Download VZW Total Stock DJ11
Instructions:
Get the latest version of java here: http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp
Put your phone into "Download Mode"
Run the program once, and if it does not work, then check the "Flash Bootloaders" checkbox and flash again
Your device will end up as it came from the factory. You will be asked to set your device up again. After connecting to WIFI you may receive a carrier package update.
Will this work for VZW Tabs? I see VZW in the title, but EA24 is totally Sprint. What gives?

It is a sprint package. My focus is recovery with UnBrickable mod. This is part of a system of recovery for use with Linux where a device which wont boot needs a firmware flash from temporarily uploaded bootloaders.
I'll get a vzw package up. I totally forgot about carrier branding.
Yeah this will be great for VZW. I was thinking of selling mine and returning it to stock but when I tried it said baseband was EI04 but it was android version 2.2??!??? will your method, when u post it, take us back to stock 2.3.5 EI04?

I'm uploading DJ11 right now, this is a 2.2 build.
tried this tonight on VZW tab - flash goes fine - when I try activation bypass with volume up/down, it works initially, then lets me proceed with setup, but when setup is done and get prompt that galaxy tab is ready to use, it takes me back to the "welcome to SCH-I800" screen (which I've never seen on any ROM - can't remember if it was there when I first got the tab stock and set it up) - when I touch the android, it takes me back to activation screen, but activation bypass will not work this time - perhaps some remnants of your Sprint files still there? Have reflashed three times, same result - I don't know - so close to working - I'm trying to get back to stock DJ11 so I can update to stock 2.3.5 - anyone else having this problem?

They're two different packages. Different kernels ROMs and Params and cache. You're experiencing a stock ROM which requires activation.

Understood that it's stock - but even on out of the box, totally stock tabs the bypass trick works - something weird about they way it will take you through the setup process perfectly, only to bring you back to the android screen, which you do not see initially - I don't use a data plan, just wi-fi - you've done such a great job here, so close - is there any workaround?
If only this could restore modem... I would've named it the holy grail of Galaxy Tab.
I've released information on creating your own Heimdall one-Click here: [Release] Heimdall One-Click - ROM Packaging and Distribution System
I know this is an old thread but I need some assistance from whoever can provide it. I am trying to return my Sprint tab to stock with the one click but I am having a hard time.
I try to do it, but I am constantly running into walls.
I try to flash but it gets stuck on the last step where it says that it has to reboot the tab. then the one click screen says disconnected. And the computer says that it found new hardware. The tab stays looping at the samsung screen.
What should I do to get out of this?
I feel your pain! I wound up bootlooping my Sprint Tab yesterday.
I didn't see this thread, so I don't have any experience with this particular tool. However, I did manage to recover my Sprint through information I found on the forums.
You should still be able to put it back into download mode. Then using Odin/Heimdall, you can flash it back to stock with the stuff found in this post: Stock Odin/Heimdall Files: Stock EF17 Tar
Also, the [SPRINT][CDMA]Galaxy Tab (SPH-P100) Mega Development Starter Thread (CWM, EF17 TAR) thread was pretty helpful too.
Hope this gets you headed in the right direction, I haven't done much flashing with my tablet and the information above wound up helping me out.
Please Reupload Stock Firmware
Hey wondering if anybody still has the one click file for sprint sph p100
I can't find any good download links for sph p100 seems like they are too old.
Thanks

Ive also been looking to root my galaxy sgh s730m since the day i got it , but havent had much success at all
i did happen to find an unlock for 21.99$ it works great , but would love to have this phone rooted !!! ive tried the process of the ICS Root (Binary) but it failed and did not work , so i guess were stuck for a bit
I've actually used Kijiji today and found someone who said they can root the phone. The they are charging $25.00 I will get it done over the weekend and post back to let you know how all is. I'm gonna try to ask him what program or softwares he used to root this phone
Sent from my SGH-S730M using xda app-developers app
The kernal in my Samsung Galaxy Discover has the last 3 characters listed as "LJ5". A kernal similar to LJ5 which works in a Samsung phone under the ICS enviromnment ma y work.
Has anyone tried the Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18 method yet? This file which works in Samsung Galaxy S2 and other phones rquires no flashing of kernal.
There are several sites which claim to unlock the Samsung Galaxy Discover with prices ranging from $7.29 to $14.99 to $20. But it would be more challenging to root the phone and have superuser privilege to do changes.
I tried that one as well and got a mounting error
Did the mounting error occur before or after you run "runme.bat" ?

