I stupidly ran ace hack kit a second time after installing Android Revolution.
It stopped working after trying to turn radio off. Now the phone wont load past the HTC screen. I can access the HBOOT menu. but recovery and factory reset both dont work.
Ive looked everywhere and cant find someone with the same issue (I dont think anyone else was stupid enough to run the kit twice)
Any ideas?
No help at all??
Get the recovery.img for 4EXT or Clockworkmod. The one for the latest 4EXT I have attached. You'll have to unzip it. When you have unzipped it check the MD5 of the recovery.img in there matches:
84b31bc1b1c254b2c46054c957e63701
Put it in your Android SDK Tools (Or Platform-Tools) folder.
Plug your phone into the computer while it is in the bootloader.
Open a CMD to that folder.
Type:
fastboot flash recovery recovery1.img
That will install a recovery environment. After that you will be able to install a ROM.
I keep getting getting an error saying that fastboot isnt recognized as a internal or external command, operable program or batch file
Im getting this error

You don't have an engineering hboot (eng s-off) Therefore you can't use fastboot commands.
Download a stock 1.32 pd98img.zip and put it on your sdcard and boot into hboot. Your phone will be completely sock after the installation.
I do what i want, because I can.

Will it be S-on again?
Also thank you! It worked, phone is up and running again.
Radio s-off should stick, eng hboot (which you don't had anyway) will be gone.

Help. Ace hack been running for 30 minutes and stuck on flashing radio

Is the custom recovery flash failing because the phone is s-on?
If so would it help to run alpharev on it?
Not sure, just a thought!
From what I understood you need to be able to boot to use alpharev or RUU?
I started the RUU .exe and stole the ROM.zip from TEMP but either the CID is not correct (I have VODAP102) or the version is older since CM7 is 2.3.3 I guess.

I guess so. Isn't S-OFF the thing you need to flash custom roms? I had it rooted and installed the recovery with clockwork or so from within OS without changing S-ON.
I got a UK VODA RUU to start at least (SD inside, sim not) but fails with ERROR[170] USB-Connoction Error
Afterwards it booted magically, I could backup data, flash LeeDroid to (what I thought) would solve the instability problem but it crashed again (connected cable is not good). And now its the same all over again but this time I cannot reproduce the luck from the first time.
Should I keep trying and then S-OFF, dwongrade bootloader and upgrade radio? What else could I do.
But I dont think the attepted flashing will work again...

Hmm, I think you're right actually, it's been a while since s-off for me!
S-OFF is indeed needed to flash the custom recovery via fastboot.
RUU - so probably you need a branded RUU for your phone (VODA-Germany VODAP102).
Or do the above mentioned method - take the ROM.zip and put it on your SD Card, but RENAME it to PB99IMG.zip.
Since you are branded, you need to create a goldcard, to avoid CID error:
Here's how
The phone needs to boot to create a GoldCard Luckily this happens from time to time.
But since 2.3.3 is newer than the newest 2.2 RUU the GoldCard CID fix wont work in my oppinion...
Even I am struck with the same issue. Only fastboot access with an Orange desire. I do not have a gold card to try out anything.
My phone's CID: ORANG001
Bootloader throws up the following error:
Loading...[PB99DIAG.zip]
No image!
Loading...[PB99DIAG.nbh]
No image or wrong image!
Loading...[PB99IMG.zip]
No image!
Loading...[PB99IMG.nbh]
No image or wrong image!
Any suggestions?
Could you flash a RUU from within Windows? I tried many, at least one of them tried to start and failed but the phone started at least. If a boot loop occurs remove the battery and retry as long as it takes. Worked for me.
Maybe without sim.
Some people reported being able to boot WITHOUT sd in the phone. Try it.
Hy guys
I have an HTC T mobile G2 and a few days back it started to froze when i used certain aplications. I had to remove the battery and it all came back to normal till one time when it got stuck on the HTC logo and wont go any further then that. I have tried to run PC10IMG from Hboot on it but its says that Main Version Is older! I have also tried to delete the hboot.n00 file from PC10IMG boot and reziped it but it didnt worked. I have tried to go into recovery and did a full date wipe on it but with no result. In other words I have tried all the options to recover it using my sd card and it didnt work.

