I have being with this problem like by 2 days. I have not updated anything on my phone. I have CM7, I use handcent for the messages but also tried using the original messaging application. I keep getting the same error "Message not sent". I have restarted the phone a lot of times, and I don't know what to do.
I use a HTC Desire CDMA and my career is Open Mobile from Puerto Rico.
¡Thanks!
Check "service center" in text message settings for your carrier. Every carier has a specific service center number.

Where is that located?
Not using CM7. On my ROM messages--menu--settings--text messages--service center.

Hello everyone,
I got a problem with the SMS/Text Message time stamp on my HTC Desire HD.
The messages I sent out have the right time stamp. But all the messages I received have the wrong time stamp.
Such as, I got the message at 2:20pm but it shows 10:20am.
I'm using "Android Revolution HD™ 6.1.0 | High Quality & Performance | Official Sense 3.0" ROM with "Radio_12.62.60.27_26.13.04.19_M". I'm in Canada on the "Rogers Wireless" network.
Does anyone having the same issue as I do? How to fix this problem?
Thank you so much for all your help and time.
I think it is related with your gsm operator. You should contact their customer services.

Try using the app SMS time fix. I have had the time stamps being offset by 5-7 mins, and ive fixed it using this app!!
However as you are having such a huge time difference it would also be a good idea to let your mobile carrier know about this issue. Could be network related too.

Hi,
Ever since I started using one x I have been receiving popup like sms messages. My previous phone was not a smart phone and I was not.receiving these. Please refer this image http://db.tt/l3PuMAd3
Is there a way I can disable them from phone itself?

Click to collapse
Are you using the stock HTC messaging app? If not, that could be the source. Also, have you installed any apps that have ads? That could also cause your popups.

I am using stock messaging app. I have a bunch of apps installed, but how can I know which one is the culprit.

It's not something to do with your carrier is it? For example, with Vodafone you can get stuff text daily from them. In the app draw there's a Vodafone one that I can select news, weather, jokes, horoscopes etc.
Thats an alert message. I stumbled across how to make that happen on any phone a while ago.
When you send a text message put !! As the first two characters. It then by passes all app settings and pops up.
Never posted as it would be abused.......

Hi does any one else get a problem with the stock message app it sometimes shows the contacts number instead of there name upon receiving a message but if u click there picture and then send message it flicks from there number to there name which fixes it until u next open or receive a new message then it flicks back to the number
It's driving me nuts because half the time I don't know who there from unless I click there picture and click view or send message
Does anyone have a fix I'm willing to donate some money

Try to backup your sms/mms messages with MyBackup Root from Google Play, delete all messages from the messaging app, restore the backup and immediately reboot your phone.
Something like that already happened to me and I fixed it this way. Good luck!

What I write below applies to the EQDKP Sense 3.5 Rom.
Are you using a startup app manager? If you do make sure you don't disable "Messages" app on startup.
If you do you won't get names on your sms. Only numbers. Happened to me. I spend lots of time fine-tuning my phone so that it does not load unneeded stuff.

I don't use any startup manager
I've also noticed that it always shows numbers in the notification popup and in the pull down bar if there clicked but if I click messages it shows the names
Very strange anyways thx for ur imput

Make sure you have the contact's full international number in your contact list, ie. +44 for UK numbers
Got it thx man

That was usefull. Thank you.
weird i have the same problem and i dont think adding the international code before the contact number is a valid option cz this didnt happen in the stock rom so i believe there is a fix out there !
Is anyone getting this error? it just happns now when i text people. I can't send or recieve texts. It says you cannot use this service and to contact customer support with error 2131. Wtf is this?
I'm guessing you're using the cdma version of myone right? I was getting this so I flashed a rom I built myself and messaging works again.

I'm having a lot of trouble with sms app pop ups where I type the message in the pop up and then after that it says the message never sent or it just says sending and NEVER sends ... I'm on CDMA . Does anyone know any solution to this ?

I've had that a few times. It's always been my carrier
I get that when I have poor signal. Virgin Mobile just sucks sometimes.
