I have only tried this on my incredible2 but it should work on other phones running MIUI
this will be my first attempt at theming so please be easy on me !!!

I decided to take over this abandoned Tron theme in the MIUI site "why" you may ask yourselves, well Im not really sure as Im not sure why I keep watching the movie over and over lol

the original icons didn't work so I use some free from online you can get them here
of course they were originally made for IOS but I dont think the author cares if we use them
all credit goes to the maker of the icons and the guys who made the black ice theme which I mixed with the Tron theme !!!!

-new set of icons bigger size (153 total for now, i will make more)
-fixed the blank icon (it should display the default app icon for every icon not include in the pack)
-im almost 100 percent sure I covered all the icons for every app that comes with MIUI as a default plus more let me know if you see it any different on your phone !!!

the icons from the original miui post didn't work i used this
guide to replace the icons and make my own, i'll post the icon.mtz and you can try

lol yes that should be it i need to rename it. I use an already made miui icon pack and replace the images and names to the tron icons, it takes time but it works it may said is an old format and has to convert it

I actually have an xda premium icon, but yes ill get the whole lust and pm it to you sometime today. Also I can mod the miui lockscreens a little..well a few of them..once you post up your complete set ill see if there's anything I can do (modded music controls, custom apps to open, etc)

awesome Im glad you're helping, I had an idea maybe you can also help as you know the rest of the theme needs some serious help for example: dialer, notification pull down and the whole thing in general. My idea was to make or try to make everything clear(menus) and use the wallpaper from the desktop as the main glow effect for all the other menus? you know how to go about doing it?
i have seen other miui themes that have clear menus

If you take the other miui themes and break them apart, you can look at their code. I honestly just know a tiny about about the lock screen. Seems though it will be allot of changing pngs to match the wallpaper.

maybe i can find a theme that already has clear menus I have seen it before and just add onto it everything else then back it up like you said and make it a full theme that way !!!!

*UPDATE*
I have now made the app-drawer semi-transparent like in Galaxy Ace+ or Galaxy SII. I have replaced the Touchwiz30Launcher.apk in the attatchments, so just re-download and replace it in system/app and change permissions to:

Hey everyone. Iv just recently registered for this forum, iv been visiting it quite a lot lately and trying many new things. Anyway to get to the point...
Iv downloaded and tried many Touchwizlauncher.apk and systemui.apk from various threads and iv modded a few things to make it look like how i wanted, and it looks remarkably close to the Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus. I would just like to share the things that make my Ace look like the screens below for anyone who would like to use it.
I have made the dock transparent in the homescreen, and in the appdrawer. Also I edited the dropdown menu in systemui slightly on the bit where you slide it up and down. (see screenshots)
As i have said, iv been downloading and trying lots of different things so i cant remember which users i downloaded the original files from before i modded them, so i would like to apoligise but i would also like to thank the original makers. Credits go to original makers, i just slightly changed a few things as u can see in the screenshots. like transparent dock in the app drawer. also i edited the drop-down menu slightly.
Also, If anyone could take my Touchwiz30launcher.apk and make the appdrawer SEMI-TRANSPARENT instead of fully transparent that would be amazing!

Note:
The zip is flashable through CWM
The Touchwiz30Launcher.apk and SystemUI.apk need to be replaced in system/app using root explorer and then you need to change the permissions. and reboot.
Make sure you download alternative launcher, like launcher pro, just in case things mess up. And make a backup of the touchwiz and systemui apk's before you replace them.

yeah you are right. The drop-down for the sga+ is slightly different, and the app drawer is semi-transparent. also the home screen page numbers are at the bottom.
if some1 could make the app drawer semi-transparent and move the homescreen page numbers to the bottom, it would look very very close to the sga+

Ive had a crazy number of PM's on how to make them, instructions ect ect so the dudes over at the desktop thread suggested a new thread just for this purpose..

No, the question is not about the ROM but the launcher, i managed to figure the things out on ADW Launcher, 7x7 grid layout, Hyperdroid as well.

Press the widget, select 'Icon - current condition' from the drop down menu, press set folder and choose 'weather2' or whatever the other choice is.

Hey Dude , It's not against your work but i think if you wait until the holo launcher is out of beta it would have much more customizations and it would be more bugless. So it would be easier for you to theme the app Just my opinion ,but so far great work. Maybe you should make the appdrawer icons smaller or generaly all icons cause our ace's screen isn't the biggest so if you use smallicons the screen would look more hmmm. bigger?

Dear spacecaker, I would like to have a few more mods for this wonderful modded holo launcher...
1. Is it possible to make the App Drawer Icon to Stock SGSII App Drawer Icon ? (Icon/Screenshot Attached/See Attachments).
2. Can you make the Overhead Lines/Tabs in the App Drawer from Black/Dark to White/Grey/Light Colour, since it’s a bit hard to see. (Screenshot Attached/See Attachments).
3. Is it possible to make the App Drawer from Horizontal/Pages to Vertical/Scrolling type ? (I think it has to be done by the Launcher's Dev & not you, Right ?)

1st off I wanna say no disrespect to the devs...I appreciate all the hard work that goes into all the awesome roms...seems that with all the talk of jellybean and without an official ics release that THEMING has taking a back seat..although i am enjoying team rejects change of pace (annihilation is awesome!) And I love the look of miui but I can't get it to work good enough for me to use as my daily,with that being said I kinda long for the days of a DUSK theme or an all white with black letter theme like the GTX rom I had on my TP2 I think these would look sweet on my et4g...anyone willing to work on anything similar to these?

