Actually after today's Prime Tv Mango update I noticed that...
It's great...
With the exception of LazyTube, all of my apps are flipping on my screen, pretty enjoyable tbh
Does rowi have a flipping live tile? Mine doesn't.. It doesn't use mango features, it doesn't appear in the background tasks list.

It does have a flipping live tile. But it doesn't require a background agent, since it's still being updated via push. Which I consider great, because it's almost instant after a message or mention is recieved. Background agents only pull every thirty minutes.
@FiyaFleye
Patience, mate. LazyTube 3.0 is on its way. And it's gonna be awesome as far as I can tell from what I've seen.

Im not too sure what rowi you are using but mine has a static live tile(rowi version 1.5) its push notification like you said is top not tho, almost instant. thats one of the few mango apps that i have that does not flip, thinking about it,i dont think rowi has been updating to mango yet because it still shows the resuming ... when you switch back to it.
flipping live tiles are lame, need some other effects :/

I use 1.5. Flip tile shows up when you receive a mention. The backside shows the first few words of the tweet and the image of the user who mentioned you on the background.

Actually that is constructive criticism. Some developers have a fliping live tile just for the sake of it (Flixster app first comes to mind) and yes other effects would be cool. Also developers can't change the size of the police when having text at the back of a tile so in some instances it's useless because you get cut off text (like having half the title of an article, what is this good for?).
Does anyone know if developers can use the curtain effect that's on the Me tile? That's a least one variant that I'd like to see more.
Even so it still has no place in a thread created to glorify this feature. I do sometimes in fact just watch the tiles on my start screen or groups. If he wanted to he could've started his own thread talking about that.

Geez.
That is not constructive criticism. Fiya likes the way his phone looks with all the tiles flipping.
I personally would not want several different animations for the tiles. I like uniformity. But it would be interesting for diversity if you could set how a tile animates or turn them off. Flexibility in this case won't be a bad thing.

rowi flips when you receive a mention or message, it'll flip with the profile picture of the last person and a portion of the tweet. I think it's a rolling activation though, as I got it about 4 days after other people.

Cool, go say that nonsense in a thread titled "Crap I don't like about Mango/WinPhone" - I created this topic to discuss the enjoyment of the tiles, not some response of them being "lame." This is the type of stuff I'm talking about, you cannot have a single enjoyable thread on this horribly moderated board.

Anyway, if anyone actually read my post I tried to develop his argument and asked an interesting question that no one answered and that wasn't a criticism.

Well basically any I imagine possibly because it's my device and I want to use it how I want it,
like viewing photo from different angles instead of device deciding for me how I should watch this.
All the automatic processes are always buggy to some extent. I want to be the only deciding factor to it.
This should be available to anybody who wants this feature
and possible for beeing disabled by the user whenever one wants to.

I would suggest using a device before declaring it buggy. Yea, it's been buggy on WinMo but all of WinMo has been buggy. There very well may be a "disable accelerometer" option. Not sure, I haven't seen it.

For instance while reading in bed. Apple added it in iOS4 as it was a strong request from the community.
Nice feature if you ask me, as developers don't need to provide a "switch" it within their apps

Agreed, happens often enough. It'd be a nice plus to the OS, allthough not at all required.
Rotation is defined on a application level:
Code:

SupportedOrientations="PortraitOrLandscape"

Is it a different Twitter app? Or have they just put out an advert which features software not available to the public yet?

I think you've missed this guy's point. He was making reference to a similar observation elsewhere on the new phones. Don't be so quick to judge.
Got my 2 apps published and can see the same under my AppList, it says certified and it is under the Publised tab, but it is still not showing up in the MP.
Any idea?
Publishing can take 24-48 hours.
It does take time. 24-48 hours is pretty accurate. I have been able to see my published apps in the website http://windowsphone.com/marketplace but could not find it by searching the marketplace. It'll get there, the system just takes a while to sync up. Patience!

This is very true. Your app will then show a status of "Submission Started" or something to that effect. I don't think it actually hurts a published app but I had this and it generally confused me. You can always go back in and click "Cancel Submission" to leave your app as is though.

I wasn't able to cancel the submission. I made them cancel the certification and turns out I still had to make a metadata update in order to escape it lol. Oh well, I'll know next time.
Marketplace publishing process (comparing with year ago) now become very slow and annoying. And MS still want to expand developers community! I'm afraid if developers should wait two or more weeks to be published (actually, I'm talking more about quick bugfixes etc., not the initial submission), developer's interest to WP7 platform will reduced.

