Silver Speaker MOD Proof! Your Welcome! Happy New Year

Alright for everyone that wondered and to prove I'm a man of my word plus I cant develop too well I thought I'd give back to the community so here it is and enjoy!
Steps: just scratch the hell outta your speaker. I used an old hinting knife. No I don't hunt I live in the suburbs of DC.
Credit to xSaint who has a thread here so I knew about this.
Well that's it I hope I have given something to the community that I can be recognized for haha jk but it does look pretty bad ass! Will put my pics up in a minute my I didn't know i couldn't upload them from my phone.
EDIT: see third post for pics! and thanks to the devs for all your hard work in making these phones worth keeping forever!

YeH. We did this on the mesmerize GS and it did look pretty cool. It gives a little contrast to the upper part of the phone.

OMG your poor phone. Maybe a using a razor would have made it come out looking clean? You can. Always take black nail polis and make it black again. Or hobby model paint...
And you DEFINATELY gave something back to the XDA community to remember you buy. Its ok man. I slaughtered my HTC Evo 4g also. We all make mistakes. Ill take a picture and upload it to take the heat off you

Here is my Evo 4g that i took a razor blade to the corners and scratched all the black off so the red undercoating was visible. Oh i didnt have any place to take the photo in my room so i just took it on my girlfriend who was too busy watching senior citizen flash mod you tube video's on her GSII to even notice lol

Well if you guys live around northern va shoot me a PM. I'm a tech for sprint so I can change the housing or anything on your phone if need it. I guess a lot of people got offended by my post of this but I'm glad there's still people out there that aren't all about bashing. Opinions opinions

Well i personally think its awesome you did it. Like i said i went for the leap my self and razored my evo. From about 5ft away it looks awesome, but up close you could see it was not lookin so hot. What i was trying to say about the paint is you can go around the edges with the nail pollish or hobby paint and tiuch it up EVER so slightly and it would take out the MINOR defects. Idk back in the day mt dad did model cars and stuff. Seems like kids and younge adults these days dont physically mod things so much. I love doing so though. You only live once right? Besides we alk get the latest and greatest phones to start fresh with every year or 2. Cruckus man, i may just bust out my shinny new razor soon and give it a shot. The idea is sweet brother

Not to be rude, but is this really your definition of an "awesome look"?:
I mean, this looks like something a kid would do to his phone when he was bored in d-hall or something.
If someone did THAT to my phone, we would definitely be "going outside" to settle things, know what I mean?

To each his own I guess ... I like the way it did mine .. not a scratch anywhere on the glass took me an hour with a razor blade and some scotch tape

I think it looks pretty cool from far away when using my phone normally it doesn't look bad its when you get real close but who stares into an earpiece? It's like people who buy ripped jeans some think its dumb others think it looks cool. I also said I did it with an old hunting knife because I don't have a razor blade. I'm sure someone can do it better then me.

Just a note, its surrounded by Gorilla Glass, so unless you're really wrenching on the blade this isn't too intensive of a project.

Some people just don't care about all that stuff. They just want the thing their friends have, or the phone that everyone has. Ohh the Iphone has 3G, a 3 inch screen, and everytime I plug it up to my computer iTunes freaks out and a million pop ups appear. Yeah it looks great, I'll take 3 of them..... But its their lost. I love my MacBook though. The Lion OSX makes Windows OS look like ****. Well any OS makes Windows OS look like ****. Definitely just went on a 3AM rant.... Well goodnight!

My wife told someone at work she was getting a new phone and someone asked, what are you getting an iPhone. She was like no way, my husband won't let me and says they suck. Then another person who has one was like, no it doesn't everyone has one...
Yup, there you go folks that proves it all! iPhones are awesome because everyone has one! I am glad we got that settled.
Anyway, she got the HTC Rezound for Verizon. Believe it or not the screen is actually pretty beautiful on that thing. That device is what the EVO 3D should have been.
I would also be curious to see how many E4GT's sold just for Sprint.

My wife got an iPhone 4S the same time i got the samsung Epic Touch 4G and dont get me wrong. The iPhone is a nice device. But Siri sucks. I laughed at my wife yesterday. She tried using siri to navigate to walmart. It kept denying her. Lol. I opened up voice search and said the exact same thing my wife asked Siri and guess what. IT WORKED PERFECT. My wife was pissed. I told her Thats what you iSheep get. Come to find out siri is still beta testing. Lol. Thats something they fail to say on there iSuck Commerials. Lmao. God i love Android.

Why is this thread a big circle jerk about how much apple's phones suck? I thought this was about how the GS2 is awesome. Not that I like the iPhone or Apple at ALL, because I do not.

Yup, was just about to reply to what you. haha but they have these kind of watches already. They sell a lot on eBay and some are good. Its just Bluetooth paired so you don't have to take out your phone. Makes you look like inspector gadget. Plus, I think thinkgeek.com has some too. I like the shirt that lets you know when wifi is near and how strong of signal.

