The best font! (For me)
This font is good that the size and the brevity of letters allows you to see the hidden text.
If the text is too long, then this font does it in two lines.
How to install:
1. Download and Unzip the two font, throw on a SDcard.
2. Open Root Explorer and we find our two font.
3. Keep for a long time on the first file and in an open tab, select copy
Choose the directory : /system/font press "paste", agree on a replacement (Include in the upper left corner of the mount r/o)
(the same thing we do with the second file)
{

}
Then for a long time have on the updated first file and in the results tab, click "permissions", putting correctly jackdaws.
(the same thing we do with the second file)
4. Close "Root Explorer" and reboot the machine!
All the end of the!!!

There is a simple way (with the help of WinRAR) to get this font directly in any of the downloaded firmware. (old font delete from the firmware)
Then install this firmware with a new font, glitches will not!
This way I tested it on several phones : HTC HD2, HTC DesireHD, Samsung Galaxy ACE and now Samsung Galaxy SII
Suggestion, BACKUP your Font folder first, also you can menu, multi select then copy and paste both files in one go.
Nice compressed font thanks

do you mind uploading the sony sketch font?

Just use Font Changer - a free app from market, does font-changing on the go, plus automatic backups.
whats galaxy s2 default font?
i tried font installer to install sony sketch, like it very much but it looks weird when mixed with chinese which i also read, ended up finding out that app replaced the default font
btw i used fontimizer sp as well it adds fonts instead of replacing default one, but it has less choices

Nice m8. Works great.
Edit: Noticed that I still have the text for swiping the screen. Did you remove only english text because mine is in finnish?
What is the name of the file you have edited to remove the wordings?

For English, it's under res\values\strings.xml
Do a search in the file for zzz_glass_lock_help_text_2
You can also find other strings.xml files for various languages in other values folders (e.g. values-es)

As JPO and JPA seem to be mostly different in localization I would take a wild guess and say yes.
You better prepare an update.zip with your vanilla framework though better safe than sorry.

Can't see any difference to standard font?!
Yes, the same as default one, no difference.
I also installed and saw no difference after activating it on settings / display ...
I'm on Samsung Galaxy S II / android 2.3.5
Well, From my point of view, its more or less same ... I also feel the same as default...however, its slightly different.
Changing the font in the settings does not work.
---------- Post added at 06:31 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:21 AM ----------
Either it doesn't work or it looks exactly the same as the standard font.
if i am not mistaken you actually need to have a rooted phone in order to use this.
As the fonts are stored in the System, they are not accesible by the apk directly.
I dont believe that it will work with any stock Rom.
But someone with higher knowledge might shed some more light into this if i am wrong.
thanks,do you can add other fonts??

I only managed to get the font working via CWM (it actually replaces droidsans).

Saint's Color Editor v1.1
I developed this tool to easily edit android colors in decompiled xml files. I'm sharing it here to help other themers because personally I found changing colors in xml files as the most painful part of theming.

How to install and use?
Pretty simple..
- Unzip ColorEditor.exe anywhere you like and run..
- You must have Microsoft .NET Framework 4 installed on your pc
- Open any android xml file that contains colors
- Click on colors you want to change and choose alternate color from the color dialog that pops up (the app will automatically identify the hex code)
- When you are done, hit File/Save or Saveas..... as simple as that

Very good tool definately makes changing colors easy. One question is do you use this to change the colors.xml from framework res cause i seem to just get boot loops whenever changing a couple of colours in that file even if just copy the resources file to a working framework res still get a bootloop. Not sure what to try. I only change the clock and secondary text colour. Any help would be great.
Thanks

Yes, I use this a lot to change colors.xml and no I never had boot loops. Boot loops cannot be due to changing colors. It could be due to the way you compile the apk's. For system apk's try not to flash signed apk's. I used to get boot loops when I sign system apk's. Flash only unsigned system apk's. Hope this helps...

Hi all, I'm chungviet, I come with Android S2 T989 after goodby-ed Symbian some days ago. Before, i've modified TTF Fonts for Symbian. I would love to use them on my new Android, also wanna share for You all. You can find out many many fonts on web, however those many fonts are not fully supported some of characters & more languages,... That's reason i modified them to use on phone, my fonts were added many Special Logos, symbols,.. as you see images below. If u wanna make a difference for ur Android, use them. These fonts were made for Symbian, but Android can be used also, bcz it's *.TTF files same.
Ok, Here's some previews of my fonts. Sorry don't make all previews of fonts collection, about 100+ Fonts

How to build apps icon pack:
Things you require:
-Base VRTheme-Here!(Don't worry there are no trojans)
-Some icons-Here are my AOSP icons.
-Required apps from the ROM which you want to modify.
-Notepad++ for changing updater-script.
-Any resizing tool.
-A brain to avoid mistakes and bother me with stupid questions.
-Kindness to press the THANKS button below.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Steps:
1. Download all the things required.
2. Open your ROM and copy all the apps and move them to a seperate folder. Here we will take only 3 apps-Browser, Messaging and Calculator.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
3. Now extract these apps using 7zip or winrar.
4. Now open the app folder, go to res and find the location where the icon of the app is present. These are generally present in mipmap-xhdpi or drawable-xhdpi. For e.g. in Browser app it's present in mipmap-xhdpi named as ic_launcher_browser.png:
5. Now extract the VRTheme base folder and go to vrtheme->system->app and make a new folder their with named as appname.apk(Here appname refers to the name of the app). For e.g. Browser.apk in my case.
6. Now make res folder in it. And under res folder make another folder which contains app icon. For e.g res->mipmap-xhdpi in my case:
7. Now place your modified icon in it and rename it to the original icon name. For e.g. ic_launcher_browser.png in my case. And resize it to 96X96. Please do not resize mdpi or hdpi icons or else they will pixelize and blur.
8. Do the same for other apps. In my case calculator and messaging.
9. Now give this icon pack your name. Go to META-INF->com->google->android and open updater-script with notepad++ and in second line replace alokbina with your name. You can practically change almost everything under ui_print in updater-script but remember that it should be in the format ui_print("ABCD"); . Here replace ABCD with whatever you like.
10. Now you will be having 4 folders- data, META-INF, system, vrtheme and an image named as preview. Zip all these and rename it whatever you like and flash it with CWM and you're done! Enjoy your own icon pack Feel free to THANK me :laugh:
