Download and apply via CWM:
CRT-JVU-CWM3.zip (8.04 MB)
To enable CRT screen off animation you have to enable animations in display settings.
If you want to remove this mod use this CWM update.zip:
REMOVE_CRT-JVU-CWM3.zip
(restores stock framework-res.apk)

CRT screen off animation for odexed (stock) and deodexed ROM's. If you have custom ROM or mods with ex. power menu, custom lockscreens or something like that you phone will probably bootloop after applying this mod.
Features:
- resources.arsc file isn't compressed (like in stock Samsung ROM's)
- all files are zipaligned (like in stock Samsung ROM's)
- enabled CRT screen off animation in /framework-res.apk/res/values/bools.xml
Download and apply via CWM:

To enable CRT screen off animation you have to enable animations in display settings. CRT screen off animation won't work if you have changed speed of animations (with Spare Parts or nitrality app).

Apparently so. Mine started bootlooping.
Thankfully, flashing the removal zip was enough to recover it.

Kernel doesn't matter, it will work with all available kernels. If you hadn't use any look modifications before (themes, ex. power menu, custom lockscreens) CRT should work without problems.

Incorrect. I can confirm that this will break a freshly installed JVT if you install the Semaphore Kernel, no other modifications.

This is for Deodexed 2.3.6 firmwares.
My base service.jar is on XWJVZ version.
This Modded Service jar will enable the Message notification for BLN.
The JW1 and JVZ service.jar as the same on deodexed versions.
Install it Via CWM.

i think the surface rom is odexed, this mod is only for deodexed roms, im busy right now, at first time i will create the odexed.

i told it before, don't use any file from basic rom over another odex rom, the bases are different! its a lack of odex structure
but,im trying one more time.... i will let you know if i get succeed.

i tried again, but no success, strange!
you can use my Basic Rom and use Elin MOD for Odex on it. its a better way. its a full compatible.
anyother ODEX mod, is compatible with my Basic Rom.

if you are on deodex version, its the same! you can use it on deodexed jw1
but odex version maybe not!

notification_sound=OnTheHunt.ogg
ro.config.alarm_alert=Alarm_Classic.ogg
Are this ogg files present in system/media/notification (alarm)?
In a regular Samsung ROM they are not, usually Nexus S/CM has this audio files.
Result :
Alarm clock will pick first alphabetical ogg/mp3 in media db.
Timer+notification ringetone will have no audio.
Perhaps add this to OP?

I did not compare the systemUI and framework.res but probably u will end up in a bootloop.
Only 1 way to find out
Just make a zip with systemUI and framework-res from this rom and you have a restore zip.

So I managed to enable the CRT animation for XXLP2/XXLP6/XXLPB ICS 4.0.3
CREATE A NANDROID BACKUP before trying.. JUST IN-CASE **** HAPPENS! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR PHONE THAT MIGHT SELFDESTRUCT DUE TO ANY FAULTS!
Made CWM Flashable zips for installing and/or removing the CRT Effect... Just use CWM and flash the zip files. As simple as that.
Should it fail to reboot, just flash the disable zip file. It will revert it and should boot up. If it still fails then restore from a backup
If you have a request, I might be able to help mod CRT effects into other firmware too but i need the framework-res.apk from /system/framework.

Yes it is proper and upright It seems it is fixed somewhere else.. I just simply enabled it
There are a few problems with this, mate:
1 - Icons of the Power menu are back to stock.. We need the ICS ones.
2 - On selection of anything in My Files, we get an orange background instead of a blue one..
Dunno what else problems are there. I couldn't bear the Orange in ICS, so I reflashed the ROM right away..

Yep I can confirm this mate in file manager its orange and the power menu icons definatly change to stock.

I found a cool mod (you may probably know it) here on XDA that also has Ripple Lock Screen and more additions. The problem is that is for deodexed and not for my stock XWLSW.
Could you please give me a mod (like that but just multi window is also enough if you can't find ripple) that is for the stock rom I have?
use neatrom lite by sale .. it has both multiwindow and ripple effect working

That's cool If you want the stability of stock rom though, but would like all the goodies that come with having a custom rom, Xsposed Installer is the mutz nutz! It allows you to customise your rom like it's custom anyhowz!!

I installed it once when I had CM 10.1.3 . I am probably going to install it on the stock rom.
By the way, Do you know some cool modules that also support stock jelly bean 4.1.2 with Touchwiz?

Nice! I will take a look of these, I really want a module that allows widgets on touchwiz lockscreen (there is, but for android 4.2). I saw you have AOSP lockscreen module. I will probably try it too. I am looking for modules with cool features.
I wanted to use Tinted Status Bar, but it looks bad with the touchwiz status bar icons, I see you have some modules that allow changing icons, I will try that. Thanks.

i used it with LSW and work fine -(i used in deodex version )
mod modify systemUI -framework and other thinghs -but are same in lss-lsw.........
remember nandroid bak

My point exactly "DEODEXED"!! OP has "ODEXED" rom, & perhaps he doesn't want to flash a "DEODEXED" stock rom just to have these tweaks!!

for odexed (STOCK)you need download odex version
STOCK firmware are odexed
custom ROM are deodexed

Hahaha, I know stock is "odexed" & custom rom is "deodexed" thanks all the same, BUT we ALREADY established that there is "NO" XWLSW odexed version for the OP to download from the link you provided him! :cyclops:

is for lsd but work for me ,nandroid before
if there is a problem after flash..................restore nandroid
how i said systemUI and framework are same in lsd/lsw....will be flashed SecSetting.apk modified with alliance control
other mod made by ics_xd is ALL IN ONE MOD but i not remember where is thread

Well unfortunately, the link you provided doesn't give installation instructions!!
Perhaps if you'd have provided him with this link: ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37186930 ) he could have learnt from the other members questions & answers that you flash in CWM recovery!

Just thought I'd let you know, I flashed the V2.4 STOCK THEMED LSD ODEXED, as you said it had the same framework & sui as XWLSW! & for your information I got soft brick & wouldn't boot past splashscreen! :good:
As you already stated, you flashed it on deodexed firmware, & although it may have worked for you, it doesn't help people when you just post a link to mods that can soft brick if you don't know what you're doing! :cyclops:
& YES I did nandroid/wipe cache/wipe dalvik cache, before you ask, because I know to do this! (not everybody does!!)

i said used it in deodex rom
BEFORE flash see in system if you have a free space --mod is 74mb
if you are noob read before -or use stock but dont stress me-OK?
