When the update firmware OTA Lolipop?
I'll give you a precise answer. When will be. We are not gods, we do not know the future.
Want to know when exactly? Ask Motorola.

There is an "auto firmware update script" in the development section.
My question is: why do I need firmware updates? I have a redmi 3s (currently) and want to upgrade soon. Why do I need to flash the lastest xiaomi firware? I've never flashed/upgraded the firmware (except by flashing the stock rom), so what's this "you need the latest firmware" thing all about? What are the advantages/disadvantages?
I'm sorry if it has been already answered, but I really couldn't find a conclusive answer. Thanks for you help guys ^^
