This is a way I found to charge and use your phone when your phone goes off due to low battery. This has been tested on the LG Optimus 7, HTC 7 Trophy, Samsung Focus and HTC HD7 so this may work on other devices. (Unknown about the Samsung Taylor or LG Panther)
1. Make sure your phone is off due to low battery and can still switch on
2. Turn on your device on.
3. Wait 5 seconds after you see your OEM logo (e.g. SAMSUNG, LG, HTC), then plug in your charger. (If your device turns off before 5 seconds or cannot switch on at all, this will not work for you.)
4. You would see your OEM logo for a few seconds and your network provider logo (depends whether your device is OPEN or using a Carrier ROM) then you would see the animated Windows Phone logo and your SIM PIN or Wallpaper.
Troubleshooting:
If you feel a slight vibration or hear the "low battery" alert and the device goes off after the animated Windows Phone logo, you have either waited too long, charger is faulty or not turned on or your Windows Phone does not support this.
If your device turns off before 5 seconds or cannot switch on at all, this will not work for you because your battery is completely dead. Charge it properly for 8 hours.

(NOTE: This works only for versions 7.0.7004, 7.0.7008, 7.0.7355, 7.0.7390 (NoDo), 7.0.7392, 7.0.7661 mojo, 7.0.7712 mojo, 7.0.7713, 7.0.7714 and 7.10.7720.68 (Mango) flawlessly. It does NOT work on 7003. DO NOT do this on 7003 as there seems to be a bug in the device firmware which MAY render the device unusable. 7003 users use this AT YOUR OWN RISK. I will not be responsible for any damage caused to your device when this trick is done)

My three week old Galaxy Nexus no longer boots (no charge display, no visual indicator of start, no vibrate, no boot loader menu, etc). Device was running Stock 4.0.1 firmware as I don't root my business phone. Shows up as "OMAP4440" on my Windows 7 PC briefly when plugged in.
Basically the same issue as this guy:
http://androidforums.com/verizon-ga...pletely-dead-does-not-boot-into-any-mode.html
Problem:
Clearly this device needs to be returned. However it contains some holiday pictures that I'd like to get off the device, before a Samsung engineer throws it in the bin and hands me a new one.
Device does NOT have a removable SD-Card slot.
Ideas anyone?
Hello, XDA, Good morning.
So i was using an LG G3 D850 as an access point for a hot spot while my internet was down for a bit, So i connected my PC to my phones WiFi Hot-spot right? K.
Now I had the phone running like this for quite some time, 2-4 hours roughly. During this time I must have used about 4-5 gigs of data on my phone (don't care about the data use  ) and nearing the end of my abuse on the phones internet use I noticed that the screen doesn't want to turn on, but the phone is still on AND routing the access point still.
Fine fine, so When i decided to wrap it up and shut er' down, i powered the phone off. Attempt to reboot the phone was laggy at best and lucky to actually reboot the phone a couple times in this state. I powered down after failing to boot up a few times pulled the battery then plugged USB in and I Got the normal screen that you would get (can't remember what it looked like) if you plugged into the USB w/o a battery in. Then after the standard battery failed to operate correctly I stupidly tried a different battery, which was 2,600 MAH / 3.8 V Li-ion battery / 9.88 Wh SAMSUNG battery, I know.... stupid.... ( LG battery : 3,000mAh / 3.8v Li-ion battery / 11.4Wh
Now after All this battery sh*t, the phone did boot up once or twice with the above battery, but that was it. Now when I plug USB into phone w/o the battery in I get the triangle with a question mark and a picture of a cell phone and USB cable going into it. Thats the only screen that shows up, except for the green/red/blue blinking notification light at the top left corner! PHONE IS RECOGNIZED in DEVICE MANAGER and ONLY when I power down , cable in PC , hold volume + , insert cable , hold Volume + for about 5-8 seconds til I hear computer sound beep then I let go and I get LGE Android MTP device , LGE Mobile USB Composite Device and LGE Mobile USB Serial Port So i have some connectivity but no screen display unless , plugged in w/o battery. I have tried flashing kdz file for sh*ts and giggles to see if it would do the trick but still the same.
Wheres the veterans at ! Thanks in advance , Cheers!
Forgot to mention , that, Even right now the phone is plugged in blank screen still but being charged and will blink twice every minute or more, green notification light , top left. ***
Actually it blinks automatically or if i press the power button it will blink twice as well. . . What does this mean?!
Is download mode working?

the good news the phone isn't bricked and it can't be unless harware failure, you will need to use the button combo to get into download mode and flash a kdz their are enough threads on how to so I won't write it again

I believe so, There is no display on the phone however, when its plugged into the computer I don't see anything in Device manager except I hear a sound on connection , then when I hit volume + and then insert the USB cable i get MTP driver, Com PORT driver, and CDC driver I believe.

