SGP has the screen protector for the xoom.
Steinheil Screen Protector
I'm assuming it's in stock if it's on the webpage.
IMO, this screen protector is way better than the Zagg one. I have one on my incredible and i love it. It's not rubbery and it feels just like the screen.
I've used their Screen Protectors and they are the BEST
Which one is the anti glare one's I have never owned a steingeil one.

Agreed! The best screen protectors there are. They simply disappear when they are on. Too bad i just ordered a Skinomi. Im going to order this SGP and return the skin.

If you'd just look around a bit more, you'd find that the Ultra Fine for additional $3 is the anti glare and is also matte.
Looks like it's the one I wanted. I was hoping for something like iFrogz anti glare screen protection I've been using on my iPhone which it totally rocks. Don't like the InvisibleShield, it's still glossy. =P
Thanks for the heads up, going to order one now.
I'm getting one of these. This is the closest thing to the Verizon branded version, which I loved on my Droid, but the XOOM version doesn't cover the entire screen.
I was planning on getting a Zagg using a coupon code from another member here, but decided to do some more research on that product, and have been on the fence about getting it. Now my decision has been made.
If anyone wants the Zagg code, let me know. I'll PM it to you. You have to use it before Friday, I believe.
I just ordered one. There is a coupon code to save 10% too: SGPVerizon

I was just about to post that one as well. Ordered an Ultra Fine one with the coupon. 28.94 total.
Thank guys! I just ordered the Ultra Fine as well. I like the idea of matte finish to reduce glare. Glare is ridiculous on the Xoom. My nook is much better about reducing glare. Anyway, thanks again! Hope the protector doesn't reduce vibrance of the colors nor clarity.
Man, I hate how much reflection the Xoom picks up. Unless, you're in a dark room, it's hard to see the screen sometimes. I love the idea of the Ultra Fine SGP. I don't think I've ever used SGP, but I know they have a good reputation.
If anybody could post a video, or screenshots of the Anti-glare when they get it, that would be great! I'm just holding off for now because I want to know if it reduces the screen quality much. But looking at YouTube reviews of this on the iPad, it greatly reduces glare.
Here's a good video review of *cough* other tablet's SGP Anti-Fingerprint...

Good thing I waited to get a protector, because this looks like it's just the ticket.
Ordered the Ultra Fine.
They are indeed high quality but there are visible scratches from swiping on the one installed on my Droid X just three months ago. Is this typical? Thus far I have no scratches whatsoever on the VZW protector on the Xoom.
And this is from someone who is fanatical about taking care of my electronics.

Yes, this is normal. I've had a Steinheil on my Incredible since May and there are multiple scratches but they're not unsightly. You have to take into account that you're not putting the Xoom in your pocket with various sharp/metal objects, so as long as your fingers and screen are relatively clean, you won't see those same scratches you do on your phone's protector.
I love Steinheil btw...

Thanks. That's why I asked -- I use a clean microfiber cloth to wipe regularly and it is kept in a case in my purse and never in a pocket. I was surprised at how easily it scratched from clean fingertips.
Oddly, I haven't seen a scratch yet on the VZW/Xoom and but expected to. Guess I am spoiled with Giottos AEGIS Pro LCD Screen Protectors for my DSLRs but they are made of German Schott glass.

Well mine's probably horrible compared to yours! I was also careful at first, making sure it was in pockets solely by itself, but after the first two or three scratches, I stopped caring. You got me thinking that I should put the backup that they sent on!
And on that note, only one comes for the Xoom, correct? I'm very obsessed about getting it perfectly laid without a speck underneath.

Yes, it is a single protector but I wouldn't be concerned - they are not fragile and easy to apply. Just be sure to find a very clean, nearly dust-free area and wash your hands well before application. I usually keep a lens blower handy as well as a couple of pieces of Scotch tape. I place the tape on opposite corners for easier control of placement.
received the ultra crystal screen protector & just finished putting it on. quite simple to apply. love the clarity. will do the same on my wife's xoom tonite.

