I just flashed my stock EPIC with the ACS ICS ROM and i'm loving it!
Has anyone been able to use TW4 on the EI22 ACS ICS v5.1 ROM? I want to use the GPU acelleration tha comes with TW4. I haven't tried it yet but just want to make sure before I load it.
I've been using TW4.5 from tbe i9000 forum. It works good aside from a few bugs. Landscape mode doesn't work, and you alphabetically sorting of apps doesn't work. Other then that flash away.
Edit: when I say landscape doesn't work, it is just when you are sitting at the homescreen.

Any chance of the ASOP Lock Screen (possibly the black one from the viper rom) for my stock froyo??
also the black keypad with the white #s from his rom aswell.
any chance of a flashable zip for these?
would it be possible to apply these to the stock froyo or do i need a rom??
how about just an all black deoxed dialer??
As I understand it, the builds are different so the framework is different, so the mods for those builds are specific to those builds alone. You can always try, but I would imagine there would be issues. Also, themes only work on rooed and deodexed framewrks so if you are "completely" stock then they won't function.

I'm on my phone right now so posting links ain't gonna happen and I apologize. Look in the development section for roms or do a search. There's the Syndicate rom from ACS, Epic Experience from shyzopunk(look for is di18 version), Androdena from n00ble. Those are the only ones I can think off of the to of my head there's also a stock but deodexed rom from n00ble and a deodexed template from dreamsforgotten in the theme section. The Syndicate rom has the aosp lock screen built in but once you pick a rom do a search for dk18 lock screen our check out my theme thread. The emotionless beast for eclair as I have it as a addon in the op

Yes you can flash n00bles stock de odexed rom and flash the aosp lock screen. If your worried about loosing data I've herd you don't need to wipe to flash his rom over stock but you can look for dreamsforgetton template. His template deodexes your system with out wiping anything. But before you flash any thing please do your self a favor and make a back up with cwm

This will leave your phone as is and deodex (merges your .ODEX files into the apks in both system/ and framework/ so you can any theme) your current rom.

Both ultimate droid and xboarder are based of CM7. Both have differnt approaches. Xboader is trying to make his rom as close to stock as possible by removing CM stuff. And the UD rom adds loads of functionality, in UD the cm setting has been replaced with UD settings and it gives you the option to change boot anims, fonts and loads of other cool stuff. Both are really nice and fast I have tried both but I still allways come back to latest CM7 nightly.
Best bet is to try them all for your self and see which one you prefer. Just do a nandroid of your current rom, get both downloaded and give them a whirl.

So i used QBKing77's guide to get gingerbread 2.3.4 onto my phone, rooted + clockworkmod too. Now i found out about ACS Updater and wanted to know how exactly to install a theme with it.
In the attachment below, it shows all my info bout the phone and mentions EH17
and for the themes most of them say EC05... and idk if it will work on my phone,
i have no idea what im talking about so i thought id come here to ask.
You have to use an EH17 theme...no EC05 themes. There may not be many...let me check....

There are two themes for EH17. HoneyComb Fusion Explosion, and Maddoggins lockmod itself has a theme(not sure what to call it)

Does anyone do themes for stock ICS? i notice all themes are for any other rom. Soon, one i get some bravery i will flash a rom, but in the meantime, i was wondering if i can change the theme. Like the way the notification bar looks, different battery and stuff. Or is this wishful thinking?

Backup ur rom and flash one of the themes for Darkside or Infamous... If it doesnt boot after Darkside.Cache with permission fix, then advanced restore /system

this isnt going to work for stock rooted.
OP: For a theme you will need a deodexed ROM. Even if its a stock deodexed, but you need deodexed.

I will read more into deodexed rom and get myself familiar with it before doing anything.
does Rom Toolbox theme work for stock? i noticed that app on the market and all that it does, including Icon changing, themes and other stuff. Would this work with Stock ICS or do i still have to have a custom rom?

Yea i am rooted. What should i back up? i have already one a nanbackup on the 16 of this month. If it screws up, i can retore with such backup correct?
Well nevermind, with official ICS this app wont. I was close to buy it, but no need to. The framework on original ICS is odexed, so i need a deodexed rom to mod any of the framework.
Hello, I am looking for a good Rom to flash to my Epic 4G before I give it to a friend of mine. She isn't a geek like me, and doesn't want JB or ICS or anything fancy, she just wants a mostly-stock Epic 4G. I talked it over, and we decided upon a stock rom with bloatware removed (so it would run faster and not have Facebook, Allshare, etc preinstalled).
Do you guys have any suggestions for a basic stock, touchwiz, non-themed rom with bloatware removed?

The People's ROM is only lightly themed with bloat removed into a separate file. CleanGB has a more stock theme but you have to edit the build.prop to keep from gettingthe update notifications.

Clean GB is what I used to use until TPR and flashed a ICS theme.
SleeperROM is also stock looking with swipe-able notifications.

Please provide the links to those two ROMS (TPR ans SleeperROM) - I'm looking for the same thing pre-rooted FC09 ROM with no Bloatware. Still a newb though.
