any ideas on good case?
i want it to be slim, yet provide maximum protection (i carry my kindle in my backpack, so it's not safe )
i want to have stand functionality, so i can convert case into a stand, say i'm on lunch and i want to watch hulu or i'm on airplane and dont want to hold it for 9h
preferably all that but not for $99, cases that sold for that much is just ridiculous... i dont really like spending $40-$50 either...
Roo Case
I like this one, had another by same manufaturer for the Color Nook. Good quaiity.
Search for this on Amazon, I wasn't allowed to post a link. It is $25.

While it is listed on Amazon it's from a third party seller and availability is listed at 3 to 5 weeks.
I'm waiting for it too
i heard it will start shipping between may 4th to the 6th. Am waiting to get my hands on one as well. Am not happy with the current price point. Especially the amazon price. I have seen others online with way less. Maybe the price will balance out once it is release. But it's a good investment, considering the device it is for. That's less then a best buy insurance for a year. So i won't mine buying one at that price if it stays that way.
The tech specs show the case as .84" but I think that is without the stand. Anyone hear how thick the combination of case and stand will be?
Looks like this case is for folks with hard wear situations only. No sure how appropriate it will be for normal use. Thoughts?
i do believe it's on the thick side. as most of the outterbox cases are. they sometime makes lighter version. but i mean for what i spend on this baby, i'll want to get the best jacket for her. it will keep her safe from everything, weather to falls. even the dog. lol
MobileCityOnline.com is taking preorders at 69.99 and have a in stock date of 05/06 listed. Think I'll pass on the rooCASE now that I know when the otterbox will ship.

What's a god cheap case for this tablet? I've seen some on amazon for about $20 but don't know if there's anything better for around the same price. I'm looking for a case and not a cover.
Look at the Pyroskin cases. http://www.pyroskins.com
Task has done reviews on a couple of them in this section. Picked up the Clip case last night (waiting on delivery), but from what I hear it's a great case at that price range.
thanks I'll look into it
It can be more expensive... but believe is very nice.
I have one of this:

Your tablet get extra protection for scuffs and any damage aroud it!
in store today I only saw one at $60. I guess online is better.
I got the Otterbox for my Xoom when it first arrived, having 2 kids and chucking it in and out of the car I was wanting something hardy to protect the device.
However after a few months now its a bit too bulky for what I want.
Does anyone here have a decent folio job they can recommend thats protective enough without the bulk?
Preferably in the UK, I like the look of the Zoogue one with its handstrap come headrest strap but to get one and get it shipped over here is going to cost £50..

I recommend Zoogue, it is on the more expensive side, but the design is very solid.

I agree. I have one and love it. I currently have the black one and am thinking about getting the pink one as well.
Ended up ordering the Motorola one from Amazon, will keep an eye out for someone in the UK that does the Zoogue ones..
Does the folio case have a charging connection? so i can plug it in whilst 'on the case'

No, you would have to modify it with a dremel.

Mines just turned up, you can have the device in the case but as the ports are covered you have to have the case open to plug the charger in, and because the charger is at the bottom you cant really have the Xoom on charge and use it at the same time, unless you have it in your hands, on that point the Otterbox wins as you can put it in its stand thing unside down and have the power cable in what is then the top, folio cases dont let you do that :/
Here's hoping the Xoom2 has its power in the side because with this folio you can access the power, camera, speakers, sim/sd slot, the only slots you cant access while its shut are the bottom ones, might not be an issue for the majority of users but tbh you would of thought that someone in Motorola's "asthetics" department would of tested it with at least there own accessory line....
I ended up getting this for my wife's Xoom and it works well while being much thinner than it looks in the pictures. Here is a link if you need:

I bought the AYL case off Amazon. The current version has the bottom ports exposed.
I originally had the moto folio case, but I definitely prefer the AYL one, not just because the ports are exposed, but because it seems to be decent leather.

I'm not having much luck finding the right accessories for the extended battery installed in my Galaxy Nexus from VZW.
I recently purchased a rubberized case that did fit from Staples, but I just killed it trying to re-open it when having to re-seat my sim card.
Not happy about that..20 bucks down the tubes. Might try to find the packaging for it and send exchange it, but ...
Anyhow, I'm searching all over Amazon and it's like hit or miss on stuff. I like the Sedio but my lord it's expensive. 30+ for a case...bleh.
Can someone recommend something that isn't super expensive but can protect my phone?
I really like the rubberized case and I love to holster, so I really want a combo of that, but not at the expense of my wallet.

And now I've found:

Yeah the sticky is pretty useful when deciding on a case. Ive personally owned three with holsters. The Otterbox Defender offered the best protection of course and never felt it would jump out of the holster no matter what. This is obviously extremely bulky but tend to use it when i need the most protection. The Qmadix is a surprisingly very nice case but doesnt offer full protection around the top and bottom. It is very sleek and love the holster on it. The Seido is also a nice case and combined with the holster, is very secure. $30 really isnt too much when you think about it if it serves all your purposes and if it protects your phone from even one drop. I have quite a few cases for my Nexus but tend to stick with my otterbox commuter most. GL in your search and if youre near a Sprint/Verizon store, go in there and compare the cases. Then come back home and order them cheaper on Amazon. I've heard good things about the Kraken as well. GL

Hi,
If you don't have any available that is cool. In your research did you find one that did not add to much to the heft. I had a D30 case for my GS2 that saved it several times. Is there anything like that available?
Thanks
For those looking for a cheap but good case , I bought the Minisuit Frost TPU Case for Amazon Fire Phone (Black) off of Amazon for $2.95. I wanted something I could toss if I sent back the phone, but I think I will keep it on. It isn't a heavily armored case, but it is thin, has a no slip surface back, proper cutouts and nice button covers, hard plastic surrounds, and seems to offer decent protection (I dropped the phone once and it survived in this cass)
Buddibox case
I bought a Buddibox case from amazon, was about $10
Very happy with it so far. I like to carry phone on the waist. This case has two parts. One clips on the waist and another around the phone, one slide on the other.
The phone case is rubber with hard plastic skeleton with a stand on the back if you want to keep phone upright for videos. Has 2mm or so lip all around the screen.
The belt clip swivels so one can adjust it for comfort while sitting etc.
cases
hey isnt casemate cases realy good
thats what im puting on my fire phone and have on my htc one m8
