Can anybody suggest a good bluetooth headset for MT4G?
How is SE MW600? I would like to know if anyone could see the song title in the set and whether all the volume up, down, next etc are working fine.

you could always google search "SE MW600 review" and see what people say. And if you want end users try punching in "amazon SE MW600 review" and see what they are saying.
Personally i use an older Motorola ear bud that serves the purpose.

I Work At best buy and I'm using the Plantronics 975 its a great device very comfortable with great noise cancellation
plantronics 855 is a great headset. a2dp stereo bluetooth and a removable earpiece.
I've been using mine with a Jawbone Icon (Rogue) and I haven't had any issues. It's light, stylish and very functional.
I don't know if these are the "best" but I have the Motorola behind the neck ROKRs, and like them.

imho
Plantronics Voyager Pro +
Willing to bet you one dollar paypal that it's the best bluetooth you've ever owned.
Reasons:
Gel air filled custom ear fittings *these actually screw on too , very impressive
long mic boom (so people can actually hear you)
not one person to date has said I sound like sh*t (FINALLY)
a2dp support
status updates by pressing power button (announces battery time remaining)
press and hold outer button, it calls a toll free number that you can configure on a website to hookup with your e-mail, it reads rss feeds, news.
I also work for t-mobile and I've used bluetooth headsets ranging from 29.99 to 199.99, some of them I thought were amazing (motorola backbeats) but the problem always came down to whoever I was talking on the phone saying
"dude are you on bluetoooth?"
me: yes
"you sound like sh*t"
me: YARGGGGG HOW MUCH MONEY DO I HAVE TO SPEND TO SOUND DECENT
Many beg to differ, but I've owned the same pair of rocketfish headsets for almost two years now...very good to me with many sweaty head days at the gym.

I know this is a late reply but I thought I would throw in my 2 cents on the topic.
I was looking for something to listen to music while at work (desk job), working out, etc.
I ended up buying the Motorola S305 from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002BH3I9U)
I have had these now since February and I am extremely happy with them.
PROS
Comfortable to wear
Decent sound quality
Easy to use controls
Phone headset is has good call quality. Others can hear me as if i'm on the handset
Micro USB charger, same as phone
low cost
CONS
Foam earpieces soak up sweat
no noise cancellation
Overall, for $35.00, you can't go wrong!
Plantronics seems to be the winner. I have both 925 and 975. Both are optimal and work fantastically.
Now my 925 is paired with my HD2, and the 975 with MT4G.
Are any of these recommended for both phone calls and for working out (sweat resistant)? I'm just mainly looking for headphones for working out minus the dang cord. Also if I get a phone call when I'm working out or shooting basketball, I wanna be able to answer without stopping.

bump... anyone have an opinion? Just waitin to buy one for some input from people who I actually trust lol
I've owned the Plantronics BackBeat 906 for almost a year and have had mixed results with both a G1 and a MT4G.
It can be so comfortable that I forget I'm wearing it. But sometimes the earbuds are loose, mostly when worn under bicycle helmet straps. Because it's loose, I can't hear music very well.
Audio sounds great. Convenient controls. Haven't figured out how to skip a song on Pandora or a podcast on Listen though. Clicking play sometimes starts a saved voicemail rather than Google Listen or Pandora. I'm not sure how to define the "default" media app in Android.
Paring is hit-or-miss. Often it pairs with just the phone audio and not the media audio. This happened more on the T-Mobile ROM than it does on Cyanogenmod 7, but still happens. The solution is a cumbersome opening of the BT settings, long-press the device, un-check and then re-check Media Audio.
Reception is good if the phone is within 20-30 feet (the advertised range.) Reception is horrible if the phone is in a pocket. I have a backpack with a very high pocket and that usually works, unless I turn my head to the left. It is VERY annoying.
Here's what I sent to Panasonic:
I own a G1 Android-powered phone and about 50% of the time when I turn on my BackBeat 906 it syncs with the phone audio, but not the media. Is there some trick to get it to sync with both?
Also, the reception is so poor that when the phone is in my pocket the audio drops out completely. I am tall, but much less than 30' tall.

Their response:
Please try a reset...press and hold the power button on the headphones....and while you are doing that, please connect the charger to the Backbeats until you see a blue or red solid light and then release the button.....let it charge for an extra 30 seconds and then try to use them
Also, delete the headset from your cell phone's list of paired devices. Once deleted, make sure to power your phone completely off. Then power it back on. (This will reset the Bluetooth stack in the BT software on the phone). Then re-pair the headset with your phone.
If this does not fix your issue, my suggestion is to try pairing the headset to another cell phone, if possible. If the issue continues with the second phone, you will need to replace the headset. If your headset connects properly to the second phone, then the problem may be with the first phone rather than the headset.

