a really nice work, my bb1 is now much faster.
Do you know when you'll release the WM 6.5 clean rom? I'm anxious to try it!
EDIT:
Well, did you changed the sms/mms system? The old system was showing my sms/mms in a "bubble system" from the same person now the sms/mms appear separated. Do you know how can i put it like the old one?
Before, sms received/sent was showing in the same window for each contact
Well i don't know how but i've fixed my problem

This is "threaded sms" feature. I always disable it (I think it is ****). But you can enable it by using "Bluebelt control" from Control Panel.
Ok, i think it's useful thing I've found the option to enable it!
Ok, later i'll probably try your new rom, now i'll explore this one, and if i find some bugs i'll report to you
One more time, thank you very much for this nice work!

Also, where there be any way to remove certain apps after flash? Will you have the new version of Total Commander, 2.5?
Any chance of adding SIPChange or Internet Sharing?
Thanks!

I've tried it by it seem to be slow to me, I personally don't like the winbar but I like the new the vista look and a lot of nice applications. I wish I could have the Cab for those programs.
The ROM already includes interent sharing and sip change.
The links will be up later(hopefully tonight or tomorrow). I had used the 3.02 Sprint ROM build 19588 as a base and it worked great but I am working on V3.0.
It will use the Sprint 3.03 ROM build 19208 with ported Diamond SYS.
It is gonna take some time to get the kinks worked out in V3.0 because the cube doesn't seem to be compatible with the new base ROM.
I don't sleep since I'm super human so you don't have to worry, I'm seriously working on it.
Found you!
Dan,
So glad to have found you here! I had waited to install the VZW specific version on PPCGeeks since there were some known issues early on. I decided to go ahead and take the plunge once I got home. Lo and behold! The links were gone
I love this ROM - MUCH faster than anything else I've tried - and I've tried several.
Thanks for all your hard work!

Sweeeeet! This will mark the 2nd ROM I've flashed, so one question. I've of course already run ImCokeMan's Unlocker from before and it's still unclocked, I think, so do I need to do anything else except run the RUU?

You need the Vogue 2.31.coke unlocker. At the top of Post #1 there is a link to my Consolidated Rev. A/GPS tutorial over at PPCGeeks. You can download it there. As long as you have a 3.XX radio already then all you will need to do in order to flash my ROM is to use that unlocker.

[X51V] ROM WM6.5.1 VOIP Professional (WWE, ESN)
My First thanks to Football. He was there to answer some questions when I was starting learning cooking for the x51v. I also want to thank Dking for providing the new 2700g drivers and DA_G for the WM6.5 builds.
This thread is actually a continuation of this one, where I have released some WM6.1 private professional rom for the axim.
This rom is indeed a full professional rom, with this rom your x51v is not a PDA anymore, it will just become a real VOIP Pdaphone.
What is the difference between a x51v regular rom with a VOIP software (like Sjphone) and this WM6.5 VOIP rom?
Here are the main benifits once your axim is properly configured:
- You only need to turn on your wifi to place or receive VOIP call (You don't need to start any software because the VOIP is native on the OS)
- You can call directly from your contact
- You can import call log and dialed number from any other phone using PimBackup
- There are three way to check your PDAphone is connected to the VOIP network
1/ You can see the two network call bar from the top bar
2/ You can use the VOIP today plugin
3/ You can see your VOIP network from the phone application itself.

This is the A11 final concept with optimized themes for file system performance improvement.
features:
--IE6 Mobile
--native VOIP
--Showcase.
--hibernate.
--screen capture.
--dking 2700G driver
--patched Wireless Manager
--TCPMP with finger friendly skin
-- Default theme (stylus UI) for low memory consumption (a lite version of the original Rock and Republick black theme)
--Titanium weather & wireless pluggin (via UC)
--Office 2010 (via UC)
--FingerKB (via UC)
--file system optimized original WM6.5 Finger UI theme: DVF Green, Isaac Mizrahi purple, Rock and Republic black, Vera Wang Red (via UC)
--file system optimized Elcondor WM6.5 Finger UI theme: Condor GT Black Edition (via UC)
--All 6.5 Extra (via UC)
--a 450 Ko dking DKLogo slot, that you can use to customize the x51v Boot Logo with dking Dell Logo Utility. The slot is preloaded with default Dell boot screen, you can put a compressed image up to 450 Ko (to compare with the Dell original logo that weight 120 Ko compressed).
--This branch has magnifier feature and new contact management.
This rom have a default page pool value of 12 Mo
Trick: if you need more memory switch to default theme and inactivate titanium, when memory is not an issue just use a Finger UI theme & titanium.
Customize UC if you don't need all 6.5 components. You can also run this rom on a 64 Mo device but then change pagepool to 3.2 Mo and don't use all the 6.5 components refer to the lite thread and check memory consumption table. Compared to a classic rom this rom will use about 2 Mo more because it's a pro rom and runs VOIP phone processes. So If you don't need a pro rom, just take the lite classic 5C0B nb0 together with the 6.5 packages of this rom, you will then get a full 6.5 classic rom.

