Any way to flash this without using odin on an already rooted phone running StarburstROM?

Is this a kernal by itself? Or is it a kernal and rom together?

Great to see you guys come over from the Xoom! Love your work. This may actually get me to try this out over Xedomax 6.02.

Just a kernel. I flashed this over Calkulin's rom and this is my new favorite kernel for this phone. All seems well so far, and I look forward to further development!

I have this zipped up and Flashable in CW. I'll post it here, so long as the op doesn't mind. Very nice kernel so far.
Thanks for the hard work

good looking, love the stability of stock, add in your streamlined recovery, its AG!
When you say stock.. are you saying "source" or "pulled" ? Huge difference as far as LoS is concerned.

For now, CWM is built into the kernel. If the ROM includes a kernel, you will overwrite whatever version of CWM you previously had.
thanks! flash this when i get home

You can flash from internal. No backup/restore to internal until we go to CWM base of 5.0.2.7, which were working on.
Can this be overclocked , and what profiles are available?
If I was to use ROM Manager to flash the latest version of CWM over this, would I be able to backup and flash to internal?

Does anyone know if there's a way to change the governer to conservative without removing support for calks battery script? I'll try ondemand for a while, but found I generally like conservative more

Yes you can Frequencies will change will battery levels, however, it will stick with the ondemand gov.
And no to sound like a complete newb, but what is the benefit/advantage of updating to this new 1.1.1 over my current "Rogue_E4T-Stock-1.1.cwr" ?

Thanks, just flashed..will let you know how it goes
Thank you for the quick update!
Just to be clear, this version does not include over/underclocking or voltage control features. Am I correct?
Anyone having issues with this kernel and Tegrak? I've been having issues where my phone will not wake.
Installed on top of calks 1.5 everything's running really smooth thanks SteadyH
Just to make sure: this does not include the EK02 modem, right?
Sorry, I'm new here.

Very likely a combination but mostly the radio which is why LOSt kernel only fixed LOS to such a degree.
Where did this *stock 2.3.6* setup come from? How did they get it? Was there a phone released with it and they pulled it?

-When phone begins reboot, Hold Power + Volume up until boots into recovery.
-Wipe Data/Factory, Cache, Dalvik.
-Flash ROM
-Wipe Cache and Dalvik again
-Flash Kernel

Back up and Restore
To back up
-Odin EL26 kernel
-Hold Power + Volume Up when Galaxy SII boot logo comes up to boot into Recovery

*If you are restoring a nandroid that you backed up via the above process, you will need to wipe cache and dalvik, then flash an AOSP ICS kernel or the ROM wont boot because it is backed up with the EL26 kernel. Then reboot.
*If you are restoring a Gingerbread ROM, just restore and reboot.
Workaround for sd_external [Thank You kbizzle & gershee]
Instructions:
1. DirectoryBind included in the ROM, Found Here.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410262
2. Set up the source and target directories as follows...
source: /emmc target: /sdcard/external_sd
Then save.
3. Click on the little floppy disk on the left of the field you just added, it should turn green. this enables it!
4. Goto preferences and enable "Bind on boot"
Now Look for emmc Folder and you will find you external_sd.
*Workaround to mount both SD locations on your PC. Use Multi Mount from the Play store.*

Sweet! do you know if a source built kernel fixes the issue where we can't install certain apps without unmounting the SDcard?

Haven't try that yet but there is another permanent (almost) workaround that problem.
If you can't install apps to sd just flash stock kernel with mobile odin boot to system and flash kernel with custom recovery via mobile odin as well.
You will be able to move apps to sd and install apps to sd till next flash.
Edit: Just successfully downloaded wheres my water. No problems.
Moved couple of apps to sd - no problems.
As usual you can only move apps that have "move to sd" buttom active and not grayed out.
VERY NICE! Thanks Agat and Chris41g.
One question. I read on another post that Chris had said that we could not flash modems. But wasn't sure if he was talking about your last FF18 kernel or something else.
Will this kernel allow flashing modems? I mean it should shouldn't it.
Great work Agat & Chris!!
Thank you!

so I can flash between GB and ICS with no problems now!?
"If you find problems please let me know and I'll try to fix them."
Not a problem anymore, but thought I'd say.... Flashed with Mobile Odin. Started right back up. Updated Profile and PRL, then got stuck on boot animation; roadrunner on Goodness. Did usual to get into your new recovery, reboot system, very fast startup. No problem for me and running great since, like I said, just feedback. Thanks a ton to you and Chris; everyday, a new phone.
Flashed thru mobile Odin and f/c's

Here you can find just about every kernel released for the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
If you are looking for modems you can find them at the Modem Repo.
Kernels control a lot of things on your phone and having the right kernel can lead to phenomenal battery life, awesome performance and great tweaks. However, if you get the wrong kernel it can cause boot loops and other issues.
As a general reminder, I cannot and will not be held responsible for any issues that arise from improper flashing of these kernels.
Now on to the fun stuff!
Let me first say I did not create any of these kernels I am merely taking them all and placing them all in one easy to find location. All thanks should go to those who have been anonymously giving us the leaks on which they are built and to those who have been developing them.
Please do not post direct links to the kernels on the site. All kernels are available through the links on this post. Thank you!

Once again, I am not the developer of any of these kernels and I don't want to take the credit for them. I'm just putting them here in one place for the community's benefit.
Thanks goes to (in no particular order): SexTape, Garwynn, Sleshepic, Kejar31, AndreiLux, Agat63, sfhub, and all of our other awesome developers and contributors! Thank you for all the hard work you do for our community!
If there's anyone I've missed send me a PM and they will be added!
Thanks and good luck!

What about AOSP kernels?
Just finished adding Garwynn's Community Kernel, Sleshepic's The Governor Kernel and Kejar31's AOSP BasicKernel!!!
So far they are mostly just in ZIP formats but when I have some time tonight or tomorrow I will get them in TAR and One-Click formats for everyone.
Enjoy!

Sorry for the stupid question but what is the one click format? I know how to flash with ZIP and. TAR formats but could you explain the one click?
Also, nice job putting this all together. This is how good communities roll.

The One-Click is basically the same as flashing a TAR through Odin but rather than having to load the TAR to the correct slot, checking the right boxes and loading the PIT it does it all for you in one easy click. You plug in your phone, press start and you're flashing.
