As I have posted yesterday in the chevron thread:
If you have a stock rom atm only possible for Samsung and LG phones.
HTC owners can put HSPL from Cotulla on their devices and flash a custom rom, so Chevron unlock isn´t needed...

I didn't want to risk bricking it so it has the official Mango update and now chevron unlocked.
BTW is there anyway of seeing if the phone has 11n enabled or not?

You can check that with a registry editor or install Advanced Config Tool for Mango... Go to www.touchxperience.com

little pointer Advanced Config Tool is for Interop unlocked handsets and I can't find a reg editor yet that isn't Interop

Just as I thought ANY root tool or reg tool CANNOT be run at the moment on NON-Interop unlockable Mango handsets ie, HTC

On my HD7 I have flashed a custom rom, so I don´t have those problems, but as I remember Advanced Config Tool works if you remove the interop flag from the .xap file... but I´m not 100% sure.

Thanks for that but unfortunately I get a Win32 error and even though I put a tick in the sections they don't applied

I think there is a newer version at touchxperience...
Sent from my OMNIA7 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App

its a shame changes cant be saved without interop .. impossible for me .

The limit get updated back to the original value from time to time by Zune, so you'll have to rereun it if you get error from your deployer tool.
You have an unlocked NoDo device?

[Q] Interop unlock

Hi,
Some months ago there was a method to interop unlock thanks to the connectivity setup app. Unfortunately this not possible today.
I have a developer unlocked phone but not a qalcomm bootloader and I don't want to open my phone.
Is there anyway to get the old xap of connectivity setup app, and then apply the patch? If yes where can I get that old xap, I can't find it?
Once I have the xap it seems like I can't deploy it using the classic Application Deployement Software. Is there any mean to interop unllock it without opening it?
Thank you in advance.

static IP?!?

Hi guys
i'm using a lumia 930 with the actual wp10 build.
yesterday i had to learn, there is no way to use a static ip for my wlan.
ok, i could buy an app, witch would do it.
but i really dont get the point, why i should buy for such a standard function...
is there anyway to do this by my self?

I tried the provided list but the reg editor doesn't seem to write the reg entry. I used root tool v2.0. What seems to be the problem? Before using root tool I updated my 1520 to the latest update I think that matters(does it matter?).

Root tool is your problem. It used to work fine previously but now it's quite useless. Don't know why. Try with another reg tool.

Do you know "Provisioning package" ?
Go to Seetings——Accounts——Access work or school——Add or remove a provisioning package——Add package.
I'll give you a “.ppkg” package, you can add it.

hi sorry for posting in old thread...
i've just updated my old lumia1020 to the latest w10m version 10.0.15254.369
i was hoping that in this version that the static ip option was enabled by default...
i was wrong...
need static ip option badly since my home and office wifi need to manually configure the ip/dns setting before i can use the network...
is there any way to configure static ip without interop unlock (or is it safe to use wp internal to unlock root with my current w10m build on nokia lumia 1020?? i update them using iutool method)

These settings aren't available in Windows 10 Mobile 1703+ due to new WiFi menu. But the old one isn't deleted, it's just hidden. You can use Interop Tools to run it and to change Static IP settings there.
Go to Interop Tools - General - Applications - Package List (swipe left from Deployment options). Find WiFi package there, tap on it and use Launch App button to open it. There you can find Static IP settings.
Of course, you must activate Static IP settings at first. You can use the tweak in Interop Tools for it or the provisioning package (you can find it, for example, here).
He said device portal.

Does this trick work to interop unlock the 950XL ???

Hi there
Does this trick work to interop unlock the 950XL ???
http://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-phone-8/general/tutorial-how-to-easily-flash-lumia-t3079674
..and loading the Lumia 1520 Rom into my 950XL ?
anybody tried this
Why do you want to load the 1520 ROM? If it's the task switcher and keyboard your after, you can simply edit the registry strings to make it think it's a 1520, then you'll get those features.

Why ...just simple ! We are all are trying to interop unlock the 950/950xl
Until now we can not do any registry adjustments
Sorry, i don't have a 950, so i don't really know much of what's going on with them.
Have you developer unlocked it yet? If you got that far, then deploy CustomPFD and try changing the model to a 1520 (instructions are here http://forum.xda-developers.com/win...apk-installed-unsupported-devices-sd-t3175843 )
Then deploy Root Tool with Interop Unlock and try to unlock. Good luck!

No, you can't just flash another device's ROM.
It would surely not work and you risk to brick your phone, so don't even try this!
A ROM is not just the OS, there are also drivers and many other things which are specific for your device, that's why it wouldn't work.

Just a Lumia x50 interop unlock idea

Hi there
i have just an idea
I have a Lumia 1520 , Lumia 830 & Lumia 520 thats interop unlocked.
is it possible to alter these backup on a Interop Unlocked phone ( in the registry orso) that it backup more then the standard settings.
For example backup also the portal & devicereg settings from the registry.
Then on a Lumia x50 phone restore that backup ... so it will be interop unlocked by restoring this backup
Will this work ??
I saw a lot of settings in the registry what will be and will not backupped.
Please think this over for a second.
We all want to be that is an option to interop unlock these Lumia x50 phones
I am working with a Lumia 950XL and want to have some changes. I allready send the requests in the feedback hub but i don't think they will pick this up
Thanks for all the support so far
Micheal
I don't think that can be possible though.
There is much better ways to achieve interop unlock.
We can call drivers through IOCTL. I can use CopyFile function from one of nokia drivers. Which runs into system context.

Yeah, but not all drivers can be used to "Interop Unlock". Only drivers with ID_CAP_INTEROPSERVICES capability declared in their manifest can be accessed. By the way, which driver you used to access CopyFile function?

ID_CAP_OEM_CUSTOM has same "TransientObjects" that interop capability had.
You can call with same SecurityDescriptor
That means every Windows 10 Mobile is bydefault interop unlocked

@djamol unfortunately does Nokia drivers were removed from X50 series.
OP even we interop unlock x50 series we have no chance to change registry values because NDTKSVC in x50 series had been changed to a new version and it's limited .
We could restore old NDTKSVC in old series but in x50 this won't work because of lack the old signatures . OS won't trust old signs so if you have a 950XL with Interop unlock + Capabilities unlock you have nothing more than the thing you have right now .
hope you got it but we are working on x50 series, trust me

Look, chambers are not problems. For example NDTKSVC run as system but it checks witch values you want to change if that change were trusted it will changed if it doesn't it won't be changed .
