Maybe this will shed some light where we need it.

Hopefully this helps the devs out.
Yes...the plot thickens! Can't wait. IMO Froyo to Gingerbread was nothing spectacular but Gingerbread to ICS...now that's another story. Was running the SDK one on my Nexus and wouldn't have left it if 4g worked

I'm really stuck on android 4.0 and all the features of the galaxy nexus. I need some outside help. Is the nexus good? Or the e4gt better?

I think the Epic Touch is better, but that's just me. Galaxy Nexus without Ice Cream Sandwich would be a downgrade from this device in my opinion.
Just my two cents =]
YouTube "Galaxy Nexus vs. Epic 4g Touch." They'll run down all their differences.

Will any of the GS2 developers port their ROMs over to this new phone? It doesn't look too different. My brother recently got the phone and I checked the development, which was pretty slow. Shame too, given it's a powerhouse.
I apologize in advance if this topic has been brought up before.

Shouldn't be too bad I think because the hardware is mostly the same from what I understand. I would attempt something but I'd probably Bork it all up.

That's what I thought. Both have same Processor and screen resolution. A lot of ROMs here are porting the Blaze Radios too, so I don't think I'd be a huge challenge. Then again, I know nothing about development. Hopefully someone will jump on the bandwagon.

The Blaze will get the Ice Cream Sandwich update too.

Is there a flashable or zipthemer/metamorph mod that changes the stock lock screen on JB AOKP/CM10? I know about the cool Acer, Samsung, HTC, and LG 4X ones for ICS and stock jb, but are other any for AOKP/CM10? If not, I am more than willing to donate for the Acer or Optimus 4X style on aokp or cm10. Thanks!
EDIT: The thing I am most after is the Optimus 4X Lockscreen (here) and/or the Acer Cloud Mobile Lockscreen (here) both for aokp/cm10/codenameandroid jellybean. If you can make both I will defiantly donate again.
Wow... went to the bottom fast. Anyone?

Uhh... those are the ones that I linked to in the op and neither are for AOKP/CNA/CM10 JB. Thanks anyways though!

Oh, my mistake. I swore they were CM flashable. >.> That's why I went and found them again.
Edit: Got it, you were looking for them updated. Sorry, misread. There was another thread asking for the same lockscreen on the optimus.... Excuse my being tired. Been 25 hours awake lol.
Bump to the top. I know there's other people wanting this!

My friend says he's only getting a mac if 4 hours battery
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
you should probably just let your friend do research and find his own custom rom. So much can go wrong when modding a 3rd partys phone when the person flashing doesnt even know what they are looking for. My advice, just leave it stock. To get better battery life you have to make the phone do less.
Ive been there, with that phone call at 2am "how do I fix my phone, its acting weird?"

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
^ Nope, in fact you can even root without unlocking the bootloader and wiping your data

Are you the Guy over at Thunderbolt whose TB bit the dust?
Haha welcome, I think more GalNex owners had the Thunderbolt than any other phone, we just got hit so bad with waiting for ICS, none of us want that wait and uncertainty ever again.

Been playing with it all day, getting a feel for phone and battery. Ive git a 2350 battery in it i believe, and life seems pretty good. It did update to jb, and im amazed how fast phone is. If i had a good secure wifi tether, id almost not root, lol! Nah, i gotta see what this thing will do. Really liking so far though.

Should i update radios? Runnin liquid now, no 4g.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Do yourself a favor and if you haven't yet already learn adb and fastboot command lines there is no need for a toolkit for this phone. And to answer your radio question unlike the thunderbolt any radio combination works on any ROM you can update or change radios to see if they help you out but it shouldn't matter if you're getting 4g or not. Plus these roms never include radios..well from what I have seen all the radios can be flashed separately through the bootloader or some people have made flashable zips containing them.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
1. Get Gnex
2. Root/Unlock
3. Flash new radios
4. Flash new bootloader
5. Flash new ROM - I would vouch for Codename Android with Faux's kernel
that's my recommendation plan
Brace yourself, flash addiction is comimg.