Well i wanted to bring my phone in to get rooted on saturday , but friday night the phone had turned off and wouldnt turn back on again , i have no idea what happened so i returned it to the store and got a different phone , i am done with android for the time being because it seems everytime i get an android it bricks itself or there is some sort of problem with it ,
i will be buying a samsung galaxy s2 though in the next few weeks , im sure that will be easy to root !
so as for me getting the phone rooted , that isnt going to happen unless i do come up with a way to get the discover again , but probally wont be buying it ...
Sorry for the inconvienice
Here is a mobile odin log I got.
But now the phone is unusable, wrong kernel or ramdisk I don't know (touchscreen problem)
Has anyone made progress with this? This phone is hurtin' and needs root...if not then a hammer...
What version of android does this device run? If you are running ICS you can give http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2066041 a shot. Please also let me know, so I can add the device to the supported list, if it works.
well I ran two different versions Polaroid all in one 1.6 and 2.0 and they both seem to work fine with loading up and recognizing the phone however 2.0 said the phone was already rooted when it wasn't, there wasn't much I could do as seen in the screen shot below

I then tried 1.6 and that loaded up as well and asked if I wanted to root or root with google apps and framework so I choose just root it and it asked me to restore and rebooted just fine and said I wasn't rooted, so I'm a little confused. another screen shot below
also I should note that I am a complete idiot when it comes to this stuff, so I may have done something wrong or missed something

Thanks for the tip! I tried it out but I got stuck at the waiting for phone to connect part. I'm sure I could get further, but I've lost all patience for this handset.
Rather than pull my hair out trying to fix this broken out of the box value phone, I returned it to the store for something a little more user (and battery) friendly.
Great can you upload a dump somewhere please, I bricked mine trying many ways and there are no stock rom anywhere.

It's great to hear that you have rooted successfully the SGH-S730M. For me, I have bricked mine. It is appreciated if your can share the boot, recovery and partition image of your phone to us so that we can repair the brick.
It is fairly easy to backup your ROM:
1. Download and install ROM Manager from Google Play (the free version works great).
2. Run the program and click on "Backup Current ROM" and click OK - remember to have your external Sdcard inserted to have more space for the backup. By default the file name of the backup which will be created is your current date.
3. Look for the folder "clockworkmod" in the sdcard, in there you will find the folder backup, then in that folder you see a sub-folder with all backup files.
For me, I need the file "recovery.img" so that I can restore my blicked recovery of my Galaxy Discover.
Looking forward to hear from you the soonest.
Pls mail me the file to [email protected] or give the link so that I can download
Thank you in advance.

Sorry, folks. Been working on it for almost 6 hours with both romdump and ROM Manager. ROM manager cannot backup because "phone is unsupported". With romdump I am having "segmentation fault".
If you guys have anymore ideas please throw them in.
BTW, that unlock-root worked and it is very simple.
Hello guys, im a new user to android, moved from IOS and bought the Note 2.
it is 3 months old and the previous owner said he made no changes to it what so ever, the rom version is "N7100XXDLK7 N7100PRTDLK5 - Download - Poland (Play)"
i dont know how to check if its rooted or not but it should be stock just like out of the box.
so my problem is this, the phone works 100% fine but sometime when i open the camera it goes to the camera screen. with buttons and everything but in the square where you should see the picture you see pitch black. nothing.
then the phone stuck for like 5 secs, goes to home screen and shows a massage "unfortunately camera has stopped working", then if ill go and open the camera again it works 100% ok.
this also happens with 3rd side applications that uses the camera like "camera zoom fx" and so.
heres the picture of the screen in the camera mode

First of all your device running on old ROM which have SDS brick bug, and can be brick any time without any reason
So i reommend to update to latest version, this also should fix issue
On existing ROM, meantime try
setting - appl manager-All - camera - clear data
Here you can find latest ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1896696
unfortunetely there is no update for your carrier (poland - play), but you can flash any other like poland unbranded

"N7100XXDMA6 N7100OJKDMA3 - Download - Israel
N7100XXDMA6 N7100OJKDMA3 - Download - Israel (Orange/Partner)"
is there any difference?
thanks!
go with
"N7100XXDMA6 N7100OJKDMA3 - Download - Israel
bcoz below said ROM is carrier specific (orange/Partner) and may have some carrier bloatware
N7100XXDMA6 N7100OJKDMA3 - Download - Israel (Orange/Partner)"
I had the problem too just dont worry its a stupid app juat uninstall transparent screen, crack screen etc. Or any other suspecious app download an anti virus software too. And then restart phone BINGO!!!

after installing the new rom does all of my info/apps are gone? the device will be cleaned? or would my apps and info be saved?
also, should i delete some things from the phone before burning a new rom? thank!
Nothing required to remove before flashing
If everything go smoothly, you will losse nothing
But sometime after flashing you may get bootloop, or stuck at samsung logo.
in case of such circumstances you need to reboot to recovery (vol up+home+power)
and have to wipe cache and wipe data, and doing so, you will lose all data on device as well on int SD memory
So i recommend to backup important data before flashing.

