Hey everyone.
I was wandering through K0nane's noCIQ thread and the link to the ODEX version of the noCIQ removal mod seems to have vanished. He says "Sure, use the odex version posted here in the forums." but I can't find it no matter which sub-forum I search. Supposedly strongsteve created it, but I can't find that anywhere either.
I don't want to flash a full ROM quite yet, and all this recent news on CIQ has gotten my hackles up. Anyone know what happened to this, or where I can get it?
Its currently not on that thread and I deleted the wrong damn file so mine is gone. At the moment if anyone has it, they are remaining very quiet about it.

I still have the file you sent me but it borked my radio every time I flashed it so I'm not so sure i'd want to give it out.
I just went through my download folder and I have a couple of zip files of the mod and one says odexed signed.
How do I know for sure it is odex and the right file?
File is:
nociq-e4gt-odex-signed.zip = 11,447 KB
Files inside zip:

Don't give that one out. It ended up giving me fits as well. I think I deleted the wrong one and POSSIBLY that is actually deodexed version. I need to dig into it a bit and see which it really is first

That's the one I had flashed on my rooted stock phone when I didn't want to flash anything because I felt my phone was perfect stock. I know that's it but if you want me to Odin to stock and flash it right now, I will....modem version wont matter. There may be bits in the kernel or modem but the ROM is where its activated from and its all disabled with the zip

again........I have not flashed it yet and JohnCorleone has not tested it yet either so dl and flash at your own discretion. If you do flash with success, please report back the success just for confirmation for others.
I am headed out of town on business for the weekend so I can not flash right now and risk having to Odin and set phone all back up. If nobody reports back success by the time I get back on Sunday, I will flash myself to be the test rat.

Actually he includes really extensive instructions in his description in the market, and in the app. It actual is more user friendly than the ODIN on the computer. It knows what you're flashing based off the file type selected and automatically readies your phone for everything, even going so far as to block off access to other options which would cause damage to your phone. Plus its impossible to lose root and it doesn't up your Odin binary counter OR cause that awful yellow triangle. This is a God send.

Yeah I read all of that. I think the past that I was confused about was the kernel you needed to download in order for it to work. What is the point of that extra file and will it change the kernel that is built into the ROM?

What do you mean the extra file? The extra file it downloads to get itself working when you first open the app? I'm not sure what it is.. I just assumed it was the rest of the program to cut down on a huge download from the market. But I'm not sure.

Whether you buy the app or use the free version it still uses that file and my question was what that file actually is for not if the app is worth $2.
Not sure if I am unlucky or what, but I can't get mobile Odin to flash anything correctly. I've had boot loops, stuck at Samsung splash screen and it just plain not flashing what it said it did. I am disappointed I paid for this app. Regular Odin is much more reliable.

There was a glitch he had to fix along the lines of what you're experiencing. His fix was pushed through the market. And then be asked us all to delete the file that the app downloads initially so that it could redownload an updated version. That should fix your issues. Mobile Odin has been nothing but reliable for me :-\

OK make sure you have a root explorer with read and write capabilities. If you go to the very top file after that you'll see a folder called system. In the system folder will be a lib folder. Copy the lib and paste it there. Then copy seclauncher2.apk to the app folder that's inside the system folder as well. Let me know if you got it. Then reboot.

I dunno, if you don't have the full functionality you expected I can only think of two possibilities at the moment. Most likely it is dependant on an updated library. Less likely it could be due to not updating via kies or odin.
I've narrowed down a few possible files. Ill attach them shortly for you to try.

Sorry it took so long.
So this is the next best thing I can think of to do.
MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP!!!!
Download and extract keyboard.zip from the link below.
I set up the file structure to match where the files need to go. Figured it'd be easier.
Copy the files from the zip to the matching folder on your system. Mind the permissions, reset them to the originals.
Reboot phone and give it a try!
BUT DON'T FORGET TO HAVE A NANDROID BACKUP FIRST!!!!
If you feel like it you can do all at once or a few files at a time, testing along the way to narrow down which ones were really needed.
Keep in mind. I do NOT know if this will work. It is entirely possible I may have missed a lib or other file when I went through everything. I think i got everything, but you are welcome to check and try other files you think may help that I didn't include. I think you'll get the idea of what I'm trying to do.
If I think of anything else to try, ill let you know!

