WM6.1 Predictive Text

Is there any way to turn off the predictive text thing?
It is mad annoying and always puts words I dont want.
Also, some of the symbols are mixed up. For example, when I hold down the M key trying to type a !, it puts =, and i have to press Q which should be %.
Anyone else have these problems?

you have two different problems
1) hit alt and space.. and just turn off the predictive
2) download the new eT9 from my signature and copy to your phone and install the cab and that will fix your keyboard
Thanks!
Both of those worked and I also hit up your Vista steez start button.
Looks good!

very annoying feature that i wish to turn off

when i'm in a text message with the keyboard closed and i decide to reply to the message and open the keyboard, the message screen rotates and the dial screen appears. no matter what i do this happens. is there a fix 4 this?
never happened on mine before.
The screen rotation is intentional. Perhaps you're accidentally hitting the "call" button when you extend the keyboard? I tend to hit the volume control myself - that, or I end up pressing the screen somewhere.
Seems to work
shasarak i think your advice worked. I found a new way to open and close plus i reset. Now i just need to find a solution to the spontaneous and occasional shut down.
Realized that the shut down happens when i close the screen over the keyboard to hard. another little surprise.

Swype stopped working

Swype had been working for me for a long time. Now, when I type the keys get pressed and the screen vibrates, but no text is inputed. If i restart the phone, it will work for like half a sentence and then stop again. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
does it work if you just press the letters, one by one? also does it not input text when you try and swype?
if these are true, your swype is expired.
expired, is there a way to fix?

Problems with physical qwerty keyboard

It happens to me every now and then. When you hold down the search button and hit certain keys it acts like a shortcut. Search + g = gmail. I don't have to restart the phone, just hit the search button to clear up the stuck key/input. Also I think you can disable these shortcuts in the settings menu.

[Q] Touchscreen Keyboard Issue

Every so often, the touchscreen is way off when I am typing meaning that when I press a key, it thinks I am pressing the screen nearly an inch to the left. So if i press delete, it presses space bar. If i try to push P it registers G on the keypad. The only way to fix it is to restart. It is usually fine for a while, sometimes days, before it happens again. I am using the stock LG Keyboard. Just didnt know if anyone else has run into this issue or how to get to stop happening.