I have flashed a kdz already using LG flash tool 2014 method. But I will try the zip and dll method i guess. If there are other options i would love to know about them.
Refraining from having to short circuit the MOBO and wondering if this problem is as easy as getting a new battery and charger ?
Thanks, Wish i still had my jtag.... zzzzzzzzz
Hi all, I got a serious issue, it's going to be a long post, because I want to provide as much detail as possible, so please read my whole thread!
My LG G4 H815 keeps rebooting whenever my charger isn't connected, effectively making it unusable.
When I unplug my charger, my phone could be OK for like a couple of minutes, but then the screen would suddenly go black, the LG boot logo appears and tries to boot back into my ROM.
Once i'm on the simcard code insertion screen, I would type my code as usual, but upon pressing the check mark, my phone emmidiately shuts off again and reboots again into an endless rebooting cycle like this:
Black screen -> LG Logo -> Custom ROM boot animation -> Simcard code insertion screen -> I press the check mark after typing my code -> REPEAT EVERYTHING.
(Sometimes I'm not even done typing my code and it would still reboot)
I don't have the official charger anymore that comes with the phone and I don't remember what happened to it and where it is (I think it was broken or something), so I've used a very different charger for quite some time now.
I've had bootloop issues before back when I was still on stock LG firmware, unrooted and covered by warranty, I've sent it back for a repair once but now it seems that i'm having a problem again.
My warranty period is long expired, so returning it now would be pointless.
However, maybe the problem could be the battery as well, meaning that it might not be a faulty motherboard after all, but I'm not sure.
I tried shutdowns for cooldowns, a cache wipe, pulling out the battery and putting it back in, charging to 100% while the phone is off but all without luck.
I've had this problem on CypherOS, LineageOS and on AICP (which are all the custom ROMs that I ever tried on my G4)
PLEASE. HELP. I can't take this anymore! I have to constantly use my phone plugged into a charger and it's become impossible to use it without it! :crying:
(EDIT): Nevermind, I solved it by getting a new battery 2 months ago.
Hi,
couple days ago when I unplugged the earbuds from my phone I noticed that the headphones logo was still appearing and thus the phone was not outputting any sounds to its speakers. I tried to plug and unplug the earbuds a couple more to see if that fixed it and when it didn't, I decide to reboot.
Ever since the phone has refused to work, when I boot the phone now the following happens:
-Phone buzzes, MI logo appears
-After that it shows me the screen of an empty battery as it would when the battery is drained. (Worth nothing that when I rebooted the phone, battery was at 80%)
-After a few seconds the notification light in the upper right partner of the phone blinks twice and the phone shuts
If the phone is connected to a charger, it will just repeat the beaviour described above endlessly. Things I've tried so far:
Accessing Fastboot
This doesn't work because, while the fastboot logo appears, just after it, the empty battery logo appears and the phone again shuts
Replacing the battery
I've tried replacing the battery with a known good one and the same issues appear
I am at my wits' end all the possible solutions described around the internet seems to be based on the assumption you still have access to fastboot which I don't. Is there something else I could try?
Thanks
try edl mode
Good day,
My HUAWEI P30 lite only switches on when the phone is on a power cable - if not it won't switch on at all. When on (Plugged in), it is stuck and does not boot beyond the Huawei logo screen. (When the logo appears, it stays that way for about 10 seconds, and then it goes off and on again in that loop.
Notes:
- Just to reiterate that the phone only switches on when plugged in. (Charger in wall socket or "USB C to USB C" using laptop's USB C port.)
- When using the "USB C to USB C"-cable plugged in to the laptop's USB C-port, the HUAWEI HiSuite software does not recognize the device - Not sure if that is because I'm not using a "Normal USB to USB C"-cable?
- When the Huawei logo appears, the "Powered by Android" does not appear at the bottom of the screen. (Don't know if that's relevant but rather safe than sorry.)
- I recently had the screen replaced (Not an official Huawei screen)
- I recently installed a game from an apk file that a friend sent me. (Did get a system warning that it might be "untrusted", but I installed it anyway and the phone worked fine.)
- The phone is 3+ years old and I have noticed for the last few months that when the phone is on or below 10% battery life, it goes down to 0% really fast and switches off if I don't plug it in in time. (This led me to believe that the battery might have gone?)
Please can someone assist? I don't want to pay for a battery replacement if that is not the root of the cause and won't solve the problem.
(ps. I really really really don't want to lose my data.)
