I was just posting my apk in the MIUI.us thread, but figured since there are more than just that MIUI rom for the Vision, that I would make my own thread.
The default Mms.apk allows for pictures 1024x768 and only 300kb in size. And this usually ends up with pictures being sent and recieved at less than 100kb. In my experience anyway.
With my Mms.apk, pictures can be 2592x1552 with a maximum size of 3MB. (112300 build has a 1MB limit and resolution of 2592x1944) I believe T-Mobile has a limit of 1MB MMS messages, but with these settings I send and recieve pictures that are 200-300+KB. So I achieved what I wanted!
All Mms.apk's from 201130 are going to have a 1MB limit and a resolution of 2592x1552
Depending on what I'm doing, I'll try to have the new Mms.apk up by Friday night, but it could be as late as Sunday, so be patient, please.
I'll have them named like this: "MIUI-[builddate]-Mms.apk".
Code:
adb remount system
adb push MIUI-[builddate]-Mms.apk /system/app/Mms.apk
adb reboot
Any input? does this work for anyone not on T-Mo? Possible suggestions? I'm surprised no one has asked me to make it a flashable zip.... I don't know how... just fyi
I have used your fix on At&t Inspire 4G and it works perfectly
Thanks!

Sorry about the delay, I just migrated to linux, so apktool was a bit of a learning curve! Through some googling I got it taken care of though!
Awesome mod! I put a link to it on my page. Would you mind if I use it in my rom?
What are the differences between the files?
Got it.

You have to match the build date of my MMS file to the build date of the ROM you're running.
Thanks!

So I made some attempt to make a flashable one it worked for me. (it is for the latest one)
For the next version you can update the apk in the zip

No, this apk will only work on MIUI. and from the sounds of it, it works on more than just one phone.
Side Question:
Does anyone on the official MIUI.us forums actually read these features/updates/bugs and ever consider pushing the fix to their builds?
having to wait/fix/flash updates based on builds is getting stupid/tiring.
Not saying you haven't done a good job, but it's just really aggravating to have to stay on top of things.

I do have a thread on the miui.us board. but I'm not 100% if all phones are capable of large MMS, which is probably why it only allows smaller pics by default.
Hey I applied this fix to my HTC HD2 with an MIUI ROM. Now I can send MMS just fine, but still cannot receive... Any idea of what setting or file or whatever effects the receiving part?
I thought both sending and receiving had to do with APN settings? Beyond that, I'm unsure...

There is also a bug when entering the mobile network settings it will fc, so to change bands or anything related to that, try and find a market app that does that, im sure there's plenty.

Okay so i downloaded, its legit fasted 2.2 sense rom right now on the G2. Everything is working.. but as far as looks go something doesnt feel right. The notification bar icons dont fit. calm down dude, the reason icons are like that is because thats the way myn whanted it, thats how the theme works. i really cant do anything, because i would be changing how myn looks and thats not my goal here. and im sure myn would not like hes rom being spread with stuff changed. again you are more than welcome to do it your self for your personal use.

Rom works great, really fast for sense...... might stick with this one for a bit, even though its 2.2 .
Had this ROM on my Evo and it was great (one of the better ones). Nice to see it here for the G2.
I've been waiting for WYN to come to the G2 for a longtime. The ROM is FAST for sense and I ran a quadrant without and got 1296 not bad. I will use this as my DD for a while. I also like the customization you can do with this ROM. So far I tired to download several custom items and no luck but still it's a nice ROM.

Is there anybody who modified his/her framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk from Andromadus Audacity Beta 2 (dunno if these files are very ROM specific, but I'd like to play safe) according to this HOWTO and is willing to share them with me?
I'd love to enable the Navigation Bar but I'm unable to recompile framework-res.apk
So I ask the community: Could anybody who did that successfully or is able to do that within a minute or so upload the files for me?

I found something even better (in my opinion):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1980828
In the GS3 I9300 forum, someone posted an Aroma Installer version of the 4.2 Gapps that works for BOTH AOSP and Samsung-based ROMs. I flashed it on my SGH-T999 (T-Mobile GS3) and EVERYTHING works perfectly without FCs. Actually, the camera still FCs if you don't manually focus first, but that seems to be a problem we can't get rid of just yet. Everything works in AOSP ROMs, but the email and lockscreen font apps don't work in Samsung-based ROMs.
All the 4.2 Gapps features like camera, desk clock, lockscreen font, email, emoji keyboard, gmail, google now, keyboard, launcher, market, play music and also nexus 4 sounds, wallpapers and bootanimation are present and working. Since these files are all in one Aroma Installer, you can flash them all at once or pick and choose. The guy who posted it is Zoot1 and I think he did a good job. The OP of this thread did good too, but this might make things much simpler. Again, it's safe for SGH-T999 (T-Mobile GS3) and likely for all versions of GS3.

