1. revert back to s-on guide

Well you're right, there seems to be none on the interwebs. Bad luck.
The best you can do is WWE
would this be the same as the normal one
EDIT
im sending it to htc for repair. would it matter if i had the generic ruu instead of the vodafone uk one?

Hello out there,
i wanna sell my DHD. So, just in case I can't bring it back to the seller (T-Mobile Germany, device was branded by T-Mobile, too), I want to rebrand it, maybe with a stock rom and unroot it + S-ON.
Is there any way to do this?
Thanks for your help
flash unbranded RUU, search development thread for appropriate file.
RUU_Ace_HTC_WWE_1.72.405.3_R2_Radio_12.28e.60.140f_26.04.02.17_M2_SF_release_163262_signed
And then
RUU_Ace_TMO_DE_1.39.111.1_Radio_12.28b.60.140e_26. 03.02.26_M
? So, S-OFF and root are perm gone after these steps?

Why unbranded when he wants to rebrand his phone?
@DonPanda
Here is a T-Mobile Germany RUU
You will also have to do Radio S-ON and brand CID.
I did it like this:
- Installed RUU (WWE 1.32 though as I didn't have a branded phone)
- Rooted with Visionary
- Did Radio S-ON and stock CID with jkoljo's tool
- Unrooted with Visionary and uninstalled it.
After this it was completely stock again.
I'm not sure if you can do Radio S-ON and stock CID first, and then install RUU because this way you wouldn't need to root it.
Hm, i used the TMO_DE_1.39, cause the flash step with WWE file failed.
How ever, seems to work now and flashing the T-Mobile version.
Thanks for now

Sorry hadn't understood that he had already debranded!, I was assuming that he wanted to de-brand it
Hi,
Quick question hoping you can help with.
I have S-OFF (Previously Rooted) and recently installed the latest Gingerbread 2.50 WWE RUU (with a Goldcard).
Does the S-OFF mean I can install a customer ROM without having Root?
Is it possible to change the CID? I have a Vodafone UK CID so don't get OTA. (OK, its a second question! Couldn't resist!).
And Finally (really this is the final one!), I can't find instructions to revert my phone to original state, i.e. re-branded to Vodafone UK with S-ON for warranty. Can you point me in the right direction, please?
Thanks in advance...
Kiz
With s-off and goldcard already in hand, you may downgrade it to stock 2.36.405.8 to gingerbreak or simply 1.32.405.6 and then flash any custom rom that comes across your mind. Your cid can be changed it the Oneclick Radio Tool.
To return to stock vodafone branded rom, just read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920876&highlight=vodafone+original+img
If I'm not mistaken, S-On can be applied just as normal DHD should. Please do make reference to the stickies in Android Dev section.

Hello,
i hope i'm in the right section now.
I need to send my T-Mobile branded DHD to htc for a warranty repair and i need to revert to stock.
I have a couple of questions about that:
1) If i just run a RUU i will still be S-OFF, so what do i have to do before i run the RUU? Something special to do because ENG S-OFF?
2) What about SuperCID? I think i needed to change it during S-OFF Process (i don't remember, sorry)
3) What RUU can i use? I already reverted my HTC Flyer and there i needed the exact RUU which it was delivered with (i think because of the HBOOT version of GB / HC). As i don't know what the delivery Software version was (buyed it when it just came out) i don't know which RUU i need.
Thanks for help!
http://www.handy-faq.de/forum/htc_d...nd_auslieferungszustand_wiederherstellen.html There is all you need (assuming that you are German).
I used the above posted manual and had no warranty problems!
Good Luck
Thanks, then i'll try it.
What is RUU?
I have a unlocked Inspire 4G(att, bought it rooted of ebay) but does the tutorital from that website work for me too?
I have T-Mobile branded HTC Desire with s-on with T-MOB101 cid code. Now i need RUU with same cid so i can flash it. Btw phone is stuck at boot screen. I looked everywhere with no success, could someone help me finding RUU I need?
Try the 2.3 RUU. It isn't branded, and you don't need a goldcard. It should work just fine.

First of all thanks for the quick response. I just realised today that all the RUU files i found before was posted in 2010(all froyo i guess) which forces me to match cid when flashing with s-on. Anyway I downloaded 2.3 RUU from the official HTC site which rebrands my Desire(didnt know that), and its all fine. Huge thanks to you bud.
Hello there,
I need some help returning to stock since I've gone too far with the desire and no idea how to go back.
I have an orange branded desire which is rooted and S-off'd and I'd like to unroot it. I'm not too concerned about taking it back to orange branding, just a generic RUU would do (if it's possible, because I'm not interested in goldcards). Right now I'm on Android 4.4 and the HBOOT version says "6.93.1002"
I'm fairly competent with fastboot commands if necessary and just need help with taking this phone back to stock. If you have any more questions let me know and I'll answer.
Thanks in advance
Use the 2.3.3 GB RUU
If you want to be full S-ON unrooted, you may need to flash the alpharev downgrader first before flashing the RUU

I'm not too fussed about S-ON unrooted, quite happy to keep it S-off without going through all of that. Is this the file HTC_Desire_Android_2.3_Upgrade.zip
because I couldn't find the one you named in the stickied thread. This came from the #resources section.

Yes thats the one. Just extract the zip file and the ruu is inside. The one in bortaks guide i think he named it 2.3.3, its definitly there anyway
