Touchwiz 3.0 APK - Epic 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hey all. rooting my friends phone to give her better battery and in my experience that means SRF 1.2 + Genocide 2.0
problem is she likes stock and SRF doesn't have the touchwiz launcher. I can find 4.0 (which I find intensely buggy) but having trouble finding the 3.0. anybody have the apk or a download link?
much appreciated

Here you go. Just unzip and push to system\app directory with root explorer.

2.2 Music app

i want to use root explorer to copy paste the apk to they system/app folder. i have the apk but not the odex file to go with it. so it keeps force closing. if any one has an installable apk or the apk and odex files it would be greatly appreciated if you could post them for me. thanks.
This: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=861341&highlight=dk28 is a stock DK28 (2.2) ROM which is odexed. you should be able to pull both the apk and odex from /system/app in that. good luck

Copy of JVB MyFiles.apk

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to run a copy of the JVB Gungerbread's MyFiles.apk on JPY Froyo? I like the way it displays the icons of the files and makes sorting files so much easier.
If anyone has tried it, how did you get on with it? And also if someone can extract the myfiles.apk file from their system/app directory on a deodexed JVB and post it, I'd love to give it a try.
Had to revert back to JPY due to ridiculous battery drain on JVB
Many thanks

[ODEX/DEODEXED][JVx] Daily Briefing Widget - Working on All Gingerbread ROMS

Hi guys!
Daily briefing on latest odexed JVR is corrupted. I want to share working apk for all gingerbread roms.
How to install:
1) If you're on odexed rom, just delete system/app/infoalarm.apk and infoalarm.odex
1) If you re on deodexed rom, just delete sytem/app/infoalarm.apk
2) Download the infoalarm.apk on attachment and copy it to system/app
It's done.
Maybe this can work on cm7 roms. I didn't try it. I think it works.
Note: You need root explorer or adb shell. You can use ES file explorer - free on market.
Please click thanks button.
Thank you!
Working perfectly on stock ODEX JVR.
I'm on a stock odexed JVR firmware and my phone doesn't have daily briefing, no Infoalarm.apk in /system/app/ .
I'll give this a try.

hi
I have a problem: I have upgraded this JW1 firmware via Kies (XEN), rooted with stock+ kernel and via root explorer I have installed infoalarm.apk in /system/app. deleting the ugly MMMsamsung, Bol and fileindex which are quite useless. I have checked the permissions and the owner in the infoalarm.apk but the software refuses to install, also when I restart the phone, anyone has any idea?
Will this work on ICS?
used to work in JVQ
... but since I flashed JVZ it refuses to install

[Q] Locating Theme Chooser and androidian.apk

I've searched through the forums and found nothing that like this for the HTC Evo, which was really annoying since I can't seem to locate it in Astor, but it's on my phone, but I can' extract the .apk file. How can I locate it to create my own theme?

It is on your phone...data/app or system/app not sure...otherwise download the template from the theme chooser thread.
And you'll need Root Explorer to get the apk, I'm pretty sure it's in /system/app.
If you don't have and don't want to pay for Root Explorer - which I recommend because it's a great app - there are free alternatives. ES File Explorer has root capabilities, but I think you have to enable it in the app's settings.

See attached files below. Don't forget the thanks button.
Thanks everyone, I appreciate the help. It was found under the ClockWork file through a lot of digging, but I did manage to find my Androidian.apk and cyanbread.apk. Again, much appreciated folks, the help was much needed.

[Q]Noob question - does deodexed mean rooted?

Not quite sure what deodexed means.... sorry for being such a noob.
No. deodexed from my understanding means that the apks and other files are "organized" so to speak. root means that you have superuser access so you can edit and change files and storage locations you normally would nit have access to. I know this all can be a bit overwhelming to start off with! And I am by no means an expert!

Thank you both. I appreciate the help!
deodexed: APK have all their application packages put back together in one place, allowing for easy modification such as theming.
So before themeing it is essential to take a backup.
SystemUI.apk if using deodexed rom or SystemUI.apk and SystemUI.odex if using odexed.
Odexed systems are compressed and a bit less customizable than deodexed.
Now if you wanna know that your system is deodexed or not:
If you have root access, via Root Explorer or another root worthy file manager, to /system/app you can look at the file extensions and see ".apk" and ".odex" on devices which are "odexed."