Did you get the crystal or ultra fine? I ordered the ultra fine and hoping there isn't too much loss on viewing quality.
Hi Guys,
I used to review cases/skins/shields on the Nexus S forum, I recently picked up a GSII so I will be shifting my focus to this device now, and I've started off with a review of the SGP Ultra Optics screen shield which you can find below. I use the Ultra Optics on all my devices and love it, provides clarity, protection and anti-fingerprint properties!
looks really good....gonna check their website,,
I wish someone would do a side-by-side of this and the completely clear sp's (like oleophobic) as I have no way of knowing exactly how much the screen is affected by this sp.
And subbed.
Didnt you get any finger prints on the shield, saw you touching your finger a couple of times on the back side.
From what I've heard from user reports the ultra optics is bit blurry compared to the oleo.

No, no fingerprints on the shield haha - you really can't expect a 100% clarity level but it's the best you can get while still maintaining anti-fingerprint properties.
I do have some crystal clears on hand so I will do a video comparison after I get some more videos out.
Good video thank you
Thanks for the support, I enjoy making these vids to help people out
I also have this screen protector and love it because the texture allows you to slide your fingers really smoothly. It doesn't matter if your fingers are dry or sweaty which isn't the case without the screenprotector. And it hardly leaves fingerprints which makes your phone look a lot cleaner.

I use a ultra optics anti finger print screen protector which i ordered through the sgp company website.
The screen protector is really good, easy to fix, anti finger print as it says. Feels really good to slide ur fingers over it.
The only problem i have is that in due course of time it accumulates dirt and now when i see a white image my screen looks like clouds drawn on a white chart..
A little cleaning would remove it though.except for that this product is worth every penny..

Hi, very helpful thanks, i had my sg2 for few weeks now, i bought one of the cheap screen protectors , but seemed to scratch very easily, now effects viewing screen with rainbow where the scratches are, so now ordered the Samsung i9100 Screen Protectors Film SGP Ultra Crystal, after reading reviews of here, took me 3 goes to get it perfect on last, hope i can get it first time this time, you seem to be a pro putting it on thought, im gonna do it in bathroom must be less dust in there

Since you already have the phone why sign a contract? You should put it on straight talk $45 unlimited everything and it runs on AT&TS hspa+ network. here is the guide on how to http://www.howardforums.com/showthr...ything-you-need-to-know(so-please-stop-asking)
I found a friend who has the ultra optics installed, it blurrs the screen by a little bit and has a little more anti finger print properties than the ultra oleo.
Its a no go for me as my main use for my phone is multi-media. But someone who really hates prints but can sacrifice a little image quality then this is a very good choice over the super fine and premium matte.

Thanks for that link! Seems great except I'd have to buy the Nokia phone for 199$.
The reason I wanted to sign a contract was because I would be able to get another high-end phone for 199$, probably wouldn't get anything out already but might pick up the new iPhone or the AT&T Galaxy S 2 variant.

my previous post said i like phantomskinz. well the one for my tab arrived bent in the mail and didnt apply very good. i contacted phantomskinz and they would not replace it. they wanted pictures of it installed. so i sent them pictures and of course you cant tell that there is a huge streak (where the bend was) right thru the screen because of the glare.
They never replied back to me after i sent the pics. anyways, i went ahead and ordered a bodyguardz for my tab.
Do you mean a full body protector or just a screen protector? I have an SGP UltraOptics (which is the matte antiglare) and I absolutely love it.
The screen degradation because of the antiglare properties, while there, is *extremely* small and I feel that my video consumption hasn't diminished at all. However, reading in a coffeeshop, during the day, by the window and (gasp!) reading outside are both things I do frequently.
Lastly, there is little to no "grip" when sliding my finger across the screen. The smoothness and feel is impeccable.
So yeah, there's my endorsement.

What this guy said. I'd say the optical degredation isn't better or worse than other matte screen protectors - ok, maybe slightly better in bright light or very contrasty environments. I'm a big fan of having no resistance when I drag my finger across the screen.
I will say that there is an odd "zipping" noise as I drag my finger across the screen. Not a deal breaker, but definitely unique - I've had matte screen protectors before, but none that have ever done that.

it's gorilla glass. why do you want/need a piece of plastic over it?
I do use a back cover for smooth surfaces, but i the textured back tab 10.1 and the samsung case.
I don't use zagg because that shizz yellows.
I use phantomkinz for my other plastic surface devices. they have a little better optical clarity than zagg and they don't yellow.

