Ah you beat me to it. I dk. It looks really bright. I feel that I would scratch it. I had the white amaze and was ocd about cleaning it because lint and dust would be easily noticeable on the white finish.

Haha ya its feminine but its sexy as hell and something different and the chrome goes perfect with it. ALSO i wonder if the white would turn yellowish like some of the iphones because of the heat...

Sad part is as much as I want white, I don't know if I'd be willing to go through a few more units to find one with a good screen..
Maybe someone will offer the white color kits like they did with the iphone 4 a year ago.
In that case, I'd be down to have a white Galaxy S2. I think it looks hot especially with the right case!

Wow. Just today i was considering buying a white i9100 on Craigslist for $400. Good thing i decided to check out the forums first. I'm definitely going to get this one.

Whites not that hard to keep clean, and it looks freaking nice! Damn I wish I didn't already have my black GSII lol oh well

They have white cases, so saves me money if I really want one. Other than color, it's the same phone.

When you say white case, do you mean like a phone case to protect the phone itself or are you saying that the white kits are available now?
If they are, that's what I want for Christmas lol

Idk about a kit. I meant just a case to protect the phone. I've seen done white gel and the hard ones.

i also dig the white t989... i really liked the white i9100 too but sort of regret getting the black t989 now. i have the white D30 case though, and it looks great.
i wonder if they'll sell white housings on ebay. those used to be so easy to find back in the day (think Nokia and Sony Ericsson pre-smart phones)... but now they're a rare commodity.

If they sell the white kits, I'd be willing to do the conversion. I was one of the first to convert my iphone 4 to white a year ago.
I got stopped everywhere I went bc folks wanted to know where I got the white iphone lol
I must have got a good batch of parts to work with because even when I sold it no one knew it was customized.
I'd be willing to go down this road again vs. going through the trouble of selling my phone with a good screen and praying I find another one like it

Don't know yet, it's on its way. They have extremely good feedback sooooo I have good hopes. I'm probably going to do a step by step when I replace it. Stay tuned

How does that seller get the screens? If it's from the same factory that manufactured the official screens, then there's still a possibility you'd get a defective one.

Would it be cheaper/easier/more reliable to just buy a scrap phone for parts instead of just a manufacturer replacement screen? That way you're at least assured the screen worked on its original device, plus you have all the extra hardware as well. I've done this with my old iPhone 4 and it worked like a charm and only cost me $80 from craigslist.

Try buying someones brick for a couple hundred ( or if you can get a blacklisted one cheap ). Spare parts are ALWAYS good to have around.

Did you purchase your replacement finally?
I have seen some offers on ebay but I am not sure if they are Superamoled screens.
I have also been told to call Samsung directly at 1-877-EZ2GALAXY (1-877-392-4252), Mon-Fri: 7 AM - 9 PM (CST), Sat: 9 AM - 6 PM (CST).
I will call Samsung tomorrow monday.

And that's how you get the lines and blotches on your new screen! It's a slim chance, especially since the screen problem has been brought to the public's attention, but still a chance. There are probably CRATES of old, potentially flawed screens out there that have yet to be sold.

looks really nice but i have a feeling it would scratch up the edge when inserting the phone. unless theres a padding around it.

Its nice to see some options out there as i've wanted one since I switched to android
I LOVE the iWood cases for the iPhones and while I don't think these are quite up to that level its certainly a start in the right direction

i asked tech21 regarding the cases and SP. they said there are currently no plans to make these for nexus 5 at the moment. hmm.

just to let you guys know, bell store in yorkdale mall has the flip tech21 cases in stock for 34.99

I was for a little while. After a week or so of use, the buttons feel much more tactile and I can actually feel a slight click when pressing them.

A friend of mine got the case a few days ago an the clear back already has quite a bit of scratches on it which is why i decided against it. It is a nice lookin case tho

All cases with clear backs will get scratched. It all depends on how much you take care of it.

Awesome, looking forward to the review. I was thinking of jumping on the white as well. I'm just concerned with it being a matte finish.
Anything that isn't black with a matte finish tends to stain easily which is probably one of the reasons why the white Nexus 5 uses a different material. I'm hoping that isn't the case with yours, so I can pick one up!

Looks just like the quick cover, but without the cover.
Honestly, the recessed button would annoy me if it weren't for the cover waking the screen. Its not all that easy to press. Other than that it seems like a great case.

And here it is!!
I live in Toronto, and im calling every bell store in town tomorrow to see if i can snatch one, or else i have to wait for the online store to get them in Stock

I interpreted it as "we don't have them in stock yet". It was pure luck that I happened to be browsing the Bell site for N5 accessories.
I'll post here when I get an update.

Hope these come out in the UK, would be nice to have something slimmer than the bumper case (which is nice btw)