...did not help. I still struggle with piss-poor reception when the phone is in a pocket.
well what frickin good is a bluetooth headphone set if you can't have the phone in your pocket lol
Yes Rosebud1, it is extremely frustrating! It's fine sitting on a desk, but for cycling, running, or walking I would not recommend this headset.
Thanks for the reply. What horrible customer service too!!
Yeah, it was a pretty useless response. I suspect it's just a horrid design flaw that they know they can't fix, so sending the customer on a wild goose-chase delays the inevitable.
U should check out the jabra clipper. I use it when I work out n its awesome

so basically... it seems like no one has found a really good set for a decent price
Under a motorcycle helmet
I am looking for a bluetooth headset that will fix and work well under my motorcycle helmet. Any recommendations?
Hi all
I am looking to buy a good bluetooth headset (not headphones).
Criteria
1. Volume and clarity
2. Battery
3. Reliability.
Suggestions pls.
Try sony ericsson mw 600 i really love it
sent from my lovely note....
The best headset I know (and use daily) is the Plantronics Voyager PRO HD:
+ clear receiving
+ very clear voice talking, especially impressive in windy conditions (use mine in a convertable and often people don't hear whether I have the hood down or not)
+ good battery
+ comfortable fit (I can use it while wearing glasses without problems for hours)
+ reliable connection
+ nice extras like automatically answering call when you put it on your ear and app for android
- not the most stylish
In current reviews most of the time either this one or the Jawbone Era is the winner.
I love my Jawbone Icon. 3h talktime, over a week of standby, <1h full charge, good noise suppression. The only issue I've found is sometimes when I walk out of bluetooth range in need to switch it off and on (or BT in my phone).
LG Tone HBS-700
Hi, i'm new here!
The Bluetooth that I bought is the LG Tone HBS-700, the best buy ever for me.
Very Good Sound for music player
Confortable and light
The battery really good, i use two days without problem. 10 (ten) hours of talking or music player
Always my phone is in silence, but the product have a vibrator
In my work five friends have it because they asked to me, and they are very satisfied.

Plantronics M50
Connect 2 devices simultaneously
Very comfortable
Small and discrete
Long Battery
Noise reduction (wind, background noise, etc...)
Listen to music
best bt headset i ever had
samsung hs3000 you can charge and use it at same time ,i think its the only one
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/BHS3000NBACSTA
Thank you all..
Forgot to mention that I drive around a lot, hence good noise+wind suppression is important.
I also wear prescription glasses - so it has to be something easy to wear yet something that anchors well. Needless to say fatigue free.
Can I get all this in an unobtrusive package (am in Sales)... or is it wishful thinking!

I really like my bose, its 150 a bit expensive but its the best one i tried, I tried about five before sticking with this one.
thanks
Hi
+ 1 for the sony MW600. Sound is really good I think. I regret the problem of song title and caller name not displaying. But it is OK specially for its affordable price

I have a Nico that I'm fond of. Was fairly inexpensive, works well, has good battery life, and it's a nifty disk shape against the ear and and quite comfortable.

I use BlueAnt Q2 - connect to 2 simultaneous devices, reads out names of callers - no issues - gr8 battery life.
+1 for SE MW600 has served me well for many years, battery life and audio quality outstanding, you get fm radio that the note already has.
looking for a little input from people who have (or have tested) any stereo bluetooth headset on the s3.
Background: I had a LG tone+ which i actually loved and it worked perfectly on my One S. Then i decided to get the s3 and this thing cannot stay connected for ANYTHING. i have tried kernels, roms, hacks, pretty much everything. It would stay connected for a little while, but always would lose connection and not reconnect even after i delete and re-add the headset.
Here are my list of thing i would like to have in the headset:
Decent sound (amazing sound would be prefered but i am realistic here )
sweat-proof (at least to some extent)
connects to the s3 consistently
Would prefer $100 or less but would pay more if its THE headset (not sure THE one exists yet though)
BTW, i could care less what call quality is. I may take an occasional cal when working out, but not often enough to care what my voice sounds like to the caller.
If anyone has any thought or experience, i have been eyeing the following ones, but always open to other suggestions:
Jaybird freedom
motorola SF600
plantronics 903+
Thanks for any help!

How about the LG Tone? From reviews, the sound quality isn't quite as good as with the Tone+, but the range is vastly better and it cuts out far less frequently (if at all).
In fact, I've been using the LG Tone headset for 4+ months now. Mostly I use it at the gym while lifting, but have also used it for running, cycling, and making phone calls around the house (phone is 20+ feet away when I'm talking on the phone). Sometimes I make phone calls while at the gym too (but phone is in my pocket).
I don't think there has been a single time where they have cut out. The sound isn't what I would call "stellar", but it's not majorly worse than the headphone port on the S3. And my comparison point is a wired Sennheiser earbud set.

