[theme] Dark Transparent [v2.0] QuadLock ExtendedPwrMenu

Hi,
I've made a small modification to the basic SGS theme. With help from a user called fufus from a polish forum i managed to create an CWM recovery update.

-Quad Lock and Extended Menu (thx to Jim who added my theme to his rom and provided it with these features)
-New notifications (wifi,signal,gps,vibration)
-new dark menu (as I was having difficulty with compiling framework-res.apk after editing styles.xml, I took resources.arsc from R64 theme in order to have white txt in menus, big thx 4 that [and instructions on how to edit xmls)
-edited lockbars
-edited few png

Tested on DOC's BUJP8 and JPU It's got extended menu and AOSP Lockskreen.

It might sound silly, I am very new to android and want to apply such nice theme, this is a really nice theme, I Have rooted my SGS and installed lag fix.
Now I would like to apply this theme.

Very nice, I tried it on JPO/JPP and it almost work perfectly. But there are some Text errors in English:
1.The notification area shows the carrier name correctly but the next line of text under that is just some symbols and the Clear button also just shows symbols (%%/?)
2.On the lock screen where it usually says "Sweep" it says "Sending..."
But looks great, very nice with Voodoo's Screen fix!

I haven't tested it on them but
you can upload here your JPO/JPP unmodified framework-res.apk and twframework-res.apk and I'll try to modify them so that everything is OK.

Do I need a deodexed rom for this ? I have XWJPA stock installed , with root and CWM when I apply the theme via CWM install zip from sd nothing happens !
Ok, found it out .. when do it via CWM nothing happens, but if you rename it to update.zip and then flash it via 2e revovery it works great

Will wait until the text is fixed then will probably end up using this on JP8... looks good! I like how it is simple and not flashy.

This theme works fine for me on Doc's JP8 v9, no broken text that I can see! This is my favourite theme now, Dena was too garish, Elegant Steel not dark enough, and I'm not a fan of the circle battery and grey notification bar used in Transparent Black.
Please can you add the extended power menu? Most of us that constantly flash new stuff find the reboot and recovery options on there every useful!

You need CF-Root to apply the theme zip file.

Copy to internal sdcard
Boot in recovery mode -> install zip from sdcard - choose zip from sdcard

You need to have a deodexed JVK (2.3.3) rom first. Darky's is still froyo.

9.5 isn't jvk.

The files you need are android.policy.jar, framework.jar and framework-res.apk.
But remember: framework-res.apk is heavily modified

Ofc mate, take your time. About lockscreen i meant the default aosp icons.

I don't get it.
I had that problem too while testing some things.
But I wasn't able to restore the statusbar (a nandroid restore did bring it back though). BUt as I said, that was when I tested new settings...
Installing the theme provided here, no problems for me. Anyone else having no statusbar?

How to install:
First of all I want to say that I am not responsible for any damage that occurs during or after installation of this rom on your phone!!!
You must be on JVZ ROM and you must have ClockworkMod Recovery, and you have to disable any lagfix that you have.
Next download Zuby’s ROM, put it on your SD Card, enter Recovery, Wipe: System, Cache, Data, Datadata then select install Zip from SD Card, select Zuby’s ROM File and install.
After installation reboot your device.
For TwLauncher easy configuring: open Titanium Backup and then press the left key a popup menu apears and select the "Batch" option, when it opens roll down a bit till you see the "Restore all system data" options, select run, and then press the "Run the batch operation" on top. Now exit the app your done. Enjoy

open the application app from the dock...then press left key, then select edit, and you can drag any app you want in the dock

Looks very promising
EDIT: Looks nice, one slight change I would recommend though, in the settings menu, the only icon that is not changed is the HyperDroid Parts app, if that could be changed to look in sync with the others it would look better

Yeah it's a CWM flashable zip.[install zip from sd] (note: I have only tested it on deodexed rom so far)
Also just updated with better status and notification panel. (so might want to redownload (same link))

1 - How to (for those who will use my mod on stock)
Prepare a background picture (512x512 or 720x1280) and rename it "novabackground.png". Just open the framework-res.apk I provided
using 7zip and navigate to /res/drawable-nodpi
Delete it and drag&drop Your personal background. Be sure to name it "novabackground.png"
Using the flashable zip I provided or a Root Explorer You can push new themed framework-res.apk in /system/framework.
2 - How to (for other ROMs)
You will need:
- apktool
- notepad++
- 7zip
- framework-res.apk from the ROM you're using
1) Install framework-res.apk;
2) Decompile it;
3) Navigate to /framework-res/res/values/ and open styles.xml
Search for:
Code:
<item name="colorBackground">@color/background_dark</item>
and change it with:
Code:
<item name="colorBackground">@color/[COLOR="red"]transparent[/COLOR]</item>
Search for:
Code:
<item name="windowBackground">@drawable/screen_background_selector_dark</item>
and change it with:
Code:
<item name="windowBackground">@drawable/[COLOR="red"][B]nameofbackground[/B][/COLOR]</item>
4) Prepare a background (nameofbackground.png) (512x512 or 720x1280) and add it to framework-res/res/drawable-nodpi
5) Recompile back and ... done!
6) Next time you can use 1 - How to
NOTE 1: This mods are only for deodexed!
Can't do MOD's for Odex for now (don't have my phone ). If someone wanna provide also for Odex I will be very happy
NOTE 2: I can't test this mods, because don't have Maguro. This mods was previously tested on asr rom (a stock rom) and on Nexus 7 today making same modifications on N7 files and works well. Please test and let me know/provide a screenshot please with Multi reboot, I will put on credits!!. Make a nandroid before flashing this

through rom tool box I put the softkey definitely going to change and that because the system ui .... quiet resolve ..

Hello enri, vthen tried on stock ODEX and it works but the invisible power is at the center, you can do the mod for stock invisible power left? so as to use center clock etc. .... thanks for your work