I only faced a problem when I try to open the gallery from the Camera it says that ""camera has stopped working"
Maybe because it uses the Gallery which is not included in your ROM.

T-Mobile’s Samsung Galaxy S2 (SGH-T989) official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean has finally arrive! The firmware build number is “T989UVMC6″ this software is now spotted on Samsung Kies firmware server, and might to roll out starting now through OTA and Kies. For those who currently runs with custom ROM and or rooted devices and for those who can’t wait much longer to try this out, you can manually upgrade your Galaxy S2 to official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean using the official build T989UVMC6 from the source below.
Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Features
•Google Now
•Smart Stay
•Direct call
•Pop-up Play
•Nature UX Touchwiz
•A lot better hardware performance such as camera etc.
Install Stock T989UVMC6 Android 4.1.2 JB Firmware on Samsung Galaxy S 2 SGH-T989
This method is called manual flashing by using Odin downloader and the original stock firmware, for we can’t upgrade on kies or OTA anymore after installing unofficial firmware on our devices previously.
Disclaimer: We shall not be held responsible if anything happens to your device by following this guide. Proceed at your own risk. This procedure is for advance users only, typical users may only upgrade only thru Kies or via OTA and may not use this method.
Important!
- Back up all important files before proceeding. Although the Internal memory and microSD card are both left alone during after the flash process for this firmware is a non wipe version. But all your settings and configuration will all be reset. So, be sure to have a back up all of it for safety.
- If your device currently runs with any custom ROM, you may ask any assistance first from your ROM developer on how to safely return back to official stock to get rid of any issues.
- Fully recharge your phone’s battery.
- Use Windows-based OSX PC/laptop, Odin will not work on MAC OSX
ODIN http://hotfile.com/dl/161620048/6c6d559/Odin3_v3.07.rar.html
USB DRIVER https://hotfile.com/dl/169667640/bd9c4fe/T-Mobile_SGH-T989_SGSII_Driver.zip.html
Grab the original T989UVMC6 stock ROM:
http://www.hotfile.com/dl/202091699/c92decf/T989UVMC6_T989TMBMC6_TMB.zip.html
1) “Extract” or “unzip” the downloaded stock ROM to get the .tar.md5 file.
2) Run Odin3_v3.07.exe on PC desktop
3) In Odin - DO NOT CHECK the RE-PARTITION check box, only both ‘Auto Reboot’ and ‘F-Reset’ left checked.
4) Click on the PDA button then browse to the folder where you extracted the stock ROM “tar file”
‘T989UVMC6_T989TMB_T989UVMC6_HOME.tar.md5′
5. Reboot the phone in download mode
5) Once the phone in download mode screen, connect the PC USB cable To Phone. In Odin, the ID:COM box will change its color and its an indication that the device is connected properly to PC. If you still do not get any results, try another USB port on your computer.
6) Click the Start button to begin flashing.
7) Wait until it finishes or watch out for the word “PASS”.
Once the phone completely reboots, perform wipe/factory reset to get a fresher firmware installation.
1. Hold Power and Volume Up together, this will switch the device into recovery mode.
2. Release Power after holding it for a second but continue to hold the Volume Up button until recovery menu appears.
Select wipe cache
Select wipe data/factory reset.
Select reboot
That’s all! your Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989 now fully installed or restored to the original Android 4.1.2 Jelly bean

Does this have WiFi Calling and WiFi/ Bluetooth Tethering? I've been dying for a JB ROM that has WiFi Calling and wouldn't mind going to a stock build to get it.
I'm actually tempted to use this phone again as my main.
Biggest reason.... Camera.
My Nexus 4 is nice but when I did a comparison and how it performs in low light, it blows the N4 out of the water.
Sad....