I installed the drivers using HTC sync and PDAnet and all other methods I could find online but with no luck. I ve also used vista and windows 7 but since there no way i can access and enable usb debugging thats not an option for me.
Please if you have any ideas on how to get it to work I would appreciate it.
You could try either a factory reset, or flash a newer PC10IMG
The PC10IMG's are signed, and seeing as you are S-ON, your phone will run a signature check, so you cannot modify the the zip at all, or it will fail.
-Nipqer
I tried to do a factory reset from recovery menu with no luck...its says :
E: can't mount /data/recovery log after it wiped data and cache
I tried the latest PC10IMG i could find including the one you refered too but it still says: Main Version is Oder!
I hope i dont have to wait till a newer version comes out
You might have the bad emmc chip then, there's more info here
-Nipqer
Ok so i looked thru the posts but i cant check to see if I have the good or the bad emmc chip. Now somehow I ve got android sdk to work in fastboot only so if i use comand i get
c:androidsdk/tools/fastboot devices
SH0C4R201107 fastboot
so that means it can see my phone. Is there anyway I can use this and fix it?
I cant get adb devices to work tho......
do you have eng or ship hboot? cause fastboot only really works with eng hboot.
-Nipqer
I think I have ship boot....I mean i never rooted the phone or anything
so nothing I can do then?
oh yeah, should've realised that...
From what I can work out there's nothing you can do, is it still under warranty?
-Nipqer
Nope... I have tried to flash recovery.img but i get

Hi guys,
A good friend of mine recently requested me to help with rooting her Wildfire S A510e (purchased from SingTel, CID HTC__044). I managed to change her Wildfire S from S-ON to S-OFF via HTCdev. As far as I know, HTCdev isn't supposed to give you S-OFF but only to remove the NAND write locks on certain partitions.
Users: This is NOT for you. This is NOT a tutorial.I will not be responsible for any bricked WFS.
Here's what happened, pretty long so I'm gonna break it down into multiple sections. Important points in red.
Replacing SingTel ROM with HTC EU ROM
The phone was originally running Android 2.3.3, ROM version 1.35.707.1, HBOOT 0.90.0000. This ROM version is not supported by HTCdev unlock yet.
Reboot to HBOOT on WFS. Choose FASTBOOT.
Connect WFS to computer via USB.
Downloaded the HBOOT RUU for "hTC Asia India" from HTCdev. Attempted to install the RUU but got a CID error.
Disconnected WFS from computer.
Rebooted normally on WFS.
Connect WFS to computer via USB (Disk Drive).
Created a goldcard by using SimpleGoldCard while WFS is mounted as Disk Drive. (this wipes your SD card)
Disconnect WFS from computer and reboot.
Connect WFS to computer via USB (Disk Drive).
Downloaded RUU_Marvel_S_HTC_Europe_2.13.401.2
Ran the RUU. Went into %temp%, found the relevant directory and copied rom.zip to the goldcard as PG76IMG.zip.
Disconnect WFS from computer.
Turn off WFS and rebooted into HBOOT.
Went into HBOOT -> Fastboot. RUU_Marvel_S_HTC_Europe_2.13.401.2 was installed successfully (Android 2.3.5, ROM version 2.13.401.2, HBOOT 0.90.0000).
Installing HTCdev Unlock
Rebooted WFS into HBOOT.
Connect WFS to computer via USB.
Downloaded the HBOOT RUU from HTCdev for "HTC EU".
Ran the HBOOT RUU. RUU installation gets stuck at 50% ("Flushing radio...") for about 20 minutes.
Decided that the RUU has hung so disconnected WFS from USB and did a battery pull
RUU offered to do a recovery but I clicked "Exit".
Turn on WFS in HBOOT mode.
S-OFF obtained!
I was pretty much at "dafuq?" at this stage. I didn't even need to upload the device identifier to HTCdev to get an unlock key. The device was already S-OFF (HBOOT shows it)!
HBOOT remained at 0.90.0000.
I verified the S-OFF by flashing ClockWorkMod which went without issues.
Possible theory of operation: (just my thoughts)
The HTCdev HBOOT RUU provides a temporary S-OFF in order to unlock the NAND
When the RUU is done, it is supposed to restore S-ON to the device.
However, since the process was hung, the RUU had no chance of restoring the device to S-ON.
Hence the WFS was left at S-OFF.
If there are any adventurous devs around who are willing to try to dissect the RUU, please do so, but standard disclaimer applies. Attempting to interrupt the HBOOT RUU flashing is pretty dangerous and WILL possibly brick your device! I will not be held responsible if you brick your WFS!
This seems to be a case of pure luck.
Addendum:
The HBOOT RUU contains 2 ZIP files: rom_01.zip, rom_02.zip
They are presumably flashed in-order.
rom_01.zip contains Radio_special_MARVEL_MR_47.23b.35.3035_7.54.39.08M_Signed_20111208.img
rom_02.zip contains hboot_1.08.0099_6e20b6fac09.nb0 and radio_47.23a.35.3035H_7.53.39.03M_MR.img
My friend has radio version 47.23b.35.3035_7.54.39.08M. From here, we can tell that rom_01.zip was successfully flashed but rom_02.zip wasn't. Also notice the "special" file name of the first radio image.
Addendum 2:
It appears that both radio ROMs have the same size but different md5sum. Can someone with S-ON try to flash Radio_special_MARVEL_MR_47.23b.35.3035_7.54.39.08M_Signed_20111208.img? (Again, standard disclaimer applies)
i like the very last sentence that you used ...
good job anyway mate !
how do you go about flashing a radio??

