Greetings,
I've been having a problem with Go sms pro, for some reason while im typing a message my phone randomly restarts, It doesn't happen everytime but normally atleast once within an hour.
I tried re-flashing the stock sms app to see if that would solve the problem and it did. Used it for about a week and never seen the restarting problem again.
Now I've just put go sms pro back on and within 20mins it's started again.
Anyone else had this problem? or is it somethin else maybe that i'm missing?
For details about the phone
Android Revolution HD 6.1.5
Radio_12.62.60.27_26.13.04.19_M
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Had an issue with this when I flashed a new ROM today, all I did was delete the data and cache then rebooted and its been its normal superb self since
Ah didn't think of that. Will try it and see if it fixes the problem.
Thanks for the quick reply

I have an interesting problem, kind of. Bought my phone second hand as supposedly unlocked & debranded but on boot up it after the HTC logo I get the Virgin Media logo, not really an issue though. Anyway the problem is when I switch the phone off and then switch on again it boots up fine to the home screen and then it will reboot itself and carries on doing this. i.e. boot up to home screen then reboot again continuously.
To get out of this reboot loop I have to remove the sim & boot the phone with no sim in it then switch off and insert my normal Vodafone phone sim and switch on again. after that the phone is fine until I power down and then the same thing happens.
Anybody else experienced this or got any ideas?? It came with 1.15.405.4 firmware already installed and I have tried reflashing with the same firmware using the goldcard method & it worked but the problem remains. When the sim registers on the network is when the reboot loop seems to start.
did you try reflashing it ?
hold down the side button (down) and press on at the same time.
then select erase data and press on again
if you bought it second hand, its hard to say what the previous user has done with it ...
Yep tried reflashing it, just about to reflash again with an older rom. It's just wierd that a sim card authenticating to the network would cause a reboot loop.

Maybe it's a dumb question - But I'm having some issues that doesn't seem to get solved by a factory reset - Would it be an idea to reflash it for this, so the phone gets a fresh rom?
How would I do it specifically? Do you know of a guide somewhere?

have you tried a different sim card ?
Ye tried a different sim card, boots fine and all is good till you reboot the phone and then the same happens again. Anyways flashing was a disaster this time round as I was doing it on my work pc and Symantec kicked in thinking it found a virus with adb.exe and halted the process & quarrantined the file. Now everytime I try and reflash on a different PC I get the dreaded error(110):file open error. Disconnect the phone & all I get is a black screen & HTC logo. Nice. Thanks Symantec you've just bricked my Desire!!
*UPDATE* - Fixed.
Removed the battery, left it for a few hours then reflashed on a different pc and it flashed fine. Then thought I'd try & repeat so reflashed with the older rom from here (originally used the newer rom posted on Modaco) and got the error again and again couldn't flash back to the newer. Removed the battery left for an hour and then could reflash again and get it working!! Wierd
I had the same problem.
My Solution: remove battery, remove the SIM, put battery reboot, turnoff, remove battery, put SIM, put battery, boot
first i want to excuse my bad english, hope you will undestand what i´m trying to say.
i have the same problem since a few days.
first time i notice it,was when the desire was charching and i used it a bit,it restarts again and again.so i put out the battery and wait a few minutes, than it works.
it´s also, when i use it a long time with wifi or 3G....the the phone turns off and i have the boot loop.
but when i take out my sim,it works fine.
my question is,do i need a new sim or is it a hardware problem?
does anybody know?
greetz from germany!
sorry, wrong thread

