Hello!
I've installed the Rogue Kernel v1.1.3
"Outlaw"
How can I uninstall this kernel and install the Stock Kernel back? Please, give me a link on the stock kernel only?
I really need it. After I flashed this kernel I started to have some very strange errors.
Thank you!

So I'm running the peoples rom on my new epic (and it's amazing) but I was wanting to install a font from rom toolbox and was wondering if that would hurt anything.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Doesn't work on cm9 but any other rom will work just fine. You could just use font installer .

Modem (baseband) seems to be personal choice these days. As a habit I always go with the latest official but it is what works best for you.

Oh that makes sense so which one would be recommended for the peoples rom?

I always use the latest official so am currently on FC09 but have seen no change from when I was on the EL30. Either one can be odin'd in or put in through a series of flashables.
Ahhh ok sweet thanks man I appreciate your time very much

So does anyone still have this version of the kernel? The one with oc & uv. I know its very outdated but I have never seen any kernel run as well as that one did on my phone. Idk how I lost it. I tried downloading it from the kernels thread but its link is dead. Does anyone have it lying around on their computer somewhere?=)

Bbelos is about to release an FC09 kernel if you wait a day or so.

Or if you're in a rush you can extract the kernel from simplesensei new Rom. It has bbelos FC09 kernel built into it.
It's a simple copy and paste

good, gosh I was getting sad already even though there is a AOKP rom having this one out there is also a good idea, for my opinion i'll use your rom cause it have both of cm9 and aokp.
thank you for not letting this rom go to dust.
It was your mods that nearly killed the thread. Or rather did kill the thread. A special someone was butt hurt.

Therefore you need to install touch recovery to use the aroma installer. Very nice from with options to kernels .

Just downloaded over AOKP's latest build. Since I have no where else to posttttt...
just wanted to let you know that Auto rotate is glitchy, and ROM Controls button FC's everytime. The Aroma Installer experience was awsome lol
Use root explorer and replace the romcontrol.apk with the one from aokp m6

I posted my install issue on team passions forum.
Hopefully they'll fix the rom control issue soon. I keep getting random reboots with rc1.

So, I was digging around today and I kept ending back to a thread in the SKYROCKET side of the Galaxy S II forum. Are ALL kernels compatible or does the dev have to compile for both devices? (I did use google) (I did search forum)

Are the skyrocket kernels interchangeablewith 989 ROMs? Yes. As long as the kernel is made for the ROM. Like AOKP, CM9 and the like. Also the rotation .zip would be in order if using a skyrocketkernel

Awesome, much appreciated kind sir.

Have to flash the fix for auto rotation and if u want a beautiful Ui and use 7-4 paranodroid and skyrocket kernel over flash fix

Ahh, so it would be ok to use Instigator's kernel, but I would need to flash rotation fix, correct?

Do some research tw and cm stuff are a little different on this phone. We do have some one clicks to get you started. Go look in development or search qbking77 on YouTube for some videos.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
The safest seems to be direct cwm. But I've used several Agat recoveries and love the tweaks especially battery life. But keep in mind Agats recoveries are for TW Roms. For AOSP and AOKP I use direct cwm.

Look up qbking77 on YouTube he has plenty of videos to walk you through the process on the e4gt

The link at the bottom of this post has great starter information. Start by reading the op. Then read the threads of the developers to know what kernel does what..
The reason I'm am linking it is that you can get to each developers thread or site and this is a very comprehensive list.
Do not go flashing without reading!
My advice to you is to read ALL the stickies in each sub forum for this phone.

Since recoveries are baked into the kernel it really depends on what kernel you use.
TW ROMs are easily solved by flashing Agat's kernel/recovery repack.
You'll be able to flash to a CM rom but I honestly don't know enough about other kernel/recovery options out there for non-TW ROMS to make a recommendation for you on once you get to CM9/10.
Hope that clears it up a little.
Removed my post. Didn't see Garwynn's response.
:edit: I do have to say, that once you flash a CM build, find out what recovery you are on, then do some research on that recovery before flashing from it. Saw a few post about recent recoveries in CM builds that aren't safe or have possible issues.