If you look into the ZIP files, Radio_special_MARVEL_MR_47.23b.35.3035_7.54.39.08M_Signed_20111208.img and radio_47.23a.35.3035H_7.53.39.03M_MR.img are both the same size.
Reboot to HBOOT, choose FASTBOOT, connect WFS to computer. Use "fastboot flash radio Radio_special_MARVEL_MR_47.23b.35.3035_7.54.39.08M_Signed_20111208.img".
ok i tried to flash this radio i put the .img file on my sdcard went to fastboot then recovery, install from sdcard and there was nothing there so i put the rom1.zip folder on my sdcard went to fastboot, install from sdcard,rom1.zip and got this

did i do something wrong??
You must flash the radio with fastboot command. But this wont work, bc the hboot will check if the file is signed. And that isn't.
But try, maybe i'm not right.

and the file says its signed

My phone wouldn't update using the HTC method so I extracted the two ROMs from the RUU and flashed them seperately. After the first one (radio) I noticed that the phone was S-OFF but when I'd flashed the second it was S-ON again and I couldn't go back.
WOW, you have S-OFF after flashing radio via
fastboot flash radio radio.img
???
And now you can't go back?
I extracted the htcdev ruu and tried to flash the radio image. but it is not possible, signature check fails. so if the bootloader is already unlocked, it is not possible to obtain s-off this way
Have u test it with
fastboot oem lock
first and then to flash the radio.img?
Or to try to downfrade hnoot with the tutorial here in forum and then flash the new radio.
not yet. Will try that and report again
did relock phone using oem lock.
*** RELOCKED ***
Tried flashing 1st radio from htcdev ruu
flashing successful, but still S-ON
Hmm, and can u try to downgrade to Hboot 0.9 or Hboot 1.08?
I'm a noob so it's possible I made a mistake but I'm pretty sure I was S-OFF after the first flash. I was on Hboot 0.09.0000. Unfortunately I didn't realise the significance at the time so proceeded anyway.
I will try
I will try too, but earliest tomorrow, then i have my windows pc
this is what i get with or without bootloader locked

I can't post on the developers thread so thought best to post here.
I'm trying to use android flasher to flash the latest Desire radio (bravo.5.17.05.23) as recommended by the Sense ROM's I'd like to try.
I have installed Windows .net 4.0 on Windows Vista, have downloaded HTC Sync and then uninstalled it leaving only the drivers remaining. I also have USB debugging enabled.
I have booted into FASTBOOT having powered off (Power button, back button) and have connected the phone to the laptop to get FASTBOOTUSB to appear.
I unzip Android Flasher and the two .dll files to the desktop and then open Android Flasher. I select Desire and then browse for the radio .img on my desktop. I tick "I'm already in fastboot" and then press flash.
At this point the status bar reaches just over halfway. No script appears in the dialogue box and nothing further happens.
Can anyone advise if I have missed a step? Do I need to reboot the phone from inside the FASTBOOT USB menu?

You might want to try and flash the radio image directly via fastboot. Just download the fastboot binary, put it in a path you can remember, put the radio img file in the same directory, click Start > Run and type in cmd. Then, type in 'cd C:\path\to\the\fastboot\directory\', followed by 'fastboot.exe flash radio radio_image_name.img'. That's it!

Yep, you need to extract the .Img file from the zip and fastboot flash that. Not going to work trying to flash the zip file.

yes i believe you need to be s-off to flash radios
in your sig, you have desire s, so don't flash radios from this thread (for desire (Bravo))!
make sure you check the md5 sum of the radio.img before flashing, a bad radio flash = brick! the fastboot commands should still be the same however.

Your recoverys are not flashing as you have relocked your bootloader pal. Try flashing the stock recovery from hboot this should at least have a factory reset option. Failing this, you should try re-unlocking your bootloader and then flashing cwm.
If all of this fails then you will need to gain access to an xtc clip, make the phone s-off and then flash any ruu you want bump this thread if you need anymore help

What errors are you getting when trying to flash cwm via fastboot while the bootloader is unlocked. Be specific please
Also their is no other way to s-off bar the xtc clip. But, once you have s-off trouble shooting bootloader/ruu issues is far easier

Ok while unlocked, take your cwm recovery image and rename it to recovery.img if you have not already.
Then boot into fastboot and use the command
Fastboot boot recovery recovery.img
Hopefully it will boot into the recovery. This is only tempoary, do not reboot until you have wiped everything. Check and see if it boots after full wipes.
If this fails you will need a xtc clip...

