Internet Browser Bookmarks in Folders ...?

I have an Evo with stock OS. When I first didn't see any way of storing browser bookmarks into folders, I assumed I just needed to dig deeper. But now I've convinced myself that there is no way to create folders & store browser bookmarks into folders that are integrated into the browser. That really surprises me. I was able to do that in 2005 with WinMo.
Is there another version of the web browser that supports storing bookmarks in folders? If not - can someone recommend a decent browser that does?
I'm not talking about creating a folder along with all my app icons in Sense. I'm talking about folders that are integrated into the browser application - just like you would see in a generic web-browser like WinMo, or Firefox, etc. Would Opera or Dolphin fit the bill?

Syncing bookmarks to chrome

Hey guys... I just got an E4GT and I would like to sync my browser bookmarks with my desktop chrome.
I have a honeycomb tablet and the browser has a sync option right in the settings, but I can't find any such thing on the E4GT browser.
Is there a sync options built in that I am missing? If not, please let me know how you are importing or syncing your bookmarks from the desktop chrome browser.
Thanks.
You can sync your bookmarks to your google account.
Select the little wrench in the upper left corner of chrome and choose options.
There should be a side bar option called "personal stuff", just set up sync, check bookmarks, and that's it.
Sent from the future.
Thanks for the reply... I appreciate it.
I have those options already checked in my desktop chrome... but how do I get the bookmarks to sync onto my phone? It's not happening automatically.
Try syncing your google account with your phone. Maybe you don't have bookmarks checked?
Settings » accounts and sync » (your account) ..
Make sure bookmarks is checked and sync.

It's weird because this is the first thing I checked, but there is no option for bookmarks... just music, contacts, gmail and calendar. But I definitely have it synced from my desktop because I am getting them on my honeycomb tablet. I wish I could figure it out.
I am also interested in having my chrome bookmarks be synced to my phone, anyone else?
Download Chromemarkslite from market, it does what you want here.

I tried it, but it doesn't seem to put the bookmarks in the browser, just imports them into the app.

Bookmark in Chrome

Can pls some1 explain why Chrome has three default bookmarks folders that cannot be deleted? There's mobile bookmarks, desktop bookmarks and others bookmarks.
I have all my bookmarks in stock ics browser and they are in sync wth google.
When I sync the bookmarks in Chrome the ones from the stock browser end up in the desktop bookmarks, which is annoying... I would like to have, like in the stock browser, only one set of bookmarks, i don't care if they are desktop, mobile or others...
Thanks

Chrome Bookmarks

Is there a way to import a bookmarks html file into Chrome? I've been using Xscope on my other devices for a while and have an exported bookmark file. Xscope sucks on JB. I'd give Chrome a shot if it imports bookmarks... otherwise onto AOSP or Dolphin or Boat.

Chrome syncs your bookmarks with your google/gmail account. you could move the html file to your desktop and import them into Chrome on Windows or Mac and then it SHOULD sync to your account thus showing up on your phone/tablet
I don't use Chrome, but I do have it on my pc. I had imported all my FF bookmarks to it and don't want that many. I'll decided whether to delete them all and reimport the html file... I was just hoping there was an easy way on the N7.
I tried file:\\\mnt\sdcard\bookmarks.html and Chrome opens that file. But when I save that link as a bookmark, it won't open it from the bookmark (this works in Xscope and Boat). I may just do home screen shortcuts...
Make sure you sign in with your Google / Gmail to Chrome on your computer. Chrome will then automatically upload your bookmarks to the cloud.
They should then be available on your N7 under bookmarks / desktop bookmarks.

Google Chrome bookmarks on any other mobile browser

So this is a very quick and easy way to use your chrome bookmarks you've carefully collected on your computer but now your chrome browser ducks and is laggy. I have been looking for a way around most browsers not sure syncing chrome bookmarks for a while and I stumbled on this just today. So turns out if you have a second browser, for me it's dolfin mmm so smooth, and you place the Google Chrome bookmark widget on one of your pages, click one of your bookmarks, then it actually asks you which app you want to open this with and you can then of course default it to your browser of choice and just like that you can have a all your bookmarks at the ready for any browser
Another option is to export Chrome Bookmarks as HTML file (from your PC), put it on your SD card, and access it with: file:///storage/sdcard0/xxxxbm.html (or whatever path). Then create a screen link to that bookmark. Click the link and browser opens to your bookmarks. The HTML file is also easily edited in your explorers html viewer (or on a PC). "Most" browsers support the file:/// access (except Chrome).
