Mobile data problem after flash - G2 and Desire Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I ve got few days ago to the restart loop on my Desire Z on Cyanogen 7.1 stable.
Solved with downgrade / re-root / restore backup.
But - neither on downgraded version neither now on restored CM I cannot use mobile data.
Wifi is running with no problems, I can make calls - I see H/3G sign.
I tried as I was trying to find the solution:
delete / insert APNs
flash different ROM
hard reset / wipe cache / wipe davik cache / wipe battery status
but still the same ... any idea?

ok - I somehow managed to fix this.
After adding APNs manually I still could not connect.
Ive rebooted the phone, than connected to the wifi, downloaded some apps updates.
Then Ive disconected from wifi :
Build-in browser was still offline
Gmail app /gtalk online on mobile data
- then Ive downloaded Opera mobile browser and it was able to connect. So Ive tryied build in browser once again and it was online.
probably some kind of cache issue.
So please lock

[Q] HTC desire Cyanogen Mod 7 "New Market" Problem

I recently flashed the new Cyanogen mod 7 nightly and The new google apps. As I started to experiment with this rom, I noticed that i cannot download any market apps at all. Whenever i press download, the "downloading" notification would pop up for like a second or two and it would then disappear. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
-Dan
Did you try to clear data and cache for the market? That might help. It does not seem like a CM7 issue as it is working perfectly here.
Yeah I have tried that actually. Still the same problem..
Wipe all the data including both caches, flash the build and then flash the apps. Things are working fine with the CM7 builds since I use it. Maybe a radio update if your not up to date ish?
Same Issue
I'm having the same issue on my HD2 Typhoon Cyanogen 7. I was able to download apps from the market for about an hour, right after first launch - now (3 hours later), nothing. I don't have the ability to click 'clear cache' for the Market and I can't seem to download from the online market, either. I don't know whether I should try to clean-install Typhoon or switch to another ROM - or if this problem will just 'go away'. If anyone has further advice, or wants any info from my device, please send me a message.
Update: ROM Manager won't do anything, but I'm not too worried about that. Booting while holding 'Power' gets me to the Bootloader, from there I can get to the Clockwork Recovery. I tried 2 fresh wipes of Typhoon CM7 before throwing in the towel. Another ROM installed and I can download anything I want from the Market.
Ditto here. I installed on a full wipe and market is not working. Are you using wifi or 3g?

I have the same problem, i tried to solve it doing everything (uninstalling and reinstalling market, full wipe, re-flash the rom) but nothing.
I noticed that every time i re-flash the rom market works for a period but than gets stuck !
- download "zipsigner" from market
- select the new market apk (the one that didn't install and fc's)
- select "platform" as key/mode
- sign the file
the resulting apk can be installed as every apk
cc to c3k

I have your same problem on DHD CyanogenMod 7 RC2 (uninstalling and reinstalling market, full wipe, re-flash the rom) but the Market don't work!
I got the same problem and solved it by simply wiping my device (Desire) again without flashing CM7 (RC1) again.

could you be more specific on 'wiping'? how did you do it? having the same problem here.
EDIT: reflashed rom and wiped data and cache. market is now working.
EDIT AGAIN: market only worked to download GAPPS eg gmail, youtube, google maps etc etc. when tried to download other apps, a prompt comes up saying "the process android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly. please try again."
Hi,
Had the same problem, with cyanogen Mod 7.
First with stock (cyanogen) Market, then even after updating with the new market 2.3.4. Always the same, trying to connect and failure when downloading, no FC at all.
I just solved the problem by flashing again the radio 5.14.05.17 ! (I had this one before flashing Cyanogen and all the other communications were ok, except the market downloads so I didn't think it could come from there ...)
Hope it helps you
I simply solved this problem thanks Titanium Backup that takes back the Market (app+data). Obviusly you had had a backup!
EDIT: doesn't work...after reboot market doesn't exist... I've to rebuild it from TB every time.. that sucks
RE-EDIT: finally works!! I installed it from a backup and then I started it after flashing again gapps(if you don't have a backup you can unzip gapps.zip on pc then move the apk vending to the phone: install it with a file explorer) Then I entered my gmail username and psw(<--- important step) and now it works great! I've made also a reboot to test it.
Solved Problem
After flashing gapps, i had the same problem....
Try a restart - It worked for me!
Yeah, I have the same problem with my freshly installed, latest stable CM (7.0.3-desire). Not all downloads are affected, it's about a third to half of them. If I get the apk file in some other way, installing it works fine. It's just the download from the market server that stops after a second or so (or perhaps never even starts properly).
I've tried to clear market cache, tried rebooting, tried versions 2.3.3 and 2.3.6 of Market app, to no avail.
When you guys say "flash this" or "flash that", does that mean "update"?