Hopefully it will boot into the recovery. This is only tempoary, do not reboot until you have wiped everything. Check and see if it boots after full wipes.
If this fails you will need a xtc clip...

Edit: the more i look into this the more it doesn't look good to be honest pal, most people who get into this state send it back to the manufacturer and get the motherboards replaced....

Ok while unlocked, take your cwm recovery image and rename it to recovery.img if you have not already.

tried again all possibilities..
with fastboot boot recovery recovery.img it does download successfully and writes booting.. however after the phone has booted by itself the htc screen shows up (with white background) and directly goes into fastboot menu without other options...
Maybe i am uploading wrong recovery image??
if its loading into bootloader menu that means my phone is soft bricked right?? which can be undone??
my dilemma is that i live in a third world country with no htc service providers or good phone repair shops who would have an xtc clip..

The main issue is that it should still boot into the recovery via fastboot regardless of its working state from what i have read the main nand seems to have some sort of error that it cannot over write so its not letting you boot anything weither that is a fail safe or not i dont know. At this point a xtc clip would be your last hope, but i cannot guarrentee it would work... I have an xtc clip, but i dont want to post it outside of the uk ......

Were you overclocked ? Were you using some sort of memory script ?
I'd say your best option is to have it sent back, smells like a burnt motherboard.

Hi tahaice!.
I just recovered an HTC Wildfire S A510e for a friend with a problem similar to yours!
He entered on HBOOT and wiped & format some partitions: data/factory reset, system, data, sdcard, etc.....
I read quickly your problem and I think that this can help you:
1.- Download the correct RUU from: androidfiles.org/ruu/?developer=Marvel_MarvelC
For instance, I used RUU_Marvel_S_HTC_Europe_2.26.401.3_Radio_47.23e.35.3038H_7.57.39.10M_release_261695_signed for Spain (Device was with last update, my friend was sure).
You can check it on HBOOT:
MARVEL PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT 1.09.0099
MICROP-0451
RADIO-7.57.39.10M
Feb 8 2012, 18:29:31
Click to collapse
And when you finish restore: go to Settings/About phone/Software info/More. Base band version must match the file you used (you will not restore radio.img, if not needed).
2.- Run the RUU until the wizard comes up. While the RUU wizard is open, find the temporary folder it created. (Open Explorer in Windows and type %temp% in the navigation bar.) There will be folders with long names (C:\Users\lefe\AppData\Local\Temp\{9739F95A-99D7-43BA-8AB6-E4F02264D361}\{50F2F878-636A-496F-A7CB-544C067E0C4B} for instance).
Inside one of them you will find the file rom.zip from RUU. Open it with 7zip and extract recovery.img, boot.img and system.img. Put it in the location you preffer (C:\Users\lefe\HTC Wildfire S A510e\ADB in the example).
You also need adb.exe, AdbWinApi.dll and fastboot.exe. Copy from the folder you found the file rom.zip (or from Android SDK tools if you have installed it).
3.- Boot the phone into bootloader (power off, hold down volume and press power) and highlight FASTBOOT using the volume rocker and pressing power. Then connect the USB cable. You should see FASTBOOT USB.
As you say, this is not needed in your case because your phone goes directly. Just plug.
4.- Open a command prompt in Windows and navigate to the folder where you unpacked ADB / installed Android SDK tools. Flash the stock images extracted in step 2 above using the following commands (Remember to turn your firewall off):
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img
Click to collapse
Example (what I did):
Code:
C:\Users\lefe\HTC Wildfire S A510e\ADB>fastboot flash boot boot.img
sending 'boot' (2870 KB)...
OKAY [ 1.336s]
writing 'boot'...
OKAY [ 1.650s]
finished. total time: 2.994s
C:\Users\lefe\HTC Wildfire S A510e\ADB>fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
sending 'recovery' (3494 KB)...
OKAY [ 1.572s]
writing 'recovery'...
OKAY [ 1.970s]
finished. total time: 3.554s
C:\Users\lefe\HTC Wildfire S A510e\ADB>fastboot flash system system.img
sending 'system' (259862 KB)...
OKAY [ 31.535s]
writing 'system'...
OKAY [ 64.846s]
finished. total time: 96.393s
5.- Finally, in your phone go to HBOOT menu and make a FACTORY RESET.
If needed, PowerOff device (remove battery for 3 seconds) and Boot the phone into bootloader (hold down volume and press power).
That's all!!.
I hope you get lucky!

Ops!?!?..., Can you detail these errors?.
I'm also reading your message bellow about erasing Userdata...:$, detail also this scenario so we can think about your concret issues.
Keep fighting till you're sure there's nothing to do...
