where can i download them from and how to install on ICS? the language i'm looking for isn't included on the phone...
i prefer just to keep using the stock keyboard
thx
Hi, I find this very interesting as well.
I have the UK Nexus, and would love to have the dictionary from the Norwegian version when it's available. I guess it's just keep hitting refresh for now? Or will add-on dictionaries from other regions never show up?
Also, will it be possible for someone with a Nordic phone to copy their Norwegian dictionary to a UK phone if both rooted? Also other languages of course...
I think this feature would greatly help in making it easier to try out different custom roms feeling secure you would be able to keep your native dictionary.

Id love to help you guys but in Sweden we waited several weeks for thw nordic adjustment from samsung, who said it was for dictionaries etc, but for some reason we finally gotvthe nordic modified firmware this friday and it didnt include any nordicbdictionaries. Actually the only difference from UK version seems to be new buildname and nordic paper manuals
Does anyone know if the russian predictive text works? i get strange results.. or maybe its just my poor russian spelling??

Hey guys Ive been searching everywhere for this I think the main reason I cant find what Im looking for is because I dont know what its called. Im looking for a keyboard apk that I can install on my epic, I want a keyboard that has T9 but I want the phone keyboard like the 1-9 buttons with three letters on each button. I have been searching for T9 keyboards but I am finding T9 qwerty keyboards and want just the regular phone keypad, anyone know where I can find one? I thought the evo had one but I am not sure.
-Edit
Also if I install a new keyboard it will not erase swype will it? Because I want to keep swype on here as well
Download Smart Keyboard Trial. It has

Lots of settings, and multiple themes(Iphone, Galaxy, HTC, etc)

that middle one is exactly what im looking for! any free keyboards like that out there? How long is the trial for that one?
Trial never goes out, but every so often it promts you to buy the full version. That's why its a "trial." Not that big of a deal IMO. This is the only free keyboard I've seen that can do t9.

ah ok i see, thank you!
Touch pal has that capability also and is completely free. When it comes up in the market look for a blue circle with a hand in it and the language will be chinese next to it. Just download and make it english only in setting. It will also make the physical keyboard better with word recommendations and what not. Hope that helps

Moved to Q&A
I've been using custom roms since i've bought my DHD.
With almost all roms, i've been facing same problem i.e. with urdu keyboard.

As you can see there is problem with these two words (letters don't join as they have to). But in ICS, it's somehow fixed.
This one is from ICS.
Any great ideas on how to fix it?
Note : i've been facing this problem only in Gingerbread. Keyboards have nothing to do with it. I've tried all (Go Keyboard, Swype), it's something internal with android.
i think it cause by font
replace font via ics
maybe will fix

Yeah, same in my mind but was not so sure about it. Because once i tried it and failed badly. I had my hands on samsung galaxy s2 (it had complete urdu inside it (middle east version)), so i extracted it's fonts and copied to my current rom (rcmix3d runny 4.0) but after reboot rom did not boot up.
Is there any safe way to do this?
And off course what font do i need for urdu? Because samsung galaxy s2 font names were identical to rcmix3d runny rom.
With urdu, there are some glitches with urdu words like this one.
But this one is fixed in ICS.
My question is, can i use custom fonts for specific language input? For instance, i've ICS font named "DroidNaskh-Regular.ttf" (true type font) and want to use it for Urdu language input in Gingerbread with GO Keyboard.
Is this possible?
Does anyone know why stock yakju 4.3 comes with google hindi input built in, when I flashed yakju full 4.3 google image I noticed I had this but I don't even want this as i'm not indian lol, had to uninstall using titanium backup to get rid of it, just don't get why google put it on 4.3 by default in the first place.
Does anyone know why stock keyboard comes with african or other languages, its hilarious, I am not a Bulgarian, Damn thing cannot be uninstalled also.
Its because the factory restore images is for all the devices around the world so they have installed those language ad-ons

I'm talking about actual Hindi Keyboard that is also available in playstore being baked an preinstalled into 4.3 as a system app an shows up underneath the usual English (US) Google Keyboard under Keyboard & Input Methods not the add on languages that are always there when you select a keyboard an go into its language settings, play store won't let you remove it unless you are rooted an remove it with titanium because its a system app not user app.

Hello everyone
Had to perform a factory reset through stock recovey now i have a M9 wich doesn't have the portuguese language option on setup.
This M9 is totally stock, with Android 7.0 and has the latest European firmware ( OS - 4.28.401.3 ).
Can i flash 0PJAIMG_HIMA_UHL_N70_SENSE80_MR_HTC_Europe_4.28.40 1.3_Radio_01.01_U114401011_117.00.61117G_2_F_release_498151_signed_2.zip RUU, since it has the portuguese language option on setup?
Is there other way to have again the portuguese language option on setup without flashing the RUU?
Thanks in advance
I'm not entirely sure, but couldn't you set the default language using the Google interface?
Peace