Definitely. To reply to sensbostons post. What you say is correct. My app got published and a bug occurred immediately that I needed to post an update to. Needless to say I was JUST able to upload my updated xap yesterday and the bug happened two weeks ago. The support is horrible as I was instructed to do things that ultimately led to pushbacks. Do they want their developers to have faith in this Marketplace? I've been wondering that. That dashboard... The buggiest thing of all. Sometimes I refresh and it tells me it doesn't have my tax information at all.

Today we are announcing the public beta of the new "2013" theme for the XDA forums. This theme is in active development, though for the most part it should be suitable for daily use. You can access it via the "Style Chooser" in the bottom left corner of most pages.
Please note: this theme is not bug free. It's possible that you will notice some funky behavior while using it.
Some of the primary benefits/features:
When we finish optimizing, it will be significantly faster than the existing "XDA 2010" theme.
Optimized for displays 1280 width screen resolution
We've added a sidebar to update you on PMs and subscribed threads/forums. This is collapsible for users when reading threads.
Tabbed home page which will default to showing your subscriptions to give you easy-access to the forums you care about most.
Enhanced device information pages (for example: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1533) that will show specs and root instructions for some devices.
Plus many other little additions and improvements.
Most of the user-facing changes are cosmetic. We created XDA 2013 as a platform for much more significant enhancements to the site, which will be rolling out over the next few months.
Please use this thread to post your comments and suggestions. If you have bugs to report, please post your thoughts in this thread.
Thank you for your help!
Just wondering, is there a place where we users can send in our device's info, so that the people working on it won't have so much work?
Cheers for all the effort put into it! Looks awesome!
Use it sice a week and its very fast. the only problem is the thanks-expand-arrow, he is too wide away from the text
Admin Edit: I made the "expand" text clickable also. - js1999
Edit: Thanks Admin
Awesome loving the new refreshed look of the site
just a suggestion.
The "online" symbol should be more green as currently difference between offline(black) and online(green) is very less noticeable
I really hate that there is so much crammed everyhwere, the right side portal stories are annoying, if I want portal stories I click on "portal"
I think the 2010 version is better, some of the fonts are cooler on the 2013 version but there is just way too much crammed on the screen at once.

You can close the sidebar if you don't really like it.
So far, the only thing I don't really like about this is the fact that if you click on a device (e.g. the HD2) all of the subforums appear. I understand that outside of the HD2 this won't be a major problem, but it still looks a bit clunky. Also, on normal zoom (i.e. I've pressed ctrl+0) I get a scroll bar thing along the bottom? Seems a bit odd, probably just a little glitch. Don't have it outside of when I'm replying though.
Needs are darker font system wide. Post_bit fonts are too light. That's the only thing that I see that I would change at this point.
But, that's just the VBulletin Admin in me coming out. LOL.

I think he meant the Forum Home view. There is no choice to collapse it on the main All Forums page.
Hmm I must not be special enough to get that option yet .
How about an inverted/dark/black theme for AMOLED devices when people don't use Tapatalk?
Oh my, this is quite nice.
The new theme is kinda awesome
But the page goes out of my screen so i have scroll a lil bit ... !!
Can we maybe have an option to only remove the portal posts from the side bar but instead display ALL messages and subscribed threads / fora?
Because clicking on "View all messages" takes you to the PM page. I'd rather have them in that list (best would be if it takes as much place as available ) (same for threads and fora)
if possible remove xda portal sidebar......if other guys agrees on it
I found a cool new feature.. I don't know if it was already present in the ICS build but I'm sure its new from JELLYBEAN
Long press the microphone button and you'll get a view of the clipboard!
it was there before, you would get a few choices when you held the mic , handwrite, clipboard, settings
Oh. LOL ! I never noticed maybe they didn't include it on the T999V model then.
I can't see the the clipboard after copying images and text to the clipboard. I see the options when long pressing the microphone but when i click the icon with the paper and the paperclip, nothing happens. I don't see what you see in the screenshot. I am on ICS
I don't know maybe they expanded the feature in jellybean? Can someone else confirm this?

So what you are saying is no one should have 'ads' in their signature? So those linking to their custom roms, tutorials here on xda, video help links....should not post their 'ads' either? He is linking to his thread for custom work for the S3 and a link to relevant info on the S3. Whats the big deal? If you don't want to visit, just keep scrolling the thread. No on putting a gun to your head making you click his link.
If you cant stand people's signatures with links, go into your Control Panel and turn off signatures. Its that simple.