I second this. I had my LG Tone for over a year before I broke it. I listened to it for at least 10 hours a day while at work. Never disconnected and battery life was great.

Huh.. i know this is a dumb question, but you are using this on your s3 right?? lol the strage thing about the tone+ is it works on my wifes one s almost flawlessly.
How is the sound quality? Sufficient? Not severely lacking in any area? The tone+ had really great sound was actually pretty impressed.
Thanks!! :good:

If you read through the reviews on Amazon, there is at least one review between the Tone and Tone+. One guy said that although the Tone+ sounded a little better, the Tone+ eventually got shelved in favor of the Tone because of the poor connectivity of his Tone+.
The Tone sounds good enough to me, though the bass is be a bit lacking. When I'm working out I could care less if the audio is superb.
If you consider yourself an audiophile you shouldn't even consider BT headphones (IMO).
You might consider using a standalone bluetooth receiver (like this or this) and a pair of regular earphones/headphones.
I personally have the Antec one and use it with my Sennheiser CX270 earphones, which works well at the gym.
I have the Motorola S-11HD
Awesome sound, 80 bucks APT-X Codec, 5 minutes to charge, will connect every time and has a range of over 50 feet.
I have the Jaybird and I'd say it's a good choice. Never had any problems connecting to my S3 though some reviews claim the blue tooth is "weak" because of the small antenna size. I wear it on my right arm (for running) or in my pocket. It's worked fine for 4 months of running 3 times a week so far. It has a lifetime warranty for sweat so I'm not too worried about that. The on/off button is less than ideal to push because of it's stiffness and the geometry of the ear bud but I don't use it for calls so that isn't very important to me It has a lot of options for getting the correct fit which is nice. I'm guessing I get about 5-6 hours of play time from each charge (I charge weekly so I rarely run into this).
Overall I'd say the Jaybird is a good option.
I have found several custom roms I really like, but, I am a truck owner operator and have to use a headset. Every rom I've used has had the same bluetooth issue. Some times when answering a call they can't hear me for up to 10 seconds. Or while in a conversation they say all of a sudden I sound whacked out. Turning bluetooth headset in phone app off and back on resolves the issue temporarily. Any ideas, I dont want to have to be stuck on stock rom. I really appreciate the time that developers put into there custom roms.
It might be your bluetooth headset. I always wear my headset and have zero issues, (plantronics marque 2, which I love) even on aosp roms. Im currently on digiblurs rom, but have been bouncing around. slimkat and gummy I can confirm works with a headset. Hope it helps.

My headset is a Plantronics Legend altho had same issue with Voyager. The issue has followed me from my Evo 3D. I have tried Slimkat and same issue. Tried clearing cashe in bluetooth sharing. Hoping the right person will have the magic something....
If you had the same issue on another phone, then its most likely your headset. Go buy a plantronics marque 2 headset. See if your problem is gone, if not, get your money back for the headset. This is the headset I have, and its much better than my jawbone era (version 1)

Hi, does the marque 2 do voice commands and speak caller id (persons name) in your ear? AND have great sound quality?
I have the jawbone extreme2. it does all that, but sound quality sucks.
Thx!
The jawbone extreme 2 had awesome features, but I agree the sound quality was terrible. The Marque 2 has EXCELLENT sound quality in my opinion. Ive have tried a ton of BT headsets, and this one competes with the best of them, a big improvement over the marque 1. You can use voice search, I use an app called bluetooth launch, which allows any app to open with a long press of the button, works great with google now. Caller ID does not work for me, but the sound quality, excellent battery life, fast charging, reliability, say "ANSWER OR IGNORE" when a call comes in, comfort, and price point makes that a small sacrifice to me. Give it a shot, if you dont like it you can always get your money back.amazon currently has it on sale for 37.09, which best buy will price match, avoiding shipping time. Yes, its"shipped and sold by Amazon"

I GOTTA have speak caller ID.
Although I did forget that BB does price match! Thc for that tip!
Thx!
I have a pair of Parrot Zik but I love and have used almost daily for a couple of years now. But with my Z5 Premium they have become much less useable. When I use them for phone calls, the person I'm talking too can only hear half words. I hear them perfectly but it seems like there is some sort of a bluetooth error that causes them to only hear half of what I'm saying. Other than that the recieving sound also drops out if I hold the phone or move it fast. My old Samsung Note II 4G never did that. Seems like the bluetooth chip in this phone is utter crap. Or is there a way to sort this out?
TIA.
