Hello,
I just go tthe HM7000 headset. I was curious if there was a generic battery meter apps for Android headsets? I figure if this was a Samsung phone and a Samsung headset it would have one but I don't see anything available.
Thanks

Not sure if this exist or if it is even possible- Is there something out there or a way to add a battery meter for bluetooth headsets on windows mobile devices?
i am not sure at all..
but i believe you could NOT do this.
i only say this because the bluetooth unit would have to send out that data in order for the phone to read it.
I guess the manufacture of the headsets would have to make this. See the reason I posted this was because my brother in law has an Iphone and when the headset connect to his iPhone it shows the battery meter for the headset. Got a little ticked off seeing how windows mobile phone get the shaft when it comes to little things like that. Oh well
For that all you need to know the bluetooth protocol and the data on that. I think there is no thread here, yet.
My Motorola simply tells me. Get a better headset.

I have a Jawbone Icon 'Hero' Headset, and it does tell me about how many hours it has until it needs to be recharged. In other words, I do have a good headset I was just wondering if it was possible to see the reading on the phone. That was all.

I agree -Jawbone "icon" headsets report this info, and there is currently a blackberry app to report current remaining bluetooth charge...
the plantronics pro plus headset has an app for the iphone.... i wonder if the headset transmits the battery level and if we can get an app to display this
Jabra stone 2 has an app for iphone. I can't find any app for windows mobile.
Hi,
I have a Samsung I9000 and have lost the headphones. (My Labrador dog found them very tasty!)
I tried purchasing some more generic ones as the Samsung web site does not have any.
The new headphones have a single button on them. When you press the button, the headphone volume is OK. When you release the button the volume goes very low and not clear at all.
Does anyone know where in the UK I could get some replacement headphones that actually work?
I need the headphones to work and also the FM radio to work.

this is original samsung accessoire, but they are better than stock
may be reffered as "Galaxy Tab P1000 Headphones", but they are suitable for i9000
1. Accesories thread.
2. Why replacement? on eBay you'll find original...
eBay is your best bet.
any nokia headset would do too... it has something to do with the way the contacts are arranged in the plug.. the thing you are describing about the volume when you press the button is because of that, if you use the samsung headset on a blackberry or an iphone the same should happen... let's say there are two kinds of headsets, motorola, blackberry, iphone goes one way and nokia, samsung go the other with the sgs1, do not buy the headsets from sgs2 or galaxy tab10.1, because they are the same kind of the moto/blackberry/iphone.
and i think i read somewhere that there is a connector that allow the use of the other kind.
hope this helps.
(anyone feel free to correct me)
Thanks francescopp, you are correct, to get earphones for SGS you must buy Nokia/SGS spec. It is the connections to the four pin plug that differ in the two systems, and the only adapter that I've seen was made as a four connection plug with a four connection socket on the back, obviously with pin reversal wired in. The only problem was the length that the plug/socket plus the earphone plug stuck out of the top of the phone, making it prone to damage.
You may want to wait for this pair of headphones: a-Jays One+
These headphones will definitely work with SGS and are far much better than stock ones. Reviews of a-Jays One, Two and Three are generally very positive.
They are coming out this month I think.
Hi I have one original still in un packed. If you want I can sell you. Drop me a reply with your contacts in pm.

Well, I found some P1000 Headphones, that even have Samsung written on them.
They do not work with the I9000.
They have "EHS24ATSBE" written on them.
I will search for another set...
Hi all,
I have seen some threads in the accessory subforum but they mainly talk about headphones with audio controls. I was looking for something different.
When I had Galaxy S, I used to use this guy here which used to give me call-accept/cancel+track stop/play/fwd function. The other end of it used to go to my CAR aux-in. It also had a mic so helps me talk as well. All in all a great piece. Unfortunately it doesnt seem to work for S3.

Anybody has any suggestions ?
Thanks a lot.
Here are some, but they are bluetooth, so not required to plug into your phone.

Or you can get these bluetooth headsets and simply unplug the headphones and plug it into your car's Aux-In. However, they run on batteries, so need to charge them.

While I haven't tried it with my S2 per se, i have used the BH 505 with a variety of different devices including Nokia 5530, iPhone 4, and even a Samsung Galaxy Ace, and it worked fine, with all music and call controls working (barring to the fact that talking to it was very awkward, as the mic way up. However, i would NEVER recommend the BH 505 for running. Firstly, you can feel the heft of the headset as it flops up and down with every step you take, and it's a lot of pressure on your ears. Secondly, despite what Nokia advertises, it is not very sweat resistant. On coming in contact with sweat, the controls would stop working for a day or two. Finally, it's not even built very well, and it broke off in two different places.
Do the genuine LG Google Nexus 4 stereo headphones HSS-F400 work on the Nexus 5?
These are still available online in a few places online and I like the fact they have the Nexus branding on them. Can anyone confirm whether their sound quality is any good?
Thanks
Any headphones work, I mean they all work. As for sound quality, not sure. I still have the pair from my Gnex and they still work.

There no reason any headphones wouldn't work across any device or manufacturer.

Thanks for replying. Well you say that any headphones should work on any device but the headphones that came with my old Samsung Galaxy S and before that the pair from my Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 certainly do not work properly on my Galaxy S3 or my Nexus 5. It's like those headphones were based on a different standard - same jack, different output. That's why I asked.

All 3.5mm sound peripherals are standardized but there could be some alternate function that interferes with the phone's operation if it has inline controls. If it has a mic that should be pretty standard as well.
Most 2.5mm and 3.5mm mobile audio now used TRRS where ring 3 is used for ground and sleeve is mic - standards (CTIA/AHJ) that are good for Apple, HTC, Sony & most Android devices. Some might be wired with ring 3 for mic and sleeve is for ground instead. If you come across it, you can get an inexpensive adapter on eBay to reverse/conver it.
The left & right audio channel are the same, however - so for listening purposes, they all should work ... :fingers-crossed:
I have not received any headset with the N5...but I would like to buy one motorola bluetooth headsets for my N5 as I just used of one of my friend and I really like them...so wondering to go for them....
N5 does not come with nor ship with any headset.
Standard & popular bluetooth headset are fine, I've both Motorola & Jabra BT headset setup for use with it, recognized it & did not even ask for a PIN - but I did change the device name to something more unique so that other BT headsets nearby won't connect to it by "accident" although I usually turn it off unless I'm on the move.