--ThisPro rom have native VOIP plus all WM6.5 extra that can be installed using Shadrac PresetInstaller (so you can actually have a full WM6.5 rom in your axim)
To know more about the incredible Extendir feature read this thread.
At first boot both rom will installed the mandatory package via UC (be patient during this phase), at second boot PresetInstaller will be automatically launched so you can install extra package using preselection or chosen by yourself.
It means that if you want to hard reset your device you need to have you SD card to installed the mandatory packages. ( or your system won't be stable).
Extendir roms have been tested with older French builds, those roms perform better but might conflict with other softwares (and then become unstable).
If you don't want extendir and you have a 128 Mo x51v, you can use the A11: WM6.5.5 Classic lite(23547) WWE romhttp://rapidshare.com/files/372747495/DiAd_K_AximX51v_WM65_A11_5BFB_WWE_lite.zip and apply this packagehttp://rapidshare.com/files/372759098/Full6.5gui_for_5BFB_lite.zip to transform the WM6.5 lite OS into a regular one (You should also increase the pagepool value). Then you can check the WM6.5 extra from A11 Extended rom package to see if they are compatible.

The A11 Extended rom is based on the concept used to build the E01 extendir rom but without the extendir feature. I've build it only for those that have 64 Mo ram x51v and also to be compare with the E01 ( performances ).
At first boot both rom will installed the mandatory package via UC (be patient during this phase that is especially long for the A11 rom), at second boot PresetInstaller will be automatically launched so you can install extra package using preselection or chosen by yourself.
It means that if you want to hard reset your device you need to have you SD card to installed the mandatory packages. ( or your system won't be stable).

Tips & Tricks
-- Release a maximum of memory to use a WM6.5 rom with a 64 Mo x51v:
This trick comes from raynda:
1. Disable Titanium plugins - 1-3MB free RAM
2. Disable WM6.5 Start Menu via utak3r's QuickMenu cab *IMPORTANT* - The start button is now on the bottom of the screen, and the utak3r cab is designed for the previous version of WM6.5, there is no icon in the top left corner. However, QuickMenu is still there and still works and the default Start Menu is still disabled. Be aware though, the top taskbar slide menu (containing Wifi, Volume, Power, etc. options) will be disabled and a buggy box will appear if you tap on those icons.
3. To disable the phone drivers and free up 3-4MB RAM, you can do one of two things.
- Safest method - use a registry search program, such as SKTools, and search for the terms "cell", "voip", "phone", and "dialer", and delete the information in each entry.
- Not so safe method, but works and totally disables phone drivers - create a fake "cprog.exe" and copy over the default "cprog.exe" into the Windows folder. When you soft reset, the drivers won't load, but you will get an error message that "Cprog.exe" isn't signed. You can tap "ok" until the error message goes away.
4. If you don't use Bluetooth, IrDA, or GPS, these drivers can be disabled completely in the registry. To do this, go to HKLM>Drivers and empty the keys for the devices you want to disable. Don't delete the entries, but delete the information in the entries. (Example - don't delete "DWORD - Keep - 1", but delete the 1 from the DWORD. Some keys will regenerate themselves if you delete them entirely, but if you delete the information in the key, they will not regenerate.)
5. HKLM>System>GWE contains some DWORDS that can free up 1-2MB RAM as well, such as "EnableLayeredWindows".
Using these tricks, and totally disabling all Bluetooth references in the registry, I have reached 32MB free RAM. This also was done while still increasing the GlyphCache to 16384.
Another trick - setting the DWORD to "1" instead of "0" in HKLM>System>StorageManager>Filters>replxfilt DWORD "DoImmaculate" will free up a little bit of RAM at the cost of a slightly longer boot time.
Another trick - search the registry for all "Camera" entries and make sure that the entry for Camera is disabled. (DWORD value for Camera should be "0" instead)
Another trick - Set HKLM>Snd>Event>EventCache from 1536 to 0 or 1.

