Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I think it looks interesting and would like to try it out.

im in the process of trying to port it over ..alot of images to resize and change might be some time though ..finishing up a theme for samsung moment over on sdx

Na its just that u sound like a **** wasting ur time posting in a forum for something that u don't like. N I'm not specifically asking u to port it so ur " learn to port" comment is not even warranted. I just think someone spent a lot of time.and effort making the theme ... U don't really have a right ta bash it. Have a lil respect

[Q] How to remove the crappy lockscreen?

So. I got my 5th android telephone now, Galaxy S2, and i absolutely love it. I have ofcourse, rooted the phone and removed most of the crappy samsung apps as most of them just seem to drain battery.
Its almost the perfect phone for me now. There is however one thing that remains and endless anoyance for me. Was the same with S1.
How on earth do you remove that redicilous lockscreen? Or change it to something else? I dont mean changing the lockscreen picture. Just replacing it with some other lock screen. Like the one that comes with HTC Desire and so on.
Just to be clear. I know how to turn lockscreen of. But i want to CHANGE it. I hate the swipething.

5th Android phone and you haven't heard of Market?.. Widgetlocker or who knows how many other options? Maybe post questions in the Q&A section also.

You can try "widget locker" from Market and there is also an app "Agile Lock" that makes the same Lockscreen as its in Sense 3.0 (with the Ring and shortcuts).

Didnt know there were lockscreens on the market as i asumed you had to tamper with som root settings or something! And i never bothered to look for them on most of my phones as i were happy with them as they were... So sorry for asking you sour tard @nobnut !!

Don't usually jump in these, especially when I'm new to the samsung side of xda but I think your the one being a sour tard... Your the one posting questions in the themes and apps section and when he provided you an answer you insult him... smh go investigate the market and while your at it learn how to search.

Widget locker and Agile lock(currently using) are the best alternatives to stock lockscreen. But if you like to read your facebook n rss feeds then you might want tui try out the Flyscreen which is also free. There are other apprentices as well. But these are the best ones to my concern.

[REQ][Theme] Clear Glass S2

Saw this in the i9100 theme section. Think looks pretty sweet. Only thing I would change would be maybe the battery icon and transparent lockscreen.
Wish I had the know how to try and port it but I dont. If any one feels up to it that would be awesome.

There's a universal theme version if you want to try it:

it almost works. it boots up, the theme and is completely applied. But there is no lockscreen and it just hot reboots every 5 seconds. Close but no cigar. I wouldn't imagine much is need to make this work. But then again i don't know anything.

Mongo any part your willing to do i believe will be just fine seeing as how everyone is leaving this phone because of a few bad apples. So i think anything new and worth it will benefit us who do appreciate NEW work.

Well to be honest I too am on the fence about getting a different phone because of all the drama. When we first got root I was pumping out themes pretty regular, I actually had the first theme for our phone. But since a few as you say "bad apples" have been tearing this forum apart I have been reluctant to do any thing. We have had great developers either leave or slow down their work because little kids come in here and reek havoc. It never ceases to amaze me how people who get **** for free have so much to ***** and complain about. We do this for the love of it not for money or because we have to do it. We do it because we want to do it. And its cool as hell when someone see your phone and they are like wow that cool as hell...lol. We all know its the holidays so Im gonna be busy with family but I should have a theme for you guys either Monday or Tuesday. Well with that being said i wish all my fellow xda brothers and sisters a very Merry Christmas and Holiday season.

The phone dialer is bad ass, that would b enough for me.

Wow, didn't know all of that happen! Hope we can continue to get work from US who really appreciate it!!!

i saw this in an article i thought ppl might be interested.
its an easy uploader for a bootanimation, its for windows ursers only.
check it out... idk if we can use it for our device, but i no it works on a bunch of others.

Ok well what I was trying to get at is they are going to be pros and cons for both... Screw what other people think, take a day or a few hours out of your life and jump in to them both... Hey I am on Gummy which he only released as an in between rom and I have not changed since... But I will give the others a shot

Nah we understand and sorry if we sound crazy but in the long run if you want to hear opinions they both have discussion threads with the answer you seek. Well at the moment having tried both currently cm9 alpha 2 has a big pro for me which is working video and Netflix. Also flash video on websites work, I couldn't get browsers to play flash video on codename, but these cm9 fixes will probably be added to codename soon. Tcp is great at updating things.

With code name you can do a tad bit more tweaks with the settings then with cm9.. but I'm on cm9 it has a awesome boot animation lol and when I had code name my ringtone wouldn't ring when people called me

Waze4711 and playya the dynamic duo, they never had questions so they have to be dicks about it.

Right now I think codename is slightly ahead. Once they are bot "complete" I would say CM9. CM9 is still very stock and does not have many additional features and goodies integrated... yet.

Thanks for the answers with the help of the replies and review videos I went with cm9 and I'm definitely liking it.