you need to wait for base band and radio for your phone. Coming soon
Hi everyone,
I wouldn't really call myself a developer, but I am part of a team of developers (well was - we have all got so busy in life at the moment so Android developments have slowed down a fair bit) anyway I am not currently employed so I have been doing a fair amount of phone work for a local Phone repair shop here on the Gold Coast. I met the guy when I went in to my friends computer store to get PC parts and this guy's phone store conjoins. Anyway I made mention that I can fix software on Android devices. He said that he didn't do software, my reaction was "So what you just let all that business walk out the door then?" he laughed "I suppose so". Anyway one thing lead to another and i had a phone I needed to try unlock. I wasn't actually successful with that one, but I did manage to revive the corrupt IMEI and he seemed pretty impressed by that. I got a call saying he had a Galaxy Tab for me to try get working again. So here I am
Initially I DID get it running (only for a while) on stock Gingerbread from the Restock Overcome ROM thread here, so a big thanks to @AdamOutler, @priyana, @Alterbridge86 and @ApriliaM3 for their ongoing efforts to date with supporting the P1000 TAB.
So why am I uploading a new Re-Stock? What's all this about?
Tell tell you the truth plain and simply the well known and famous "GB_Stock_Safe_v5.tar" did not work for me. I was not satisfied that this was a hardware fault either, something was telling me there was some underlying issue that had not been dealt with. Most other people, simply flash gt-p1000_mr.pit, GB_Stock_Safe_v5.tar, and JK3 Modem and they are good to go. For me I had the most unstable device I had ever worked with. Random reboots. Constant bootloops, in among every 10 reboots occasionally I reached the homescreen :victory: if I was lucky I could maybe open an app or two and apply some settings but soon as the screen locked or I left the tab for any length of time I came back to a revolving boot screen If you want to know if this is you and if what I went through is what you are experiencing then read more here >>> Tab reboots before BML/MTD can even get started. P1_add_hidden.pit
P1_add_hidden.pit came from the stock Australian Optus Firmware P1000XWJU6_P1000OPSJU3_P1000XXJR2_HOME.tar.md5
Oddly enough this firmware DID NOT work on this Tab? The Restock base was as close as I got and it was ridiculous and unusable.
Each time I flashed this firmware ^^^ with Odin the Tab would switch off as it was applying cache or hidden and then was Bricked. Luckly Adam developed Heimdall OneClick Unbrick. I would say in the last week I have easily bricked this Tab maybe 30 or 40 times, I was determined to not let this beat me. There had to be an answer?
I pulled apart the firmwares and pretty much went with my gut instincts. Here is the run down:

The PIT
The difference between P1_add_hidden.pit and gt-p1000_mr.pit have hidden and cache partitions switched as far as I can see? Naturally in the Optus firmware the Hidden partition is just oversized and most likely full of bloat/[email protected] in other words. I included the P1 pit in the firmware build because it was in the original. I am not sure of this does anything extra, but figured it can't hurt anyway (even though people are freaked out about pit files) seeming we re-partition when Re-stocking GB anyway.
dbdata
I knew that dbdata is important especially if we have oblitorated the data partition and made a fair mess of everything. I think this is the most importance file besides the pit when we need to return to stock.
movinand
Movinand was included because when I inspected the P1 pit it had an allocation for it. There was maybe a chance that when not all partitions in the structure are written to I could provide a weekness or void for data to "overflow" so to speak. I think of partitions like dividers in fishtanks as an analogy.I bred fish and I know what happens to the structure of large tanks with partitions if adjacent tanks are filled and one left empty; it creates weakness. Anyway I decided to fill it, at least for the flashing part where data and structure are being formed by bytes of information.
cache
cache I decided to go with the larger stock firmware mainly because I think part of the issue with the Tab its self is a lack of cache (causing the instability first noted).
hidden
Need I say more? Look at the size of the stock Aust firmware
modem.bin, ZImage, boot.bin, factory.rfs
I spose I chose to stick with stock so that if that was where the tablet was staying that it looked as though it had matching firmware when looking in 'About divice' and the modem for connection specific to the carrier and region, nothing more than that really.
param.lfs
Now this part I wasn't sure about? Maybe I should have gone with the smaller one? I don't know.....they were not worlds apart in difference anyway, and really by that stage I just wanted to flash the darn thing and see if it worked!
Result. 100% smooth boot. Device rebuilt dalvik in a reasonable time (I weigh it up close to the specs on my Galaxy S1); a few force closes when reaching the home screen but they are kind of expected considering the device age and specs. Within about 15 min and 1 reboot into recovery to "re-fix permissions" (which seemed to stabilise it for some reason?) and then no more force closes, device operated perfectly! Smooth, no glitches no random reboots. Man I was sooooo happy!!!:victory:
As per the instructions I went on to faultlessly perform the upgrade to Overcome Kernel, CM9 (BML/MTD), it rebooted once as expected to change kernel and recovery, then continued all the way through to completion. I then remounted the partitions (wow this seems to be a really big issue with the P1000 doesn't it? Why is it that nearly every boot into recovery leads to half or more partitions left unmounted? - Note it doesn't boot unless you mount the damn things!) anyway I cleared caches(note clearing caches happened far too fast so that is how I noticed the partitions were not mounted), factory reset and reset permissions! (THIS PART IS IMPORTANT ON THE P1000!!!)
I rebooted; it took several reboots and rebuilding of the dalvik caches before it would reach the home screen. I think something like 28 apps got split up into about 3 or 4 reboots (which did it's self) and I was worried again that I had another unstable device, but figured it was a bit uneasy on her feet in GB, and maybe JB was similar....so I rebooted, fixed permissions again and rebooted. Sure enough perfect!! Device is still running faultlessly. I will proceed to theme it, and add a few "nice touches" before it is returned to the owner tomorrow.
To fill in the blanks of the story when I got given the Tab I could see someone had messed with it already. When I told the guy initially the next day that I got it working albeit rather unstable though his reaction was priceless! He goes "You what? You got it going? How the f#*% did you manage that? Man 5 different phone shops have looked at that and probably at least another 5 other tech geeks that all know a fair bit about phones & tablets. None of them got it to work!" he continued "Do you know that thing has not been touched for at least a year and half!"
So it was a big test really. I didn't know this till about an hour ago when he saw that I had it all running:laugh::laugh::laugh: Guess I passed then eh?