-- Connect with wifi using WPA/TKIP+AES:
This trick comes from francky37:
When trying to connect with wifi using WPA/TKIP+AES, it keeps asking pass-phrase without successfully connect.
To solve this go to settings and force TKIP mode, once done it will sucessfully connect each time you'll try.

greetings
maximum RAM
This is excellent makuu, thanks so much.
I am trying to get the most free RAM that I can and would like more details
on disabling the phone features.
Step 3 says to search for "cell", "voip", "phone", and "dialer"
Do I search for whole words only?
Either way there are quite a few locations found.
-What problems could result from using the 'fake' cprog.exe?
-Is there any chance of releasing a cab file to disable these phone drivers?
thanks again, I am grateful for your efforts
Step 3 says to search for "cell", "voip", "phone", and "dialer"
Do I search for whole words only? Yes, and when I did it, "regular expressions" was unticked. It's best to do this directly after a flash with no software installed so that you don't accidentally mess up anything with Skype or similar programs if you use them. I suggest also that if you do this, you check each search result before deleting anything. I haven't had any problems from doing this, but that doesn't necessarily mean everyone else won't.
Also, there is a mortscript entry in your Windows folder named "VOIP". Make sure to remove that from your startup items.
-What problems could result from using the 'fake' cprog.exe? You'll get an error message every time you soft reset telling you that the current "Cprog.exe" is not signed with a trusted certificate. You have to tap "ok" 4 or 5 times to get it to go away, and it's a bit annoying but if you can live with that or figure out a better way to create a fake "cprog.exe", then the phone drivers will not launch on startup, freeing up 3-5MB RAM.
-Is there any chance of releasing a cab file to disable these phone drivers? I can't speak for Makuu, but I think it might be tough, unless someone creates a dummy cprog.exe, signs it, and then creates a CAB package that copies that exe file into the Windows directory.
How I typically get 30-32MB free RAM with WM6.5
This is how I do it when I flash 6.5, but it isn't for everyone's usage. A big part of it is disabling all IR and Bluetooth drivers since I don't use them and they eat RAM.
1. Change Input Method options to disable all auto correcting and word suggestion.
2. Change Error Reporting to disabled and change the Cache DWORDS for Error Reporting in the registry to 0.
3. Change GPS Settings - Untick the box for "Automatically Manage GPS"
4. Install SKTools and delete all Bluetooth related services in the Services options, especially OBEX. Google the services that you can manage here and either delete or change to manual anything that you find you don't need. (But don't change "Notify", or you won't be able to install any cabs!)
5. Disable any drivers you don't use with SKTools, I always disable all IR, Bluetooth, Cell, SMS, SmartCard, and GPS drivers with SKTools, then I come behind myself and make sure that any registry entries for any of these things are blank. (Note - not deleted altogether, but blank.)
6. Install the utak3r cab to disable the start menu.
7. Install the nueNoBar cab which can be found here on XDA after installing the utak3r cab to completely get rid of the bottom taskbar since you don't need it an it eats about 1 MB RAM.
8. Search the registry for Camera entries and disable them.
Also
Also, I'm not sure if my logic is right on this, but I think that if one disables everything that I disable, they can get away with a smaller pagepool. If I strip down my OS like I just mentioned, I usually also lower the pagepool to 3.2MB as well, and that helps.
Also, there's a second DWORD (limit0 - 73728) in your GlyphCache that can be deleted.
this beta rom works until 31 December this is very good
Come again? (That's what she said)
FYI - If you don't want to pay for or use a cracked version of SKTools, you can do all of the things I mentioned above with dotFred's Task Manager.
I want to try