Every shipping date they've previously stated has been missed. Although they seem to be quite insistent that they will start shipping "soon". They haven't told any personal customers any actual shipping dates. But Expansys seem to think that they'll be able to sell some from mid-April.
I wouldn't hold your breath.

Maybe before you give other people punctuation lessons, you should learn to spell. ANYHOW is one word.....just saying.

The site was updated this april and the price is now 340 € from where it was 300€ before too mich expensive. But the problem isno body had recieved yet. They promise to send the watches a year ago..

I saw a preview of this watch and OS looks sluggish with android 1.6...2.3 would of been better. The Motorola ACTV watch looked way smoother, and it's rooted already i think lol..

Couldn't this be easily accomplished with apps on the iphone and, say, an ipod nano?

the Motorola ACTV smartwatch is rly awesome.
its like a own smartphone-> right on ur arm
upto 16gb storage
Wifi, gps, bluetooth
600 mhz
a costum Android ROM and Root is availible.
GooglePlaystore and apps workin like a charm.
i even can play GTA 3 on it (thou its abit sluggish and a small screen ofc lol)

why would you do all that on a tiny ass screen? a watch is a watch and leave it at that.
you will always carry a phone anyway so all those things u do on your watch is irrelevant

ok so i was happy that i could print via bluetooth... but my wifes iphone couldnt..
but my wife is constantly looking for things to see if I can do it.. and 99.99999999% of the time it is YES and BETTER!!!
but this morning she found one... need help... cuz it would be nice to do too..
remember this is via phone.. maybe able to do it from computer.. but would like to do it from phone..
so get an email where someone embeded (pasted) in a section of an xls... with dates and times...
from her iphone.. she can click that and add to calendar.. (create event)...
i do not have any of that ability that I see ..... now im just using the default gmail mail software.... so is there a better mail app that you use that gives more features?
so far the stock gmail app has done what I need... but is there something better?

Maybe the regular mail app (not Gmail) will do what you want. I'm not sure if it does or not but worth a try

hah.. personally.. i dont like the iPhone 4s.. too much "Apple Proprietary" but the biggest thing to me....
that lil screen.. it is sooooo ummm HTC Mogul-ish.... and that is what i hated about my mogul...

With the WiFi issue, he probably had the Sprint Optimizer thing turned on, so it kept trying to use WiFi based on his location. Unless there is a real issue out there, anyone have this problem?

After typing this I realized I did a play-by-play of his review
Is the main complaint he has about this phone really a complaint? I mean he bought the phone knowing that there's no 4G LTE in his area, so how can it be a complaint if he knew this from the get-go? I bought this phone knowing that there isn't 4G LTE in my area so I, for one, don't complain about it.
I also like the build of the phone, I will agree though it does feel slick at times, like it will slip out of your hands like a wet soap bar! I too put a rubberized case on my phone to give it some more grip.
I agree with BWFBezerk, it's not a WiFI bug it's (ah hem, to say it like Apple).. it's a feature... this feature can be turned off without a problem, I disabled it on my phone...
12 to 15 hours battery life with heavy use, SWEET! I don't know what is considered heavy or light use, I use my phone about the whole time I'm at work from 8-5 and when I come home my battery is at 75%, I'm running Sonic FreeS3 0.1.1 and I must admit the battery life is insanely great.. I'm guessing his is stock ROM... I thought he said the battery life is definite "NO" not "GO" haha, my bad
SuperAMOLED is, in my opinion, the best screen ever... this is why I continue to get Samsung phones... from the Samsung Moment, to the Samsung Galaxy S II and now the Samsung Galaxy S III
As far as the speakers go, man I wish we had a front facing speaker for when viewing videos on the phone..
His case is sweet looking, my case has a kickstand on it too and it allows me to prop it up landscape and portrait
I'll have to agree with him, I really like the TouchWiz on this phone too... even thought I have a custom ROM on it, I only have that ROM on because it keeps the phone as stock as possible. One thing I didn't like about the stock TouchWiz though is the fact that the quicksetting automatically scrolled to the right.
Use the power button to get the recently used apps? Did he miss identify the button?
You know that 2 is more than 1, man I like this guy, he's doing a great review... I like how it's raw and uncut... real world as he says... no LINPack and all that...
I might have to hack my home button, I never use S-Voice anyway..

He has all the iPhones, I don't know if he'll review the iPhone 5. He said it's still too small for him. He only reviews phones he buys himself. Nobody sending the phones to him to review or anything. Check out the review he did for the iPhone 4s. There's 3 parts to that video.

I like dude's review style......but there is no "wifi bug" that I'm aware of.

No before the setting was discovered, it was mentioned in XDA that it was a bug. I had the same bug too when I got the device, then the reason for being as found.