So I tried one folder at a time and changed permission on most except for the other languages as I didnt think I needed to besides the "en" ones. But still no go unfortunately. Again thank you for taking your time to do this and help me out. Not sure where else to go from here. I think I will just stick with Go keyboard for now atleast with Freegs3 rom. I'm also trying out wildchilds new rom so I may stick with that as it already has the new kb.

Oh well. It was worth a shot. You never know unless you try!
And thanks for trying, btw!
At this point its prob not worth the effort going forward with it. It definately can't hurt to have that little more insight into how different that latest update is though.

Oh and I'm sure redruM is going to update freeGS3 when he's ready. So you'll probably be able to get it with his rom too if that's what you like running.

Maybe getting ready for the upgrade?? :/
Seems like another minor ota baseband/modem update. Perhaps more phones are getting it though most of the gentlemen on the forum use custom roms so no one noticed. Or maybe..... Just maybe noodles is right.

From the docs provided, T-mobile does not intend on releasing it, not even optionally. Perhaps you can provide a system dump, to show tmobile, dont worry about, we got this!
I'm also running T989UVLI1/IMM76D.UVLI1 after having my PBA replaced by Samsung.

Well... I just flashed CM10 stable. IMO The stock ROM wasn`t worth it. There was no noticeable change from UVLH1 that I saw. In fact I thought it ran a bit worse. Maybe it was all the bloat. But the radio I haven`t changed so we can still rip that bad boy out. Fullflex still has his stock UVLI1 installation intact though.

Also does anyone know what the changes are from MA5?

Thanks, its cool to be able to do that kind of work an still be mentally capable to handle technical skills.
My brother in-law is fire. People never realize the whole effects of what you chance and do. You may live in the middle of nowhere, but every day your life is on the line for others.
An just my opinion, you do what you want with a rom. Your posting and "sharing" your work. Your fire/emt, not a developer. This is for fun. Your sharing something you wanted to today. If tomorrow you never touch it again, that's more than most here have ever done.
Sorry to rant, it pissed me off to see someone say crappy things about a rom you posted saying things didnt work...wtf ever, you want it working fix it yourself...
You want to help, pick up a book...read a website, do something except suck the life out of ppl..
:what:

Or maybe, I don't know, find something that works and quit being a greedy, selfish, spoiled child. The ROMs are free none of us get paid to do this sh!t, we do it in our free time instead of spending it with family or doing something else we'd like to do. This entitlement mentality is getting retarded, you want it working the YOU spend YOUR time fixing it instead of wasting that time whining like a little ballerina whose tutu is wedged up her ass FFS contribute and be useful instead of spending all your time being a whiny f_ck_ng leech.
I like to break stuff!
Who said anything about entitled? My point was just that users aren't the only ones being whiny babies here.
As it happens, since you bring it up, I HAVE spent countless hours over the years helping countless people in public tech forums (going back to before the internet) for free in several other venues that just don't happen to be Android. And I never felt the need to tell a user to shut up and like whatever crap I happened to grace him with. Partly because I spent the time to make sure it wasn't crap but hey that's just me the asshole.
Then there are also things I've made, and released for free, that are incomplete in some way, and guess what? I know it's incomplete and all I'd ever say about that is yeah you're right that could be a lot better but I'm just one guy and I'm not really very good in that language and that platform and that's probably about as far as I'm going to manage, sorry. Not "shut up and be grateful!"

back on topic. I flashed all three from MA5. No issues. Wiped divack, cache and system. It keep all my apps and settings. It did add all the crap I didn't like though.
Perseus Alpha 34 (jan 31) works fine thus far. I was able to use MA5 4-1 power menu and mutliwindow app mods. They appear to be working. I was able to use the multipwindow and reboot into recovery.
I'm not saying it's all working. Nothing has come up yet within the couple hours I have had it loaded.
Hi guys, I'm new here and have a question. I am on a Sprint note 2 with stock MA7 odedex and i would like to start flashing roms mainly Jellybomb from Josh Beach. Can I just flash the stock deodexed rom over my stock odexed rom? Is their a better/easier method to change my rom from odexed to deodexed? Also if I can flash over my rom do I need to flash the rom, modem, and the kernel or just the all in one?
And last of allcan some one post instructions on how to do this?
Thanks in advance for any help in schooling me.
P.S. I am rooted with trwp recovery.
Andre
