[Q] Battery Drain on Arc, 2.3.4

Hi All
I know that there have been many threads on the battery drain issue but i wanted to see if we can get to the bottom of the problem. I have emailed SE support but they fob me off with the usual patronising answers.
Anyway I have an Arc, and i had flashed the firmware to 2.3.2 (3.0.A.2.181), and rooted it. Battery Life on this was fine, 1.5 to 2 days.
I have since flashed 2.3.3 (4.0.A.2.368), 2.3.4 (4.0.2.A.0.42) and 2.3.4 (4.0.2.A.0.58) With all of these firmwares my battery life is terrible, not lasting more than 12 hours, even if i put the phone in airplane mode during sleep. Using Battery Monitor, i see that with nothing running the phone is using at least 70mA. So obviously i tried to reflash back to 2.3.2, However doing so brought up the 0% issue. So i reluctantly went back to 2.3.4. I have also tried reflashing the baseband to 36, following http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1382657. However no change to the rubbish battery life. I have used things like autostart to stop apps from automacally starting, turned off bravia engine, auto network search, turn down brightness and everything, but still the phone uses up 70mA. So what is using up all this power? Do i have a faulty phone and should take it to the a service centre to get it replaced? Or will a replacement phone with 2.3.4 still have the same problem? Does anyone know which of the "essential" running services is using up al this power? the phone is rooted using zergrush, but the bootloader is locked.
This battery issue is really making me think twice about gettin another Sony phone, which is a shame as i have had one for the last 7 or eight years now...
Many thanks
Bolo
Is this battery behaviour normal on the later firmwares? Have I posted this in the wrong forum? Just want to know what my options are to try to fix this battery prob. My wife's sgs2 uses around 7mA during airplane mode! So the battery drain is really rubbish on the Arc!!!:-(
got the same problem, tried all the tips found in this forum, even doing battery calibration didn't help.. not sure if I'm doing something wrong.

[Q] Really Really Bad Battery Life

So i have an arc lt15i since april
and i think my battery life has been reduced since first purchase.
On FW 3.0.1.A.0.145 20-30 min 3G browsing=1%(100%-99%)
now on FW .62 33 3G min browsing=19% (100%-81%)
my signal is good -81dBm 16 asu
When i check in SE service test on battery health test it says:
Good,no need to replace it.
My arc condition is:
-had been repaired two times
first because restarting they give me new arc, second because 0% issue not new arc.
-never fall from anything
-unlocked bootloader via test point
-always changing ROM
-4181v on full battery.
-FW 62 , baseband 64 ,advanced stock kernel(doomlord)
-always overcharged every night
What i've tried:
-juice defender>not helping
-battery calibrating app from market>still same
-wifi browsing is about 10%/20mins
-decreasing brightness to 30%-50%
-turning off all sync
So my question is :
Do you think there is something to do with the repaired 0% battery arc?
Is my arc battery life normal?
Is there any app to check wear level?
How is your arc/arc s battery life when browsing on WCDMA/HSDPA?
Is SE service test true or not?
Does overcharging every night making my battery even worse?
Please give me some advice!
As you can see my grammar is bad so sorry about that
Thanks in advance.
I don't have exact numbers but the drain is less than yours and almost every night my Arc hangs on the charger while I'm sleeping.
Maybe you should stay on one ROM for a while and let the battery stats settle down.

does battery calibration worked? did u fix your problem?? i will try it
I have the same problem, calibrated with Battery Calibrator but no hope, so I bought a new battery and everything works well again. The tech guy told me that a phone battery is in good condition for only 1 year plus / 1000+/- charge cycle, after that you'll face battery drain and lots of battery issues like shut down even it has 20% battery (my case). Calibrate it, if problem still exist, buy a new battery, it isn't expensive anyway
i was facing the same problem..i fixed it with reset to factory data setting. i don't sure if this will works on your device but it works fine on my Play.

do a factory reset.
Or try to turn of Google Now, I've read in other forums that might cause high battery consumption as well.

[Q] Xperia S Jelly Bean overheat and battery drain

Well, hello everyone I'm having this problema with my xperia s since I got the Jelly Bean update the battery drain really fast firt I thought it was firmware thing since in some parts of the world there was alreay the .211, so yesterday I decided to put a ROM (this one) and results that my xperia starts to overheat and battery drain even faster that in .200 firmaware, I just want to know (or if there is any solution) who else is experimenting this problems. I had a hard case my GF told me to take it out, cause a friend of her had the same excat problema also I read on internet that its normal when OS update to have problems with the battery drain that the solution was to charge the phone to 100% and the let it discharge to 0% and then repeat the cycle 2 or 3 times more, but im not compleatly sure about that, what can you tell me? Thnx in advance and sorry for my bad english.
cheers

it takes 2-3 complete battery drain to complete charge for a rom and kernel to become stable with your rom if that rom still causes ur phone to heat and battery drain...try this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2263625 and if u have unlocked ur bootloader go for this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2309770
Heat and Battery drain
First of all I don't think that the Hard Case has to do anything with this..
secondly in the Initial stage, the ROM gets to settle down and uses lot more energy causing the phone to heat and draining battery..
P.S. you may find more relevant answer in the ROM thread that you've installed. try searching it there... :good:
I am also facing the similar issue. I have installed some custom ROMs, however my battery showing mysteries.. draining is very very fast!!!
5% per min.