i have the exact same problem!! any solution? after that the phone will boot loop over and over! damn!
I had the same problem last week.
I suspected it had to do with the EXT3 partition.
Solved it by first flashing the OTA 2.2 ROM (for rooted users) as this does not use the EXT3. Then used Rom manager to recreate the EXT3.
Now all ROMs that use the EXT3 run fine!
hmmp
as long as i know, i did not install anything on my phone lately so thats the problem so far and i think tequila98 also having the same problem as me, cause when i remove my sim card the phone works fine. but ive reset my phone yesterday and not restarting so far hope this will continue.
I really wished there was a dead fix to this problem we are all having!
My problem:
My phone was running fine until a few weeks ago. There was no rebooting problems when I first got my phone (April) and when I flashed my phone for the first time (May). Happened a few weeks ago when I was browsing on YouTube where my phone suddenly restarted on it's own.
Before it was once a couple of days, now it has gotten more frequent and annoying.
I don't think the heat is the problem because I don't go on the internet much because of my data plan. I use wifi when I browse the web, youtube, etc. And I certainly don't use Google maps or any heavy duty applications. That's just what I think...
My phone rebooted 3 times today in a time span of 4 hours? I noticed that my phone rebooted itself when I use the camera to take a picture or video. Doesn't happen everytime, but that's what happened today. Also, when my phone rebooted today, my application Advanced Task Killer was automatically removed from my phone! That was weird... But I experienced another reboot even after having the app removed.
I really hope someone can find the core of this problem and fix it!
My phone is running on DeFroST 2.0b Android 2.2
My battery stats: 42% for display, 26% for cell standby, 21% for phone idle, 4% for android system, 3% for voice calls, 2% for android OS

It's probably hardware problem with motherboard. Therefore I recommend you to take your phone to repair center and they should replace mobo with new one. That's what I did and now everything is ok.
I am having the exact same problem. Seems to be related to the SIM.
But the SIM works fine in another phone.
Did anyone find any more information?
If you get random reboots its most likely ther motherboard there is a massive thread about it on the forums. You need to send it off to a HTC repair centre.
Just got this problem.
I rooted yesterday. Today I made a nandroid backup. After that the phone is in a reboot loop.
How is this possible from just and backup???
Tnx.

Edit:
Restored backup and is working fine again.

I will try it. Maybe the backup is not only a backup but also a remove? Strange.
I will comment if this works also for me.
EDIT: Restore helps
Okay so the other night i went and decided to flash the UK 2.2 firmware specifically 3.4.2.155 then flashed Pay's ROM and it went well. Instantly fell in love with how smooth everything ran without blurr. However.. as everyone warned I lost 3G and Wifi Calling.... and I love those things.
Did the adb push of those 3G fix files for 6.19 T-Mobile that user rob_t put together...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=897445
However after rebooting i was simply stuck on moto logo... the wretched bootloop... and was forced to go back to US froyo...which after using Pay's rom just seemed unbearably slow...
Any reason that the 3G fix only seemed to bootloop me?
I really want Pay's ROM but I must have 3G
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=944258
try these fixes dude...
i using pays rom and 3g is normally working.

I finally got it working. These files were a big help since I didnt have to mess with adb myself.. (I suck at command script)
I am running jboogies ginger now... and its pretty awesome but no built in tether like Pay's rom....
Ill try it on for a week.
Thanks for pointing me in the right way again
If this thread is still open - can someone please help me. I am on Pays rom and used the zip patch, so I have data working. However, market works intermittently, and I get an error message with roughly half the data downloaded and have to keep pressing 'retry' to get everything loaded. Also, when downloading an app, the first time or even a few times, it downloads the data but doesn't initiate the install. After I click 'download' it goes back to the market screen (as usual), and I have to quickly open the link for the app that I'm downloading so it brings up the app homepage and then it will actually download/install.
Is this normal? I initially didn't wipe after flashing the rom per Pays instructions, and since have wiped and reinstalled the patch to see if that worked...but it hasn't and still doing the above.
Anyone have the same problem? Any fix? Thanks in advance for any help! Oh, and same for browser internet...keep getting error message. And I used the APN settings that is on wife's stock tmous defy.