- Official HK WWE 6.1 ROM, in case you need to flash back. http://www.mediafire.com/?zywjgmw5wzm
How To Flash:
- unzip Flashtool and flash.bin in C:/Windows/Temp/ (note there are hidden files, it's better unzipped directly there)
- hold record button then boot your device.
- The engineering menu will show up, choose 9 to enter DSUU Mode
- Connect your device to PC (the screen should show "USB Initialization done")
- Run Device Software Update Utility.exe
- Have some patience, it just take few minutes.
* If you flash under Windows 7, set Device Software Update Utility.exe to Vista SP2 Compatible Mode. However, it sometimes doesn't work for me, so I still suggest to flash under Windows XP.
* Some people suggest to do a hard reset (Master Clean) after flashed. I don't know the differences, but you could do that if it makes you comfortable.
Tested Functions:
- A2DP Bluetooth earphone (Muse 802)
- Camera works, video recording works
- Video call works
- Autoconfig works
- Alarms works
- Wifi works
- SMS works
- GPS works
- GPS Accelerator works
- Sync with Windows Mobil Center ok.

-Office 2010 from 23518
-Dynamic Pagepool
-Remove only unneccesary modules like autoupdate and bug reports.
-Chinese character display locale supported.
Issues:
- Video call wouldn't end properly, it's 28205 build specific issue, will be fixed in the next release.
- As described below.

Known Issues:
- FM Radio doesn't work (so I removed FMRadio components)
- Call log fails sometimes.
* Workaround: Install "Magicall" http://www.mobiion.com/magicall.html
This workaround is originally posted by KS20 users.
* Note: Some say this is because of GSM driver reloaded. What I observed is cprog.exe reloaded after entering suspend for a while. I think the system somehow flushes cprog.exe on resuming.
Removed OEM:
- Picsel Viewer, Autoinstall(Toshiba UI, Virtual Keyboard), ImageToText,Camera frames, ImageEditor, Stream Player, Blacklist, FM Radio.
- Toshiba Theme removed.
What I've Done and Fixed:
- Incoming Call Delay after suspend reduced to one ring
- Do some modification in initflashfiles.dat
- Put some ugly low resolution icons in Accessories
- Recmod lots of SYS modules, it should make the ROM smoother.
Todo:
- Clean up unused registry keys from OEM.
- Clean up unused drivers in OEM.
- May remove autoconfig data, it make /Windows a mess.
Signal lost issue
Thank you very much for this long awaited 6.5-rom
It runs very well and everything works as expected except one thing: unfortunately, after about half an hour in suspense mode, incoming calls aren't recognized anymore so the "signal drops"-problem remains (I'm using the Full, 8 MB Pagepool ROM) .... strange: sms receiving seems not to be affected by this problem as long as I have testet it....Now I will return to the the standard dialer because I'm currently using PhonEx and I want to make sure that this problem is not software related...
(It's a bit time consuming to test this, because whenever you change something, you must wait about an hour while the phone is in suspense mode before you check it, to be sure that the problem is fixed (or not) )

I'll figure it out. Thanks for your information.
I think this problem is build specific, I saw some HTC chefs encounter the same problem in this build(with HTC dialers).
If this problem continue to exist in later builds, I'll try to include a dialer toggler in ROMs.
I can confirm that this problem is build specific: I'm using the default dialer now and the problem hasn't occured anymore....
I'd like to test this ROM...thanks for your effort.
How can I go back to original ROM in case I want to?
You can make a backup of your original rom as described here: http://www.portegeclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2108
I have created such a backup rom but I haven't used it yet so I don't know whether it will work or not.

I can upload the Hong Kong English Official 6.1 ROM if you need it. It's a pure WWE ROM.

Oh? I didn't know pagepool can be changed by software.
Anyway, not everyone knows how to do it, what harm could more versions do?

In Full version, I removed only error report.
In Standard version, I further removed some unneccessary stuff like ADC, Autoupdate, MSTag, Sample Music, Bing Search...
In Lite Version, I also removed Enterprise, IPSec, VOIP, Voicecommand, Transcriber...
In future releases, I'll release only standard version and Lite version.

