Anyone know where I can get the stock browser.apk for the Inc 2?
You can pull it from any stock sense rom, but if you intend on using this on an AOSP rom, cyanogen, miui, xplod, etc. it wont work.

Is it possible to remove the HTC apps (including the sense U/I and launcher) from the stock 2.2 rom and install the AOSP apk's? I tried using custom roms, but the lack of a stable 4G is causing me to go back to the normal rom.
Thanks!
Well you can delete the sense.apk for the ui and get the aosp design, but you won't be able to installed the aosp apks. [As far as I know]. Regardless, if its not an "htc sense apk" the apk should install.
there are a few roms... sense roms... almost completely stripped of it. non aosp.
vaelpak has a rom with a lot or most sense removed

...and non sense

There is a flashable zip that would strip sense down to bare minimum. IIRC the dev was OmegaSun..

anyone available to make an AOSP gingerbread rom? Clean and fast like openfire
CM7 is Gingerbread AOSP ROM. And it's Clean fast and updates are like everyday I don't think anyone would build one from scratch.
cause than you have an real sweet rom.
Nooting bull**** added. Nothing else only gingerbread.
H4oxer said he was working on an AOSP 2.3 rom, but it's still very buggy.

hi guys,
we all now ICS is coming to DHD soon..
and my DHD, is rooted so i need back to stock rom for ICS upgrade??
Yes and no. If you wanted the stock pics from HTC will release you have to go back to stock or install the ruu.(end with the same result). Or the better option install a custom from based of ics either aosp or something sense which ever you prefer

iam return to stock rom over manual to root from behind succesfully
So I got my HTC One X a few days ago. I wanted to flash a ROM on it, but I like the stock camera. I read somewhere that I can't put the stock cam on sense-less roms. so it would be possible to put it on sense-based roms?
I saw this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1705334
it's sense-based. would it be possible to use the stock camera here? I think it would, but I'd like to make sure :fingers-crossed:
Yes it works in ANY sense based rom. Even if you de-sense a rom you are only getting rid of the launcher and a few other bloatware apps. The camera app won't be removed.
It's not compatible on non sense based roms such as CM9/CM10/AOSP/AOKP based roms as they utilise stock Google and extremely hard to port over due to closed drivers and certain libs.

Can I run the stock ics keyboard on a sense rom? Preferably jmzonev rom?

You can download one from the market for any ROM but I have always found them to be slow and laggy.
However, when I was running jmz's CM9 ROM the stock keyboard that comes with the ROM is great.
