Does anyone know of a pink theme that works on ei22 yet?
Or can anyone port one?
I've spent hours trying do it myself but it just ends up not working... at all..

Better start here it won't work right now I'm positive but porting from this should be easier than anything else since its an early gingerbread theme

The icons have to have the same exact name. I just finished making a theme for EI22 called cool blue . Check it out. If nothing else you can look at what I did and edit the same files. Let me know if you have questions.

Got it working, did a very basic job of inserting the files into a copy of ACS ICS 4 and flashing it.. now if I could figure out how to build a flashable zip of just the theme, I could let others use it.

Download a theme.
Delete the files in it, but leave the folders themselves alone(don't mess with META-Inf at all), and put your edited files in the zip.

My girlfriend is also interested in this, so if you ever get a working zip please let me know.
i tried using the ICD theme for my base and using the files from the pretty in pink bulid, but i too managed to make the status bar disappear. Do the APK's need to be resigned after changing the files in them?

Thanks! I am running salvage mod 1.1
ok. you might have to wait a bit for me to have a few minutes on my comp, but i'll get it done tonight. downloading salvagemod now.
ok, here it is. this isn't tested but it should work. tell me if it doesnt. should work with any recovery. the framework files and systemui were taken from stock salvagemod 1.1 btw. just tell me if there is anything else you need.
Works! Thanks!
So, I hate to ask for more, but could you also do the "darker" version of this?

Looks like the green better matches the GB green used in SalvageMod

Thanks for posting this, I never knew about this thing before. Now I'm going to be spending all my time making new themes...lol. I already made a couple for my phone.
BTW....it's not nearly as complicated as you may think. You just pull the framework-res.apk out of you current ROM and upload it to the site and pick what mods you want. Then it gives you back a flashable zip with your new theme.

yea i've been bugging the dudes on the irc to tell me how to do it manually, but i see nothing. if i decompile framework-res.apk and go to public xml like you do in froyo, it's not as easy as changing values and adding images. you really need to do some coding, and then there's this systemui thing. man...
next time i'm on the irc, i'll try and find out for sure how to do it.

srry it took so long. ok, i came through rain, fire, lightning, and a bunch of sharp rocks to post this. not really the kitchen was just really glitchy and i had no time. but here it is. darker version f for salvage mod. same as before. tell me if it doesnt work yada yada.
So Salvage Mod just upgraded to 1.2, will the ZIP you posted still work?
idk. try it and find out. if not, then i'll make a new one.

just reflash the rom. do you mind sending me framework-res.apk from /system/framework/ and systemUI.apk from /system/app/. it'd save me a download. thanks.

Let us know how it goes. I tried using that kitchen and it would make the apk fine, but when I'd install it and apply it in theme manager, I would get an error box saying it's missing assetts and button options to apply anyway or bummer. I applied anyway and it works, but that error bugs me.

I tried it, and it sorta works (for now).. I didn't upload anything, I just selected CM7.0.2 ROM, and then let it generate.. I didn't use all the options in the kitchen.. but the battery icon worked (sometimes goes back to the theme's (Honeybread) battery icon for some reason).. the new boot animation worked.. but the status bar icons didn't change, they stayed the same .. and I noticed the systemUI didn't install when I flashed the .zip.. I went to the kitchens thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=990829) and a few (i only read two pages so far) said that most worked except for the status bar icons for the Honeybread theme.. I gotta read more, but the creator(s) of the kitchen was looking in to it.
I didn't fully understand how u can make it into a theme.. can u give me some steps on how to do that? thx.
Basically what this kitchen does is replaces the original CM7's framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk, there is also a option in the upload tab to upload a theme that you want to change. I haven't really used the kitchen for CM7, as I'm a MIUI user (easier to theme). But when I used CM6 and Sense Roms, everything worked fine. My guess is that you should try uploading the files YOU have along with your theme apk where it asks you to, and not use preuploaded ones. Seeing how you're using a theme apk for your phone, and when you chose CM7 preuploaded, it doesn't include the theme you're using.

GO HERE and make the images you want...you have to upload the framework apk from srf...it will add the images you want. Now if you want to make it fool proof, open both frmaeworks in 7zip without exracting....carry the 1-100 and one more (cant remember the name) .png's into the srf framework folder and exit (prompts u to save, click yes) and then flash srf 1.2 and u will have a rom with new % mod...you can also add images (except .9.png) from other themes and make your own lol

You can use APK Manager, Google it .
There's a tut there too.
Otherwise, you can do it by replacing the files by hand on your PC, by browsing into the APK by hand (use WinRAR or 7zip).