Dude. you can do most of this yourself..with wallpapers, beautiful Widgets. custom icon sets, themable launchers and icons, rocket dial allows you to theme your dialer...don't wait for somebody to do it for you bro...create your own masterpiece...

Thanks for the words of encouragement but I am far from skilled enough to do all that(hell I even gave up on uccw and mclock because I couldn't get em to work right for me..lol) might not have been anything special to anyone else in Xdaland but I've been proud of my previous screenies on this phone though...good idea!..thanks again!

Also...I highly recommend giving this launcher a try...the customization options are so amazing, it took me like a week til I got my pages like I wanted them. Check out some of these guys setups, you can find mine in this thread if you go deep enough...

Shee-it! I'm nobody special, I just like the subject....I like to be able to show my phone to those iPhone assholes and them be like Holy ****! that's so cool, yeah that's right....you can't do that with your iPhone! I got tired of waiting for a rom or theme to come out, only to be disappointed because its somebody else's idea of the way they want their phone to look...f that...just play around you'll be amazed what you can do with your phone...this is my 2 year old Evo running ReMics-UX which is a SGS3 port...

I'm telling you guys, you can do it yourself, all you need is a good CM9 or CM7 base rom, find a theme you like for the theme Chooser in that rom, use a themeable launcher, Apex, ADW EX, or SSLauncher, this thread a **** ton of icon sets http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19600116
I use the free app ChargeBar (in play store) for a centered bottom status bar battery bar, I use Rom Toolbox to change system font, I use Android Pro Widgets for Twitter, Messaging, Bookmark, and Calendar Widgets...these have different themes and colors available for the Widgets....Here is a link to some of what I did with SsLauncher...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25394812

Also for dialer, I recommend Rocket Dial it has different themes, and you can find a theme for just about any 3rd party keyboard out there...I like ICS keyboard in the market

Not really any more than having Sense or something like that on your phone, its more of a kernel thing and we have some great evo specific kernel devs over here, you just have to find a pure AOSP rom without all the Sense, TouchWiz, Motoblur overlays, then just add your own Widgets icons launcher dialer keyboard font over that and create your personalized interface the way you want it....

was gonna post this elsewhere, but here's as good as a place as any i suppose. for those that want to mess around with theming here's a great place to start. it's a vrtheme template for our phone. It should work with most roms. here's a link with some quick info and the download link with our updated binary. all thanks to the villianrom team for a great template/idea

basically instead of having to decompile and recompile apk's and have a complete and working apk to flash, this only requires that you place the images, xml's etc in the correct folder structure. everything is in the vrtheme folder in the zip. so to theme a system app, say systemui, you would create a folder called SystemUI.apk in the correct folder structure, namely vrtheme/system/app/SystemUI.apk. then all you have to do is drag and drop the images you want swapped into the proper folder locations. I included an example folder structure for images in drawable-hdpi for systemui and framework-res to get ya started. beauty of this is you can literally drag and drop whole sections of other themes into the template and it will just replace those images on our phone. So if those themes in the OP have same sized images and same names, you could just drag and drop those into the respective vrtheme zip folder and flash away. Make sense? just starting to get this going again on our phones, so mess around, but be careful, I'm obviously not responsible to anything you do
it can also be used to theme paid apps, which is sweet. since your not actually including the apk itself, and the app has to be in the location specified before you apply the theme.

This is my first time doing a universal theme, there are MANY things to keep in mind.
1. Flashing this will vary with every rom, why?
- Every rom is built differently, for example Beans has many XML edits to make the text blue therefore on some roms your text will be stock.
- There can also be edits done to XML's to point to certain images, if you flash this on a rom and it doesnt look like the below images, thats why.
2. VERY important if you guys want this as complete as possible.
-VRThemes work by finding your APK and then extracting the images into its place. For example if you have Gmail.apk in data/app and I have the Gmail app named, "com.google.android.gm-1.apk" then the theme will not apply. Some roms will have some APK's named differently. If you come across something that isnt themed, simply use ES File Explorer and find the proper name for your .APK (usually located in system/app) and PM me with the APK's name and what rom you are using.

Fixed the "in-call" banner to be blue instead of green. This only works for Clean ROM SE 3.1.

5/21/2013 - Added Blue and White clock color options. Revamped the, "mods" menu. Changed the toggle icons for the stock Samsung toggles and lidroid toggles. Themed more white and blue 1X, 3G, 4G icons for other carrier's and international roms.
5/16/2013 - Fixed the Gmail problem, it works perfectly now. Added a selection for white status bar icons! Added the default Elegant wallpaper. 146 S-Pen hover icons and 33 sounds to pick from.
Added Clean ROM SE 3.1 mods. You can pick from:
100% Increment batteries with 13 blue batteries and 8 white batteries.
Carrier logos with 36 different options.
100% and 50% transparent statusbar. (DONT USE 100% STATUSBAR TRANSPARENCY WITH WHITE STATUSBAR ICONS BECAUSE SOME APPS WILL MAKE THE STATUS BAR WHITE.)
4/26/2013 - All I did is fix something in Aroma and themed the in-call statusbar mute icon.
4/23/2013 - I've added Aroma! You can pick between stock battery and 1% increment battery (this varys by YOUR ROM.) Added a themed loading icon, fixed the "in-call" icons to better match the rest of the theme, themed all icons to the right hand side of the status bar to ICS blue. If you notice something isn't themed PLEASE let me know.

Thanks for the feedback man. They probably have it named differently then I do. It could be ROM specific but I can look into it for you. I noticed your image, it looks like the status bar icons aren't themed. Did you skip this step or something?
if you can port more themes for us that would be awesome, seeing we are losing dev faster than my GS1