Maybe your own laziness is what's bothering you. Why didn't you flash from my original post that linked directly to the att one? Or did you not see it? Did you not put together that my original post had the att link but I edited it because of someone else's opinion. I mean the guy gave a thorough explanation of it, so it was safe to assume it worked. Maybe the op of the thread he linked changed the installer causing it not to work anymore. You should think before you start calling other people out. I was planning to test the aroma installer that the guy suggested, but I don't have all the time in the world. Hey guys, I'm a relative from the AT&T LGOG community.
I made a small (amateurish) theme for the mms.apk for my phone and wanted to try and port it to the sprint variant.
I used the LGUSMms.apk from a deodexed ZV9 stock ROM (posted by b-reezy HERE).
I do not have the Sprint LGOG and therefor have not been able to test this.
Some great users have tested and reported it works. Thanks guys.
LINK to original AT&T thread.
I have spent the last 2 days re-theming the conversation skins for the stock LGUSMms.apk.
I was inspired by whiteguypl's theme HERE.
This has his dark holo theme included. (Has the same little issue where the text color of links that people send you is the same as the background color).
(If you have an issue with this whiteguypl, please let me know).
I have included screenshots for all the themes.
I know they are a little rough, I am still brand new to themeing.
This was some pretty tough work (mostly because I had to learn a lot and made a few mistakes in the process).
Usual Disclaimer:
I am not responsible for any harm done to your device from flashing this.
I have flashed it fine on my phone without issues but cannot promise the same for you.
This replaces the LGUSMms.apk from /system/app/, so I strongly recommend either a system backup in recovery or at least making a copy of your LGUSMms.apk before installation.
Install via recovery.

Are you on a deodexed rom?
If not, maybe try renaming /system/app/LGUSMms.odex to LGUSMms.odex.bak (I'm assuming this is the name of it).
Then reboot.
I had a user say that that worked for another mod on a stock odexed rom.

Right, if you are deodexed there shouldn't be a .odex file, so there shouldn't have been anything to rename (if you renamed the .apk then the system won't see the app anymore, you'll want to change it back).
Did you try changing the conversation skin at all? Maybe one just didn't work (my guess it would be the blue striped background, the image names were different).
Can you try copying the THIS file (just the .apk in the .zip, maybe the .zip didn't flash right) to /system/app and making sure permissions are set to -rw-r--r--.
You'll have to reboot every time you change an app in there.
Thanks, and sorry it didn't work like it should have at first, I appreciate the help.

Great!
By copying the .apk or something else?
If so, maybe the .zip was messed up.
I'm thinking maybe the script is not mounting the partition correctly due to differences between the AT&T and Sprint versions.

Thanks.
And I would love to, but class just started back up for me (today was the first day and I have an assignment and quiz already tomorrow) and until I know how my schedule is going to balance out, I'm not sure how much time I can devote to themeing/etc.

Any plans to update with more? or plans to fix the ICS blue and black one that had text in colors you can read?
But works great, thanks! :good:

And I was hoping to do more, but don't know when (see above) and was also hoping to fix the text color issues. I have been looking around in the .xmls and think I may have found the link colors, but I have yet to find out where the colors are set for individual skins (ie. the green "nature" theme has blue text in it because the original paper skin had blue text in it, I haven't been able to find where that is set).
Just wanted to give you an update, changed ROM's and flashed V1.2 and it worked perfect.
Works great wish we had more color schemes or choices

If I could make a request for a blue and yellow theme, like from IGPX, I'd love that option. Lemme know if you need help, I can try to assist

Can we please get this for ZVB jellybean?
The stock themes are aweful. I know all I really want is the blue/gray one.
Thanks!

Download links removed, it's just 4.2.2 framework and apps with 4.3 in the names. Sorry for the misunderstanding, I thought this was 4.3 from the beginning myself. If anyone wants to start trying to port the 4.3 Galaxy S IV google edition, or 4.3 from the Nexus 4 over, just shoot me a PM. I'll be glad to risk my device to help the community.
To any mod that sees this, go ahead and close it or keep it open for development reasons.
How exactly do you download the file.....? Nothing is working to get it to download

eh? I'll upload it to a few more mirrors, the mega mirror is working fine for me.
EDIT: Mirror 2 is up on Hotfile, if the mega mirror is giving anyone problems.
Drop me a PM if you need a tester, I'm not longer helping on development other than rom testing. cause you know, android + someone that loves technology = FLASH FLASH FLASH
Thank you very much for this. I will have to download this for some testing.
I also added a 3rd mirror, just incase.
Excellent.

downloading, excited lol
We're glad to have been able to get as far as we could, I just hope more advanced developers can fix what we couldn't. I'll still help test though.

Yeah settings is a bit screwed. We couldn't figure out how to get it working right while trying to maintain pure AOSP settings by removing all of the CM settings.

Do you know why he decided to use CM10.1 as the base and not AOSP?

Because samsung hasn't released source code for 4.2.2, because its not out officially (Everyone that has a samsung phone and is involved in development knows how slow samsung is with version updates,) And for 4.3, this is a leaked build ported from the Xperia Z. We would have much rather tried AOSP, but every attempt with a AOSP rom (Such as the Google edition S4 rom) we couldn't get the system to boot, so we stuck with what we could get working. We would have rather used all of google's sources, but there wasn't much of any other way for us to do it, especially since all of the AOSP roms for the d2att are built using CM libraries. It's a mess of what we've done, i know but at least we were able to bring it over to the device.

Well, like I said I'm still able to help test the rom and look for bugs, but I need someone to help develop on it.
I think port from galaxy s4 4.3 ROM would be better. If @CNexus Ported HTC sense to a Samsung device using a CM10 kernel, we can do better.
I'm up to give help, I stopped MIUI till I fix some things. Only I'm a viable on weekends

From what we figured out when we tried the S4 4.3 port, refused to boot no matter what we did, The Xperia Z booted without any issue, just with bugs.

You are welcome to use and fix whatever you can. I actually have no developer experience, Lemagex was the one fixing the bugs, I was the one testing for him, since he has an Xperia Z, and I have the i747.