If I flash on my Gt-P1000, everything is OK?
Great job!
This rom saved my tab! The other old rom's all had missing parts (dbdata...) but this one is completely usable. Thanks!
Thank you so much!
Best regard!
I have a Sprint SPH-L710 running stock rooted 4.1.2 with the MD4 build. I haven't bothered keeping up with the latest-and-greatest, but I know I'm several Android releases behind. Last I was following it, there were some issues with 5.x and being able to root it, and I got wrapped up in some work stuff for a while and didn't keep up.
So, can someone please point me towards the best direction to get the latest-and-greatest updates from here? It's started freezing-up on me, a few times a week, so I need to wipe everything and start clean anyways. I'm happy using TouchWiz, just want to get current again. Can someone point me down the best path to get there? I'm not sure if I should return to stock, let the carrier updates load, and then re-root, or if I should just flash the latest ROM with what I've got?
(I know about enough to be dangerous, but I'm a mechanical engineer by trade, so type slowly and use small words please... )
Thanks!

I noticed this in the instructions:
Requirement: You must already be on ND8/NJ2 or the equivalent like NDC (KitKat firmware, AOSP doesn't count)(or at least have flashed the tar/OTA)

Odin this- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3007847
My ROMs: Wicked X & Wicked S5 Xperience
I did the NJ2 update per your link, and now I'm stuck in a boot-loop... Samsung title--> Samsung swirl--> Sprint splash page--> reboot... Does that twice, then hangs on the Samsung title page indefinitely.
Odin says everything installed successfully, but no-go... Going to try and return to MD4... Got my fingers crossed...
Update: Can't go anywhere... I booted into ClockWorkMod recovery in an attempt to go back, but I can't figure out where I saved my backup. Not a happy camper right now. On the plus side, it's not bricked. On the minus side, it won't boot, so it may as well be. I'm trying to flash another ROM, but not having any luck... It's gonna be a late night I guess...
ETA: Update: Got it to start loading MD4... (I guess it helps if you stop panicking and select the right file from the SD card LOL!) It says it installed successfully, but now I get nothing...
Literally nothing... The power button does nothing whatsoever. (and yes, I put the battery in the right way...) If I plug in the USB cable, my Found New Hardware wizard pops up on the computer, but I get no response from the phone... I think I bricked it...

Try wiping your internal SD and then Odin NJ2 again. If you can't do that, there are a few guides on debricking in General and Q&A sections as long as you have an SD Card and a PC, you should be able to save it.

I can't do anything with it... The phone won't power-up at all in any way, shape, or form.

Reading through that one now... Not sure if it's going to work as I am completely clueless when it comes to Linux... I know a couple people who may be able to help me though. If nothing else, I'm ready to upgrade to a GS5 and I can futz with this later on and use it for some fun stuff...

There's like two or three other guides, I think that one is the most recent though.

All the links loop back to that one... They may have been merged. If it involves Linux, I'm out... Completely clueless on that front.
