When I enable cpu usage description in developers menu what do the figures mean. Eg, is presently says 0.14/0.17/0.15. Which one is present usage and what do the others mean?
Thanks.

Im not sure if this is the same for everyone but for my gnex none of the screen recorders (such as screen cast) work properly on the phone atvall . I was wondering if someone could tell me why that is or give me a different way of recording my screen.

Screencast states in info that it won't work with galaxy nexus. As to why..I don't know, maybe something to do with resolution or GPU...
Quick search gave me this:
Known Bugs/Issues: Tegra 2 devices: This is not really a bug, but an inherit problem with Tegra 2 devices. Screencast is built using NEON instruction set for the most part, and as such, requires a device that has NEON capability. Nvidia decided to not include NEON support in their Tegra 2 devices.
So I guess our GPU don't support NEON instruction sets.

Wow thank you very insightful and detailed. Do you have any advice on how I could record my own screen?

Get an MHL adapter and a HDMI recorder. They're not cheap though.

Here is a link to modify dead trigger to run tergra 3 graphics. I used ROM tool box it worked the best. http://www.jayceooi.com/2012/07/05/...gra-3-extended-effects-on-non-tegra-3-device/

This is too cool.:good:
Hmm does this make gameplay go slower?
I get a little hiccup when game first starts but after that it runs just like before but I'm using Trinity kernel with 537 GPU
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
On Tegra 3 CPUs it is also lagging a bit in the beginning. By the way, the higher gpu clock doesn't have any positive effect.

I can't get this to work. It resets to low every time. I'm on jellybean stock rooted.

Very cool! The shotgun is so much more satisfying when it sends em flying backwards And to think I was excited when I noticed I could change from low to high...

Your right about the display being better on the gs3 I don't know why Samsung didn't put the same one on the galaxy nexus but if my nexus isn't next to a gs3 then I think my screen is great
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Your right... the only thing that boggles my mind is that ... they both have the same screen technically... so I don't know how the GS3 looks better
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
I also think it's a different screen and of course wanted to put the best displays on there own Samsung branded phones. The note also has a better screen than my galaxy nexus

Surprised?
Either way, Google didn't want bleeding edge anything in any of the Nexus phones.
Its like comparing Ferrari and BMW, both are awesome, but.. And Nexus is more than 200$ cheaper, so.

Maybe Google should start looking in developing their own hardware instead of depending on another company

That'd anger a lot of OEMs.
And put Google in the patent crossfire I'm sure they would like to stay out of.

I thought the Gnex and S3 had the same exact display? Gnex has higher ppi as well. But some reason the S3's does look brighter...

I'm coming in a bit late here but I have both and am obviously on the nexus due to loving pure droid plus so much more dev support the bootloader was just unlocked on the sgs3 so roms and such are slim pickings at the moment either way though I love this nexus

Maybe that's not exactly the right title.. but can someone point me to a program to change the GPU speed and which kernels allow this? I have seen this on cm9/10.

There was a thread here on XDA a couple of weeks back where someone benchmarked performance at each GPU clock speed- stock was best.
Just passing along info.

Its only for emulators. They do run fine but at 512* it runs nearly 60fps constantly.

I didn't see a thread like this for the Galaxy Nexus so I'm sorry if there is already. But I was just wondering what kind of speed test everybody is getting in different areas on 3 or 4g, no WiFi, I know everywhere will be different but let's see what we come up with who knows maybe we'll learn something, so I will start. Here's mine from Detroit Michigan, I'm using aokp linaro with tiny kernel, and lets see your speed in mbps

T-Mobile at its finest
"And now a moment of silence, let us pray And as you journey into outerspace may the angels help to lead the way may the prayers that our families made shine up on your soul to keep you safe And all the homies that done passed away They there to greet you as you pass the gates And as you headed to the tunnel's light I hope it leads to eternal life We say the prayers"
