[Q] brightness control via live tile ? - Windows Phone 7 Software Development

Is there anyway to put brightness control as live tile instead of going every time to settings

You mean to see the current brightness or to have a shortcut to adjust it?
If it is the latter submit a request here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1343993.

Toggles

Can we do toggles?
Like for example.. lets just say a wifi toggle.. I have an image in which I would like to put it at opacity of 65 and when I tap on it to turn it on. it will become an opacity of 100..
Are there any threads that teach how to do it?

This is only possible if you have Tasker. Zooper currently has no built-in function for this.
I think there was a tutorial on Zooper/Tasker integration but I'll have to look that up. If there is not, I'll put in on my (ever growing) Todo list.
Actually you can. This is what makes Zooper so good, much better than the other custom widget app.
Insert your bitmap and set the opacity to 65
In the advanced parameters enter
For wifi connected
Code:
$#NWSTATE#=2?[bo]100[/100]$
For wifi on but NOT connected
Code:
$#NWSTATE#=1?[bo]80[/100]$
change the value between [bo] to your desired opacity

Yes, that would work to display the current state of wifi but his question was if he can do an actual toggle that switches the state of the wifi when touched (and then display it). That is currently not natively possible in Zooper.

Oops, you're right. Zooper cannot toggle any settings. You will need another app to do that function.
billab0n6 - you can use an wifi shortcut app and link to it from Zooper's ontap action. I'm not sure how to use Tasker but Trigger (aka NFC Task Launcher) can create shortcuts.

Tasker and Zooper integrate very nicely.

Tasker works really well, when you know how to set it up right. I already used it in my setups
Tasker seems very very complicated to use.. I do know seeing them in the forums.. alot of advanced users are using them but from the way I see them talk about it.. it seems quite hard to set it up. .. sigh

You can also use More shortcuts by chYK - available on play store - just link to it in on tap shortcuts. Hope this is helpful to you.

Lockscreen timeout delay

Hello,
I'm using CM 10.1, and I've been looking for an option to change the lockscreen timeout from when the screen is already locked. For example, the screen is locked, and I push the home button to show my lockscreen, the lockscreen stays on for about 15-20 seconds before it times out. Is there any way to change the duration through the settings or possibly and Xposed Framwork mod? I cannot seem to find anything.
Kind Regards,
-
Any suggestions?

Sorry, I'm not quite sure what you mean.. there's nothing in my notification center pertaining to a timeout toggle.

Yes, unfortunately I've searched through the settings already, there doesn't appear to exist such an option.

Try the xposed framework mod or a different mod or try a different rom but am 100% sure that its there on Cm 10.1, i have used CM for a while and again 1000% sure that timeout change settings is there built in either its you or the phone one or the other, this is not something to nag about

Quick access to Rotate screen

Hello,
Quick question. After I flashed the QPE rom on M8 there seems to be no quick way to access the "Auto Rotate Screen" except by going through the settings --> display.
I tried to download widgets from playstore but they didn't work.
Does anyone know any solution?
Thanks,
Anyone have a solution?

Hi, Punira...
Have you tried this...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kennethcheng.com.autorotate
Used it for three years on a variety of Android devices, and it works on my stock M8.
Rgrds,
Ged.
Thanks!
Thanks,
This works great!!
Can't you use the quick setting panel? Pull down the notification panel with 2 fingers will take you immediately there & tap "Auto Rotate". If Auto Rotate is not, you should be able to edit the shortcuts & add it (at least in stock form).

Correct... He could just have removed one of the less important quick settings and added the auto rotate. Like DND, something that I personally never used and probably won't, so might as well remove that one and add auto rotate.

Yeah... this is a more elegant solution to the one I posted earlier. Just wasn't sure if the OPs Custom ROM would allow it.
@Punira
Afraid I don't know anything about the QPE rom you have installed... but if it's anything like HTC Sense factory stock, you should be able to edit the quick settings tiles.
See my attached screenshots... pull down the quick settings tiles (with two fingers on stock) and tap on the edit button, circled in red in my attached screenshot.
You can then drag'n'drop tiles accordingly... including adding the Auto-Rotate tile .
Hope this helps... and good luck.

oneplus 2 missing profile tile in status bar

the profile tile is missing from the status bar pull down, also not available in edit mode, was it removed?

I'm not sure, I was under the impression they are trying to get it to work, from one comment I read. But that was a long time ago!
No quick setting for profiles is the sole reason I've gone back to CM13!!!

Some quick setting tiles are back in latest builds, unfortunately not the profile one, but more are on the way, lets hope profiles is one of them
http://lineageos.org/Last-Week-in-LineageOS-5/
I am looking forward to this, also it will be great if the profiles could be merged with the other automatic profiles (I have two automatic profiles section - one profiles are based on event / time and can do just few things - I think these are Android native, the other are based on wifi / bluetooth connection or manual and can do lot of useful things).
The tile for manual switching is really missing now, hopefully it will be added soon.
It is not just OnePlus, others are affected to (S5 Mini). (maybe this can be changed in header?)
Please bring this tile back! Thank you
I was missing this tile very much, as well.
However, I wrote a small app that brings this feature back for LineageOS. This app provides a quicksettings tile to change profiles and a small widget that displays the current profile and allows to change it from your home screen.
I just published the app here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-profiles-quicksettings-tile-t3665913
Have fun! The quicksettings tile is back.