I'm jumping on the SGP bandwagon. I got the crystal one for my S2 Epic 4G Touch and 8.9 Tab. Both were super easy to install, especially the Tab, almost effortless actually (seriously, no joke). They look fantastic and feel great. I tried the Zagg and hated it (felt rubbery).

Best screen protector if you want the most clear picture.
Best screen protector if you enjoy constantly wiping fingerprints off... but, it's well worth it. Zero orange peel effect!
Personally I recommend, but it's an acquired taste!

can you elaborate on the "enjoy wiping fingerprints off" ??
was that a typo, or does it really make the fingerprints worse?
still debating on which version to get.
I had the Zagg full body one on my iPod touch, and my old LG DARE, and both did a wonderful job of protecting.
They did yellow badly and it is not that smooth of a surface, but with those small of screens, it really didn't matter.
Now, with my thunderbolt, I have a SGP, and it has stood up to me since March, and only now is it showing its age. I have a spare in he box that I have been meaning to put on sometime.
For smoothness, steer clear of Zagg, that bumpiness will mess up your Angry Birds game.
To add to this thread ...
I had a MyShield screen protector (supposedly it's almost the same as Zagg) and it seemed to protect the screen well but I had a few problems with it:
1) The screen was a bit "sticky", it got better with use but still noticeable
2) Many and easily seen fingerprints
3) Fingerprints were hard to wipe off
4) If you put one of those "stand" cases - or really anything that holds the tab in a tight grip - the protector started to move/peel off at places
Now I have a SGP Ultra Crystal and the screen is MUCH smoother, while there still are fingerprints etc. they are much easier to wipe off and most importantly - no danger of messing up your screen protection when putting one of the cases on or off.
So I'd definitely recommend SGP for tablets.

I didn't manage to find any. But you can get a good deal on ebay, you get a genuine product and the shipping is almost free (I think it was 2$ for me).
All in all it cost me 24$ (around 18€) and it took about 2 weeks for it to get here. Seems like a good buy for me

I love the Zagg texture and feel. I have one on my iPod Tough and Thunderbolt, and just bought one for my Woot Galaxy 10.1.
Hard plastic clear protectors are OK but I don't like their lack of feedback and grease streaking.
I had Zagg on my SGSII. I removed in couple of days due to stickness. I hated the feel of Zagg. I have XtremeGuard on Tab 10.1 and I like it very much. If I'm the only one using it, I wouldn't put any screen protector. But I have a young daughter, I don't feel safe to leave it naked.
Hy guys, i'm going to buy a Galaxy Nexus and I wanna buy a screen protector before getting the phone.
I have a ZAGG one on my iPod Touch 4g, but I don't like it, so I decided to ask here.
I had the opportunity to try a Brando one on a friend's iPhone 4, and it's very nice, but I can't find a Galaxy Nexus' one... So which i should choose? I also can't understand yet differences between the one using wet application and the others...
PS: i already found some questions on various screen protectors, but didn't find a "which shouldi i choose" one in this section...

Do you know if the Brando is a dry install? If so, it probably won't cover all of the screen like he Oleophobic from SGP. I just bought the Flex and it will be here Wednesday so I can let you know how that feel/orange peel is.
The Zagg on my iPod is crap looking at the Brando on my friend's iPhone. Yeah, it has less bubbles, but his doesn't make the user feel he is using a screen protector!

It's clear, but I feel like it causes a little bit more friction than the bare screen. As mentioned in another review on here, it's significantly smaller than the entire screen area to avoid peeling at the curved edges, so that may be something that affects your decision to purchase.
How is the fitting of the Brando screen protector? Can someone upload a picture of it on the Galaxy Nexus?
Thanks.
I never realized screen protectors were such a big deal. lol
The one I am using now is the Anti-Glare screen protector that I got from Verizon. It was a bundle with 3 protectors, a car charger, and clip holster.
Didn't realize everyone used one... My GNex stays naked!
Stay away from the ones Verizon sells. They aren't completely terrible, but those things smudge so badly. It's pretty annoying, but I can't complain because they are protecting the screen for the most part.