i've manage to fix it.
first i backed up my SD card, partition it with ROM Manager, downloaded S2E from the market, check Download Cache, reboot. done. anything and everything can be downloaded now.
I managed to fix with re-flashing CM 7.03 and wiping data. For a couple of days it worked properly. Now from time to time it happens again and the only solution is restarting the phone. Probably I found a similar problem when I tried to install Cut the rope apk from my sd card, CM just did a warm boot. After a several try I restarted my phone and installation worked like a charm. Any thoughts?
what do you mean by using the term "flashing" ?
I am a noob and I am having the same problem too.

Cannot open market, maps, clock sync...

I have a problem on my DHD that started out of nowhere yesterday. I have Virtous Unity ROM installed.
Problem is, I cannot open Market (No connection, retry) or Google Maps (just showing grey area and not loading map). I even need to manually adjust my clock because it wont update through web. Doesn+t matter if I am on wifi or 3G.
I tried reinstalling google apps, restarting phone few times but nothing.
Also, tried searching forum but with no success.
Anyone have same problem or know how to fix it?
Thx!
Apparently, I cannot connect to any app on my phone that requires internet. Just tried Twitter and Facebook and getting errors.
You could try reflashing the rom

Tried without wipe but it didn't help. Is there any other way or I would need to wipe all and then reflash everything.
Id just wipe it and reflash it all.
But do a backup of all your apps/data first with titanium.

[Q] why no signal with MIUI 2.2.3

I have installed the ROM MIUI 2.2.3 from here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1448596&page=48
For some reason I get no service for calls or data usage... I had a different version of MIUI before and it worked fine, is there anything am missing to do?
When I go into the Cellular Network settings and search for Network Operators it says
"Error while searching for networks."
Help is much appreciated!
I have the same problem on miui 2.2.4 on O2X. If you do an automatic search you will see that your device get registered to the network and everything works.
LnZ
Ive used it with no problems. Anyways, it should work because it isnt on the not working list.
Did you wipe data/factory reset and dalvik cache when you installed it?

Stuck in White Screen HTC Letters Help!

Hey
The problem is I'm trying to flash the ROM Android Revolution 6.3.2 (which was what I had) and when I finish the process via recovery and restart does not pass the white screen with green letters htc ..
It happens that I have a problem with the connection to Google Play, Youtube, Maps and other Google apps, I have a connection wifi I've always used, and i did a factory reset.
I put the cel to factory state via PD98IMG.zip and I'm Root and S-OFF, there attempt to flash the ROM again and nothing, the screen goes white, I've done it 4 times to see if it was flashing bug but not .. I can not keep trying more ..
Any suggestions? thanks
Did you wipe all data? On the post it specifically says you have to use the Super Wipe script included

Solved Problem!
I guess the problem was that I was flashing the rom that I had on the PC, but went back to download and also download a super wipe, I made two wipes.
If you allow me to expound on what I was doing a factory reset. Applications google (google play, maps, youtube) do not connect. I have my wifi network for 6 months and one day to another these applications do not connect. Everything else if you can connect, only Google can not.
If I connect to the 3G network if you can connect, and reset the modem and router, the date and time are OK, I deleted the google cache and history and market play. I still have the same problem.

[Q] can't download after twrp su issue

Hi i had lollipop running flawlessly for a good while then noticed a small issue went to clear cache through twrp and i wasnt paying enough attention as it prompted me to install su and accidentally swiped it, phone was stuck on splash screen so i booted back into twrp factory reset the phone (advanced wipe selected everything) and reflashed the 5.0 bumped fix.zip and all is well..... Accept i cannot download anything other than playstore apps, so i cant use the update centre it tells me there are updates but selecting them makes them instantly try and fail, i think it could be 'Downloads' that needs to be updated to allow me to fix this but i cannot find the apk,
WHAT IVE TRIED
Ive cleared data and cache and force stopped any related apps ive tried multiple restarts, ive tried reflashing the bumpedfix.zip, oh and ive tried wifi and mobile data, its gotta be a read and write issue does this mean back to stock for me and update after?
Any ideas welcome