I saw both of ROMs(camelio's and this one), and I think, that's his own work. Camelio, you're not the only cooker for Toshiba G810. :]
You force people to "donate" you for your work, and I knew, thats sooner or later somebody will create his own, FREE firmware to TG810.
So: if you have no evidence, don't even try to shame...
@iankang:
In the ROM, there is much to improve. On my TG810, delay 'from incoming call to ring' is still about 3-4 signals.
Aha, it's very good job.

You claimed to solve the problem with "same power consumption with 6.1"
It truned out to be just a dumb way, and it drain your battery very soon!

ROM versions with Dialer will have ~5MB less RAM at boot.
TouchFlo 1.2, and it's Call History tab are now CAB add-ons for the titanium ROM.
The TF3D 2.1, and Sense 2.1 Call History tabs were updated by me, based on the original work of Lucasjohny for TF3D 2.0. Calls made through this tab do not require an HTC dialer to function.
Known Issues:
Click to collapse
Viewing Facebook updates from Contacts in TF3D 2.1 ROMs requires Opera 9.x for some reason (not included, go here).
All ROMs use more RAM over time, but usually stabilize. However, Sense 2.5 is a little piggy and can quickly eat all available ram in the Diamond.
Sense 2.5: attempting to adjust XT9 settings from Sense 2.5 will give "EzInputSettings missing error". This is due to using EzInput 2.0, rather than EzInput 2.1 packages (which are slower, and tend to swallow space bar presses for some reason). These settings can be accessed instead through "Settings -> Personal -> Input -> Touch Input Options".
Sense 2.5: Home screen app launcher seems to lose track of app locations at times. Removing icon, and re-adding it is a temp fix.

Frequently Asked Questions
Click to collapse
Q: Why won't "People tab" in the TouchFlo 2.1 and Sense 2.1 versions dial out?
A: Manila 2.1 People Tab requires the use of an HTC Phone Canvas. This uses between 5MB and 10MB of memory, so it is not included with all ROM builds. If you wish to use the People Tab, please install an HTC Phone Canvas.
Q: How do I activate "My Location" in Basics: Sense 2.5.2012?
A: From the Home Tab, click the Menu button. You can enable "My Location" with the bottom menu item. Then click "Update now" on the weather tab.
Q: What are Basics and RunCC UC and how do I use them?
A: UC is short for User Customization, and it is a method of configuring a ROM during the first boot after flashing or after a hard reset. The extent that you can configure the ROM will depend on the UC method used. Some abilities are listed below:
Basics UC: Allows easy install of CABs, registry files, and provisioning xml files. It will also restore PIM and Reg data backed up with UC_Backup.
RunCC UC: Can install CABs, provisioning XML files, TSK files, copy files, and execute other applications. Must manually create an "SDConfig.txt", and write an entry for each item to be installed.
More info on using UC below.

How to use Basics UC: (Supported since ROM version 1.14)
I've put a lot of effort into making Basics UC as easy to use as possible. Currently Basics UC uses a file and directory structure like below. There is a ZIP archive in the ROM Add-ons download section, with the below setup and sample registry and provxml files for setting up basic options like owner data, phone settings, and email accounts.
A backup of all PIM, owner data, and power settings can be made by running "UC_Backup". This will create a BasicsUC compatible directory structure, and backup your info to "\Internal Storage\Recovery\Backup". It will also make a dated backup in "\Internal Storage\Recovery\Backup\Archive", in case you want to restore from a different date.
\Internal Storage\Recovery\Backup
\Internal Storage\Recovery\CABs
\Internal Storage\Recovery\Registry
\Internal Storage\Recovery\Scripts
If UC_Backup.mscr had been run before Flashing, all PIM, and Owner data will be restored automatically.
All ".cab" files in the CABs directory will be automatically installed to main memory.
All ".reg" and ".xml" files in the Registry directory will be automatically imported.
RunCC UC: User Customization

Information about RunCC style UC can be found HERE. Basics ROMs will allow the use of "SDConfig.txt" in the directory "\Internal Storage\Recovery", in addition to the usual places.

There are a couple reasons I like the COM2 branch. The main one, is that it's the most stable and optimized version of 6.5 out there. There are also a few applications I use every day that don't work properly under the 6.5.x branch. Now, it's mostly minor graphic glitches, but it also causes more serious things like the issues with the task manager requiring odd work arounds, etc.
Now, that said, some of the more recent 6.5.x builds have gotten faster. I've been following the dev threads some, and once I'm a little more experienced with ROM building, I may take a whack at it.
Was there a particular ROM configuration you've been looking for?

