I just flashed over my Evo to Gingerbread and love it. I had backed up everything with Titanium Back-up, but I cant seem to find the file that has Wifi, Bluetooth and 4G quick toggle buttons.
I love those things, does anyone have any idea what it's called so I can do a restore, or if you have a suggestion on a new similar widget I am all ears.
Thanks.

I'm on MikFroYo with Slayer69's CYAN Dragon Theme I have vanilla lock screen. I want menu unlock. Every thing I find is how to disable it. I tried
the app on the market but it dose not work. If anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated.
Me too. I'd also like a way to undim my screen with the power button. My top button has just about bit the dust.
Swyped from my Evo on steroids.
Nobody knows how to do this.
Lol I know it's on cm but I don't like cm. The aosp phone sucks, and I don't like adw or any other launcher other than stock.

Not sure I can help but don't understand the "I want menu unlock". Can you explain this better or in a different way so I get a grasp on what you want to do?
When i had Fresh rom I would remove HTC lock screen and would be able to swipe the screen to unlock or push the menu button. It seems like everybody is disabling this.
Sorry for the delay.
This is what I would try first after doing a nand backup of course!
Click on the paperclick by the Fresh Rom post and download "Rosie.apk". Install it and should overwrite the one Mik uses. This might give you what your looking for.
However, I could be wrong and it may just change the theming. But easy to return to what you have now with quick restore. I found a zip to add this feature but it was for Fresh on the Hero (which is where it originally came from). Not sure if it would work for the EVO.
Let me know if this didn't work and I will try to help further.
NM...here is what you want.

Just download the "Remove HTC Lockscreen" and flash it. Will give you the Vanilla Lockscreen and allow unlock using menu button according to thread.
*BUMP* See my previous post for solution.
Did not work it was disabled in the rom or the theme. If you look at the rotary lock screen post he disables it. I do not have that mod just an example. Some roms have it some do not. It has to do with the vanilla lock screen. With the theme I have he says to rename the HTC lockscreen app. witch lets the vanilla lock screen work.
I don't quite know what the thing is called. That's basically my question:
Can the pull-down connectivity bar at the top that allows you to quickly turn on or off wifi, Bluetooth and GPS as well as switch between vibration and ring tone be installed on a Sense ROM?
I've encountered it on CyanogenMod 6.1.1 and rather liked it. Unfortunately, I prefer some of the HTC Sense functionality, so I switched back to the stock ROM (after learning how to uninstall uninstallable apps, that is ). But the stock does not have this bar. Where it would normaly be, there is only my network provider's name and a delete button for the messages.
How do I get this functionality back?
Regards and thank you,
it's built into the framework of a rom. If you want the feature then I suggest you install a rom with it or just use the power widget thing
Seriously? The only option is a widget? That's sad.
Afraid so, the widget notification bar thing is one of the tweaks and features Cyanogen put in CM. It is quite handy.
Back when I had my Evo there were devs making flashable zips for notification pull down controls for this so I'd assume they're around for the G2 as well. On the Evo it required a Deodexed ROM though so you might as well just flash one that already has em in it at that rate.
Hmmm... I'm just warming up to the Virtuous ROM so I don't think using Cyanogen again will be an option.
Ah, what the heck, whether I pull down the menu or scroll to the right once doesn't matter much, does it .
Thanks for the replies .
1) I cant get the GPS working. I tried the fix mentioned in the CM7 thread here twice, nothing.
2) I cant install the sprint voicemail I backed up from titanium. It has a cross through it and only gives me the option to uninstall
3) Can someone recommend me some good SBC kernels for this? I was using 4.3.4-cfs-havs-less-sbc on Mikfroyo and I liked it
4) Can I set up ADW to have the scrollable dock like in Launcherpro?
Thanks in advance
1. Reflash the rom, or try opening maps first, then use your gps
2. Reflash to a backup, make sure its working, back it up, then flash back, and restore with data-or use google voice.
3. Savaged zen or Tiamat kernel
4. May have to buy the ex version
1) the gps icon isnt even appearing in the notifications bar at the top. I've reflashed twice already.
2) Turns out it only backed up the data, not the app. Where can I get the apk for it?
3) will do, thanks
4) fair 'nuff
If the voicemail app is a system app, you can only restore the data, not the app. You need to grab the apk & install it, then restore data.
ADW doesn't have a scrollable main dock like LP. It does have a scrollable hidden dock. Swipe up on the center icon & there it is. You can put an unlimited number of shortcuts/folders there - just drag and drop. You can do this in the free version as well, but Ex allows for the changing of each dock's individual background.
I'm not on my computer so I can't upload the apk, but I uploaded it to my Dropbox...

thanks much! I guess the last hurdle in the GPS then...

Did you enable it from the power widget bar?
i think I know what's up. I didnt have the GPS enabled while I was doing the fix. lemme try again.
yup that did it. sigh.
With your LauncherPro/ADW issue, this isn't really a fix but you can still install LauncherPro and use it like before. Install it, hit home, check always use this, and tap LauncherPro.
For some reason my power control widget is not working. I can place it on my screen but there are no buttons in it for me to select. What is the stock apk? Looking to find a stock one that would work with EL30.
What rom are you running? I've had this problem before, but it's been a while. I use cleanGB mtd right now.

I'm currently on cleanGB and minimalistic black theme. But I also ran advance data restore when I jumped over to EL30. I'm not sure what the apk is for the power control. I need the name so I can pull it from a rom or theme and push it through and see if it will fix it.

This is a common bug. Do this....
Place the widget on your desired screen and restart your phone, it will appear, give it time. I have experienced this bug on 75% of the ROMS i've tried.
Also try fixing permissions if that does not correct the problem.
that worked. thanks!
Another simpler solution that I always use is just place the widget anywhere then turn on wifi from ur status bar and it'll bring up all the buttons

Hi.
I wonder if there's any widget or similar to have it on the home screen to enable/disable data. I have a widged that I found it on the side for widgets that have controls to enable/disable wifi, bluetooth, ... but not data.
I'm sorry if this is already answered, but I can not find it..
Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance.
edit: sorry, wrong forum... Please move to the right one. My appollogizes
Power Toggles does that.
I used "data on/off" by Antonio LA Rocca until I installed Snapdragon Battery Guru on my phone. Now I use the wisher that comes as part of that app. Both work well
