I just ordered my TB, I want to know what accessories I should buy to make it the best phone on the market.
charger...
other than that...i dont use anything they gave me. not the car charger, car mount, screen protectors, and now not even the double case..
i recommend a tpu material case (jelly-like yet somewhat hard plastic material, NOT silicone which attracts lint and sticks to things) for $10 or less from amazon/ebay and a cheap screen protector from the same sources.

HTC Extended Battery
If anyone hunting around ebay sees the good stuff if you could throw up some links? I just bought 3 1500mAh batteries for 12.00 including shipping, so even if they dont work Ill have some nice paperweights. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200593732607&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
Has anyone got anything from that company or have any dealing with close batteries
secondary charger, screen protector
Car charger.. the key is to charge it everywhere until they can optimize battery life

My car chargers always brake, What do you use?
How do u break ur charger? I'm more curious about that lol
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
No, Idea after I got my eris I bought the official verizon and like 2 weeks later it just stopped charging, since then I only buy the super cheap ones and I can't really blame them on braking

Agreed 100%. They should've sold it with the extended battery already on it for $299.99 in my opinion, but I'm sure that would have made some people think twice about buying it to begin with.
I always break my car chargers too, so I bought a little car usb charger and plug into that, havent had a problem since and I can charge anything now.

Yeah I have a little USB car charger that lets me use my own USB cable. Great since I can swap between my Micro-B cable (for the TB) and another cable such as say the Zune cable.

Isn't it just a USB power plug ?
If so it will be surelly faster than charging from your PC but I wouldn't pay 17 dollars for it. I mean, it's identical to the s2 orignal charger only with a removable usb cabble right ?
That looks like the charger for my old Captivate. My SGS2 charger does not look like that. OEM chargers should be faster than generic chargers because Samsung hardware doesn't allow the generic ones to charge as fast.
Yeah you are right but why they have called it a Rapid charger ????

It looks like a scam!
if you have your samsung original charger a custom kernel you might want to change the USB voltage settings while charging.
The problem with fast charging it is because it reduce the battery life. Its cool to charge the phone fully in no time but in short-mid term it is not something you should do
doesnt harm the phone or battery???

Not on short term.
But if you do that everyday the battery will suffer and will loose effective power.
Also if you force an higher usb port voltage on the phone make sure you dont use a computer usb port as electrical issues may occurs.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
The sgs2 doesn't even use the oem at full capacity (1000Mah) it only chages @ 450 Mah because of samsung's software limiting the input. Use a custom kernel such as siyah to enable faster charging @ 650 Mah which speeds up the charging to about 2-3hrs

mate the best cure for slow charging times is a desktop charger and a spare battery you can even take it to the next level and get
2x 2000mah batteries
1x genuine samsung desktop battery charger/stand
thats what i do and its so nice not having to wait the 3+ hours it takes from empty to max , i abuse the phone , then just swap batterys and put the empty one on charge
seriously samsung gave us a removeable battery and a micro sd slot something thats getting rare these days in high end phones so grab a spare battery and a memory card and make the most of them lmao
edit
i spent approx £50 on batterys and a charger from amazon and its the best thing i done i literally never have to have my phone plugged in at all
Mate..how much time desktop charger takes for 2000mh battery ????

Pristine way right? How that can be happening? Maybe you can use fast charge from google play, as sir arco make it compatible with his roms. But actually it is not necessary to do that as you plug in to wall socket. But you can give it a try.

No. That's battery calibration apps. This is fast charge app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nz.org.winters.android.gnfastcharge
Before connect to charger, open the app, give superuser permission then on it. The plug your charger. It should change to ac charge. Actually it function as if we want to charge it using usb and plug in at laptop, or maybe in car that have usb. So we don't need charger that can plug in the car. Give it a try. Cheers

LoL. Another beliver in myths and little green ghosts inside an Android phone. No offence meant, but it´s a pain explaining over and over this is just a myth and giving real facts many people still ignore even after being proven why it´s a myth.

Don´t belive in what some apps are you showing. Take a DMM and check the voltages yourself. Your charger should output 5V and your battery should have 4.2V when it´s fully charged and something between 3.0-3.6 when discharged.
Myabe your charger is dying or its the battery. Either way no software will fix this, nor whiping battery stats which Android is doing on each reboot, nor green Android ghosts.
First check the voltages and try an other charger. Secound if needed replace the battery against a new one because it may also be the battery which is dying where it´s internal resistance is growing and so reducing the charging current.
The max charging current should be around 0.7 x capacity as charging with higher currents will decrase its lifetime.
It´s not worth using FastCharge. Neither for the lifetime nor for the risk to get your battery exploded, as this is growing too with higher currents.
Currently cargers are dirt cheap. You can get one with 1Ampere output for around $3-4. A replacement battery costs about $10-20.

I recently bought a new battery, which ironically is $39 for a non-original battery, whereas the Samsung battery was charging $52... I think the cause is the charger, it has been relentlessly supporting me for one and a half years and I think its time to say goodbye to it.

Yes, I have had already a lot of chargers dying. Disassembled them all and they all are using the same circuit. They are made dirt cheap and it´s production costs will be about 50 cent. The only better quality circuit I came across was from a charger made by Sony. This one was even worth to be repaired but if it comes to the other cheap ones I´m just throwing them away and replacing with new ones.
Just wounder why the batteries are so expencive in your area.

Hi all,
I need to buy a charger for my SGS3. I need either a genuine Samsung one, or a safe and compatible micro-usb charger with an extended cable. I don't want to get one on ebay because I don't trust the listings, and Amazon's listings have negative reviews where users talking about their chargers have exploded and flown across the room.
I'm UK based so I don't want to order from other countries due to shipping times/costs.
Helpful inputs will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Any charger is compatible heck i even use the apple ipad plug and a OEM Htc cable and it works fine
the phone itself regulates all the charging not the charger itself..
but make sure you buy a Hi quality micro USB cable or else you could short your phone
Thanks for the reply, but where should I buy the product from?

Amazon is one of the best places and by sorting them by highest rated and with the most reviews makes it easy. Or if you want to keep it easy, buy the Galaxy S4 charger (2.1 A instead of 1.0 A!) off Samsung.com and if you register your device, they give you a 50% of promo code for mobile accessories which makes it about $20.

Another good option is to check hotels in your area. People leave behind their phone chargers ALL THE TIME: they're not worth driving back for, and often people won't even bother to have them mailed to them. As a result, pretty much every hotel desk has a box of chargers that they hold on to for people who forgot to bring theirs. If you ask nicely, they might let you pick through it and take one. These are often the brandname chargers that came with the phones.
I noticed that the ones with a lot of reviews seem to be the most untrustworthy, I saw a listing with one that had 60 5 star reviews, but it also had 50 1 star reviews that talked about how the charger has literally blown up and flown across the room or stopped working on its second charge. As for local hotels... There aren't any near where I live

Can't you just go to some big retail surface around your area and get one from there? Any charger with a microusb will work. The only thing i'd look out for is the 1A charging current (like the original) so the phone finishes charging in in about 2h. Just avoid the real obvious crap ones from shady brands and you should be fine. You can just trade it in if it doesn't work properly. I got a bundle from energizer for a bit less than 20€ (around £17). Had a wallsocket charger with 2 usb sockets (1A), a car charger one (with 1A and 2 usbs too), a rather long cord and several ends to plug just about every device i could think of. Obviously microusb included.
What about the same as the one provided in the original box? It should be safe I think.