Yes, I think I'd like a UC-enabled fully WM 23529 rom. As if MS had built it. Including Transcriber, Solitaire, the nice looking new MS keyboard that comes with 6.53 (I think), Internet calling. All the stuff that MS provides with the rom and nothing taken out. Vanilla. As Nature intended. MS dialler etc.
And then the bare minimum of HTC where it's needed (anywhere?) like for drivers etc.
I can add most else (Opera, Album, YouTube etc) using UC and cabs myself and keep up with the latest software versions without reflashing. But I have a decent plain rom with all the things it's supposed to have already in it.
That's my ideal configuration. I might never flash again.
Thanks for asking and good luck with your rom developments.

Just tested it, and you are quite right. I guess that's the problem with releasing 4 ROMs at once. It's hard to give proper testing to them all. I'm cooking up a new version of the TF3D21_EZ20 rom as I write this. I'll test it out, and re-upload it shortly.
I've included the Qilin dialer with this build, as well. After a bunch of testing, it seems to be much more RAM friendly than the other HTC dialer options I've tested.
It can be easily disabled through Advanced Config, if you want to save the memory.
Thank you very much!
Another question (maybe a silly one), what do you recommend to enable videocall (Ram friendly too)?
Congratulations

New version is uploaded. I have to admit that I haven't really read too much on video chat, since my version of the Diamond doesn't have a front facing camera. However, I know the Qilin dialer I added is capable of it. Give it a try and let me know how it goes. =)

This topic is about custom ROM for TMN Silverbelt (aka ZTE Raise, aka ZTE x60 and so on).
***For TMN Bluebelt users: please go to Custom ROM for TMN Bluebelt (aka ZTE n61).
Note: project discontinued, phone sold out.
Introduction:
In June, 2010 I received a ZTE-W x60 (general model name - ZTE Raise) handset as a gift. Unfortunately, the system language was Chinese, and my native language - Russian
The only firmware with understandable letters instead of hieroglyphs was from the Portuguese TMN Silverbelt, but it was in Portuguese language, and overloaded by useless TMN's soft.
I had to disassemble the firmware and work on language change and cleaning the garbage. The results will be shown in this topic.
The differences between ZTE-W x60 and TMN Silverbelt:
ZTE-W x60 is differs from TMN Silverbelt by hardware. ZTE-W x60 have 3.2mpx back camera without flash, front camera for videocalls and have no WIFI. TMN Silverbelt have WIFI, 5.0mpx back camera with flash and have no front camera. ZTE-W x60 is made for ChinaUnicom, and Silverbelt - for Portuguese TMN.
More information about the differences can be found in a post dedicated to disassembling the phones.
The differences between WM and Android models of ZTE Raise:
There is 2 hardware lines of ZTE Raise handsets - based on Windows Mobile (ZTE-W x60, TMN Silverbelt) and based on Google Android (ZTE x876). WM models uses MSM7225 CPU, and Android ones uses MSM7227 CPU. Another differences (like touchscreen etc) is almost not matter. But CPU differences kill the possibility to flash WM phones to Android directly. So, do not try to flash your Silverbelt or x60 by firmware from x876.
Notes and Warnings:
1. All surveys were made on the basis of the TMN Silverbelt firmware B08 and ChinaUnicom ZTE-W x60 firmware B02.
2. I accept no responsibility for bricked or locked devices or any other problems! You are use any information and any files at your own risk.
3. Before you flash this ROM, make sure you know how to recover from a non-booting ROM or to original ROM! If your device bricked, you can try to flash it by original flashers (B05 or B08).
4. You MUST read instruction in downloaded packages and post below.
5. I strongly recommend to flash phone with TMN's B08 firmware before using this firmware.
6. After every flashing you MUST perform a hard reset!
7. If you are use the software for backup and recovery, remember that these programs will work properly only within the same firmware. That is, if you phone flashed with another version of the firmware and you try to recover your data, you're may got unexpected behavior of the phone.
Network Unlocking:
This custom firmware network unlocked by default (handset uses ZTE-W x60 radio driver). If you need to use TMN-locked driver, go Start -> Utilites, launch "Raise Control", Select "Phone: use TMN-locked driver" then reboot your handset.
You can unlock your phone completely by enter unlock code for original driver. Use this calculator (download) for generate unlock code, or use this online service: http://nextgenserver.com/calculator/.
About camera autofocus feature of TMN hardware:
Camera loses autofocus feature when regional settings changed. I mean, once you changed regional settings from English (for English firmware) or from Portuguese (for Portuguese firmware) to another location, camera autofocus will not work until you change this settings back. In Russian firmware autofocus not work with any regional settings. But this bug presist in official B08 and B05 firmware. This bug was fixed in my firmwares dated 2011 and later.
Note to ChinaUnicom's ZTE-W x60 owners:
This firmware natively made for TMN Silverbelt hardware. It can be flashed into ChinaUnicom's handset ZTE-W x60 too. In this case you should flash your phone three times: with original TMN firmware B05, than B08, and finally this custom firmware. After booting, go Start -> Utilites, launch "Raise Control", Select "Camera: use ZTE-W x60 driver" then reboot your handset. Other soft that you may need can be found in bottom of this post.