I've tried just about every screen protector out there and I have come to realize the VZW protectors are the best for me. Yes, they do show smudges a bit more, but they don't yellow, they don't require the wet application, they don't have a weird feeling to them, and they are the cheapest. Also, I had one on my Incredible for 6 months without a mark on it.
Just my opinion after trying tons of brands.

Verizon clear (not anti-glare) works great. No orange peel. there is a 1-2mm gap from the bezel but the sensor cutouts align perfectly
Currently using VZW clear + Incipio NGP.
I went with ghost armor, cost me $15 covers top to bottom and edge to edge. Rep installed it perfectly. No orange peel yet but I do expect some. The good news is that it comes with a life time warranty. If it does begin to show signs of orange peel, they will replace it for a $5 install fee.

This phone apparently has the most fragile screen of any phone I've ever used, and I've already gotten two deep scratches on it just from being in my pocket alone. That question will get you tons of differing opinions. Here's mine, lol.
The Skinomi is really good. I've had them on tons of phones throughout the years and I think they've gotten better. Never had them discolor. My first ones had some orange peel but the one I just installed on my S3 is REALLY nice. No peel. I'm very pleased.
Best part is it's $3 - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0084F4HY8/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00
For 3 bucks, you can't go wrong in trying. If you dont like get the more pricey options. Doubt you will.

This phone apparently has the most fragile screen of any phone I've ever used, and I've already gotten two deep scratches on it just from being in my pocket alone. I'm usually a huge fan of keeping the phone naked, but this is unacceptable. I'm willing to spend at least $20-$30 for a very good screen protector that will stay in place. What's the consensus?

It's almost as if Samsung used a subpar glass on some models. My wife ended up with a good scratch on her screen after a few days, and we have no clue where it came from, she had been super careful with it and never had anything else in the pocket with it. I am currently using a Zagg HD screen protector (honestly cannot tell any difference compared to their old protectors). I have considered trying out one of the glass protectors as I love the feel of the naked screen, the Zagg has the typical silicone screen protector feel to it, but I deal with it because I want my screen protected.
well the only scatch i have its a dot on my home key.
and plastic border,
so unless u put ur pants with a bunch of pointy nails , or sand. it shouldnt scratch that easily
I too have a zagg hd on now and do not like it. Seems to peel up on the sides a few times a week. So are the glass ones good to go? I had read some reviews......I believe it was droid-life that said that there were dots or grids in the finished product?

I bought a Skinomi when Amazon had it on sale for $0.99, and I can't recommend it.
CONS:
1) It's an annoying wet-application that takes a few days to dry, and for all major bubbles & imperfections to go away
2) Even after it dries, a few splotchy imperfections & minor orange peel will remain, but it's not visible with the screen on.
3) It feels RUBBERY. Compared to SGP's smooth ultra crystal, skinomi is just tacky as hell.
4) It peels up at the edges over time, especially with TPU cases, but not so much with hybrid cases.
5) Fairly thick: the home button is flush
PROS:
1) It's cheap-ish
2) It's nearly full-coverage
I guess the thing I hated most about it was the tacky friction feeling as I swiped my fingers, but after it built up a layer of grease, it got better (and after you cleaned it with microfiber, went back to tacky-as-hell). Just wasn't smooth-as-glass enough for my tastes, compared to SGP.
I'm currently using the new-version SGP Ultra Crystal... and my single gripe with it is that I know it's not supposed to be full-coverage, but, it could've been made a little wider. As-is, it's almost exactly as wide as the black part of the display, so you feel the edge sometimes.

I've heard that some of them cause problems with the proximity sensor.

If you really want a clean phone, you can try the new Spigen Glas.t screen protector. This protector made by tempered glass and with not scratch easy. Cost around 35 USD but looks great on your phone.

Careful, a lot of people are having sensitivity problems.