Ended up getting it resolved with that baseband changer on here (v3.1 worked as v3.0 wasn't working).
Thanks for the reply though...I kinda figured my post would be lost at sea given that the thread was in resolved status
Did you ever get it working on Pays or did you end up staying with jboogie?
Hello!
For some time now my phone's been rebooting itself completely random it seems. I just got it back after sending it away to get this issue fixed. Obviously the "repair" didn't really do anything at all. All they did was to flash the latest software apparently.
I got quite fed up with the crashing and rebooting stuff, and figured that it wouldn't hurt to try to flash a custom ROM, in this case I chose to root the phone and try MiUi. I had no clue wether it would solve the issue I'm having, but I figured it was worth a try. So i rooted the phone and flashed the latest version of MiUi (1.11.18).
At the start it seemed like it had worked, and had stopped the phone from crashing. But after some time I realized that the issue is still there, only difference now is that it ONLY crashes when I lock the screen with the Power-button. EVERY SINGLE TIME I do this, in a matter of minutes it will either reboot or just turn black and totally unresponsive. Only way to get it on again is to take out the battery and put it back in.
This is starting to annoy the **** out of me, so I talked to my brother for advise this morning, and he told me to wipe my Dalvik Cache. So I did, and nothing changed, the phone keeps on living it's own life.
I have absolutely no clue what info you guys might need to help me with this, but I'll start with this:
Phone: HTC Desire HD
Android-version: 2.3.7
Kernel-version: 2.6.35.14-cyanogenmod-g319b6e2
ROM: MiUi 1.11.18
Also, the motherboard's been switched once, cause of another issue that is now gone.
ANY help is appreciated, I just want to be able to use the phone normally!
EDIT: Also it seems that the phone won't reboot or crash whenever it's charging.
Sounds like a hardware/software issue your best bet is getting a replacement and re rooting .

So about 2 months ago I get BigRom. It was all good but from times to times, no more than few times per week I was getting force close dialogs popup
Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped

After few seconds the process restart and everything was fine, except that I don't always get sms messages... Till last week. Phone process just started crushing few times per day. So I decided to change the rom to BigOS. Happens the same. I back to the stock and on .87 i got phone app crushed once, because I changed after that to ClearStock custom ROM.
But nothinngs change. Exact pattern in most case looks like that:
Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped

Click to collapse
It restarts after few moments, phone & internet work few minutes and again
Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped
Click to collapse
But this time it doesn't repair itself, few moments later my phone is restarting. And I got that issue few times per day, when I turn on my phone phone some times work, somtimes doesn't.
It seems that it's not depends on ROM, but smth deeper. Guys, I need solution, please. I can't use my phone properly.
I was trying to clear data, to clear cache, I deleted manualy from recovery data folders "com.android.providers.telephony" and "com.android.phone". It doesn't help at all
Ok, but wchich one?
It says

and I got 270, but there is no version like that to download
Edit: Ok there is one, but it is exactly the same build I have already installed. But ok, I will try and give here the result
Edit2: It changed nothing. Few seconds after I restart phone it crushed again. Problem is somewhere deeper, but how can I solve it?
I get back to the stock .60 but there is nothing change. I dont have any crushes now, but also i do not have any conectivity. What's the problem? I Still have warranty, but if I can fix this by myself I would like to do that. But I need any hint...
Downgrade? Could that help? I've never before problem which couldn't be solved by flashing the custom rom, it's pretty wierd to me
Hi,
Not too sure if anybody else has had this problem. Every day morning, when I try to use my phone first time in the day, the phone app does not open. It opens and closes within half a second. It has been happening daily. A reboot fixes the issue for the moment.
However, need to check if anybody else has been facing this issue.
I am running stock 3.2.6.
To resolve the issue, I have tried hard reset, flashing stock OS, flashing 3.1.2 and then flashing the incremental OTAs, almost everything I have tried.
Looks like the issue has not been resolved at all. Tried switching off the doze mode as well. Not helping.
Anybody has any guidance/solution to this problem?

Make a clean install of the full 3.2.6 ie after wiping system, data and cache/Dalvic. Do not install the earlier version/s and update via OTA or flash the OTA.
Maybe you have some app that is conflicting with your phone app.

Seems like the issue was due to a specific app. U sure though.. I uninstalled a set of apps which I had installed before the issue started. Currently looks like it has been resolved.
Same thing is happening for me in 3.2.8 no matter what ... That too only in morning as Mr.Deepak said please help .. I have tried re-flashing ROM etc ... What could be the issue?
@deepakmasthi can u please let me know how did your issue get solved.. as I'm facing the same problem as u.. Please help