This firmware is cleaned from any TMN trash, so it have even less than B08 About the difference in language and fixed bugs are not talking, right? In the future, I plan to integrate HTC software, such as Manila. And now to do a clean firmware on which basis it will be possible to build more.
Oh nice. But the ROM is in English only right?
Hi, finally news of hope for my SilverBelt. Wish you the best for your project

Maybe if you release a 2nd version keeping the PT friendly SYS and OEM, i.e. minimizing the language mods, you could get more PT testers for your ROMs
Don't know if thats so simple as it looks like... but it would be great
B08 is TMN's third official release (B04, B05, B08), AFAIK zte's device drivers improvement are considerable from ROM version to version (camera, GPS reception, G-sensor), I remember IExplorer "auto-rotation" came in ROM B05...
Maybe a clean chinese firmware would do worst than good... I wonder
My two cents, good luck

Now is English (409) and Portugues (816).
But you should understand, portugues is alien language for me Although smaller than the Chinese
When i complete cleanup, i plan to share my rom kitchen and anyone can cook own rom in any language. It will be simple

Chinese firmware is needed ONLY for me. I have ZTE Raise and it differs from TMN Silverbelt by hardware. On MY phone camera does not work with TMN firmware (I have it 3.2mpx) and no WiFi. Naturally, I'm not going to use the Chinese firmware to create firmware for the Portuguese silverbelt.
BTW chinese firmware is mooooore overloaded some **** than TMN

Unfotrunaly, our OEM and XIP can't be rebuild by last Bepe's platformrebuilder. In Bepe's kitchen language changes was very-very simple. Heh...
So... Here it is: http://ifolder.ru/18777918
Lang 816 (Portugues), build 23096 (shipped build).
Many thanks for the english rom.
I agree with dak76. But i understand our alien language. LOL.
I'm a portuguese developer if i can help you with anything...
There's any way to unlock zte raise that you know?
very good, keep up with good work.
Do you want touchflo for english firmware?? if you want i have it.
You can add Lesscro Network Wizard? That's nice to configure network parameters by country and operator.

I unlocked my raise by request on repair forum If i get unlock method, i will share it.
Oh, btw, please, please, add the HTC EzInput Keyboard (the one with the keypad, like this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=426281 or a more recent one, like 2.0) to your ROM because it's too hard to text with fingers with the default Windows Mobile keyboard and with the TouchPal (the TMN Silverbelt default) too.
Please add this keyboard, I tried to install it but I can't since I don't have the HTC's files.

It would be great if you are prompted with a stable WM build of the Portuguese language, which you yourself use. Maybe I would have done the following firmware for Portugal on this build.

QUOTE]
I think it is version 1919, but only work well if windows mobile language is in english.
Sugestion for ROM:
I think that you can integrate NOData in ROM, because it is a must have software, in relation to keyboard, i think that touchpal that comes with original TMN software is the best.

I dont have any build, sorry.
There're many requests... I like lite roms... But that's me...
I have noted that are missing the camera in windows menu and it's not working in spb mobile shell too.

All in the Portuguese Rom.
Keep the good work.
Props.
