HTC P3600 5 to 6

Sir,
I have a HTC P3600 running Windows mobile 5, can i upgrade TO windows 6 or 6.1, on the HTC website they have a ROM upgrade which i thought was what i wanted, when i upgraded i am still left with windows mobile 5, what was the point of that from HTC, appreciate any help.

htc p4600 with windows 6.1

Hi,
I am new to this forum, so apologies beforehand for any silly questions. I got this phone from my uncle (used one) - HTC p4600, rom version : 1.95.502.05, windows mobile 6.1. i would like to upgrade it to latest windows mobile version ( i dont know what is the latest version 6.5 or 7).
If going to 6.5 or even 7 what are the instructions/steps and from where i can download those OS?
