Where does FPSE save the Saved Date? - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have made many saves on fpse but where are these files actually saved?
I have heard it should be in the .mrc or .mcd folder but I dont have them folders

I don't know. I tried finding them myself at one time but failed. They are burried within the system somehow.
What you can do is specify the path to your own "slot1.mcd" and "slot2.mcd" files by just creating two .txt files and rename them to those names. Though you will lose the saves you have in the other save files.
But there's an option to backup all files to sdcard in the "system" meny. Try doing that and go look on the sdcard for the .mcd files and then just put them somewhere and specify the location to them.

I used the backup option, then navigated to fpsebackuo folder on the sdcard and copied the files from the memcards folder. Now my memory cards are on the sd and not taking up space on the internal memory. Same thing works for save states, but its a different subfolder.

Thanks guys I used the backup idea. Managed to get a saving I had on my ps3 onto the xperia play

Its in /data/data/ by the way

I found mine at the main directory in your internal memory (by default I guess) under ".fpse". You might need to use a computer since that folder was not visible by my android file managers.
Hope it helps.

how to uninstall android

i got the latest build but nothing of the improvements are working on my tilt 2 i want to know how to uninstall it so could install again. thanks
goto remove programs itll be on the list and when ur done with that goto ur storage and delete the andboot folder
cant find anboot folder
If there is a folder called Android, delete that. If the andboot and android folders don't exist, you're going to have to delete the files manually.
Delete the following files and folders from the root of your microSD card (if they exist): HaRET.exe, default.txt (or startup.txt depeding on your setup), data.img, rootfs.img, zImage, system.sqsh, any of the FSCKxxxx.REC files, "AndroidApps" , the "conf" folder, the "cache" folder, the "download" folder, the "media" folder , the "startups" folder, and the "wallpapers" folder. That should be most or all of the files used by Android.
thanks master

[Q] SD Card Backup to PC

Hi guys, just wondering what your 'workflow' is like when backing the SD card contents to the PC. Do you guys just literally copy and paste all files and create a new folder each time or do you use a program to keep the backup folder in sync with what is on the SD card?
I use Beyond Compare3 - compares 2 folders and shows the differences. Lets you only copy the files that are missing or have been updated/deleted. Saves a whole lot of time!
That program looks quite useful. Will def have a look at that. Thanks! Need something to help maintain backups. Dont really want 10s of copies of the same file in different folders hogging hd space.

[Q] Is there a way to save Zenonia 2 file's within the SD card???

Due to constantly flashing new Roms.. I'm always having to restart from the beginning.. Very frustrating!! I just want to know if there's a way to save my progress in the SD card...
If the game is on your sdcard, move it to the phone. Then look in: /data/data/ and locate the folder for the game. There should be a folder called shared_prefs with xml files that store the game data. They also may be stored in a db which you would also want to back up.
A simpler solution may be to download titanium backup to save the game data, available on the market.
Never played the game so this is an educated guess.
.. I just downloaded the game and it looks like the files you want to backup are in:
/data/data/com.gamevil.zenodia2/files
I would copy the save.dat files along with the other files in there
does titanium backup not save your game? saves mine

[Q] Can someone explain to me how storage works? What is

I decided to upgrade to Lollipop after holding out for awhile.... before I did though, as I knew I was going to run an RUU so I wouldn't have any problems with the OTA, I copied everything in my "storage" (all folders) to my windows laptop desktop via USB.
After upgrading, I copied it all back, making sure not to over-write anything.
What is strange is when I copied all my folders to my laptop initially, I didn't see a Download folder... which I expected to see. But after looking through the folders I had copied, I saw a folder called storage, and in that folder another called emulated, and then another called "0". In that folder I finally saw my Download folder.
I didn't think much of this at the time, however, when I look at storage from Root Explorer, I note there is a new Download folder at the "root" level of storage, but the storage/emulated/0 path is still there as well.... and following it takes me to my old Download folder....
So...to get back my original folders and contents before I upgraded to Lollipop, I have to copy over every folder in this path up 3 levels. i.e., from /storage/emulated/0/storage/emulated to /storage/emulated.
What is going on? Why is there an "0" and a "legacy" if I go up one level from /storage/emulated/??? Why did my old Download folder end up where it did?
I had this exact same thing in my mind.
Why is there such a folder ?
My phone storage was almost full and I found out this folder is taking up whole space.
I cut the storage folder and pasted it into memory card
now all my downloads go to memory card (mmc:storage/emulated/0)
+1
I have also this folder that takes a lot of internal memory space.
I experiment one thing:
I have 1 game that takes 2Gb of data and I have moved it to sdcard memory (using Android-M feature : move app from internal to sdcard )
I saw in this directory (emulated/0/ ) the 2Gb of this game. ????? So, I tryed to copy/paste this data to sdcard, in order to free internal memory space. But I loose the game's configuration.
I was thinking that moving app from internal to scard, the data of the app also move, isn't it ?
I need help to understand that ...

Can no longer see files in my internal memory!

I can no longer see files in my internal memory!
They were present when I connected my phone to laptop and copied some files.
There was an empty folder named /storage/emulated/0 inside the original /storage/emulated/0 directory.
As it was empty, I tried deleting it but it was taking a long time so I cancelled the process.
After I disconnected my device, while on ES File Explorer, I discovered that majority of my files weren't showing up. I selected all the files which are displayed and saw their size, a mere 20MB, and the Homepage on ES File Explorer shows usage to be 2.35GB/12.80GB.
Is it some sort of virus that created a seemingly empty folder inside the actual directory? And what about the files that were showing up previously alongside the folder?
I believe that I may have deleted my files when I tried deleting that folder. And why would that folder seem to be empty? Please help me out here!
Not a solution but might help
Well, almost same thing happened to me a few days ago. I too saw that empty folder and couldn't find the files I needed. I too deleted that folder. Except I deleted it completely. After disconnecting I realized that my phone was empty. There was nothing in the internal storage. Finally I realized that it's actually a virtual folder that won't show any files in your pc but that exactly where all your files are. So, NEVER EVER delete that folder.
Never delete dat folder
Android supports multiple user accounts and store their files
Storage/emulated/0
Storage/emulated/1
Etc
Sometimes that folder shows up when u connect to pc, dont know its a bug or not.

I've learnt my lesson.
Anyway, I was able to recover my images by cloning the userdata partition and mounting it on my laptop and running Recuva on it.
