Welcome to XDA - you need to learn to use the search function, this question is asked frequently, there's a sticky at the top of this subforum about it. Check your User Control Panel and see if you can't make a signature now, since you now have ten posts.

vBulletins Signature Cache is still buggy. Once you edit your signature, all of your NEW posts will have your signature in them.
All of your prior posts... you will have to "Advanced Edit" and check the "Show my Signature" checkbox.

there are certain limitations on junior member accounts to reduce the amount of spam in the forum
though I'm not familiar with any details posting urls is one of them and I would wager creating a sig is another
after a certain amount of posts that problem should resolve itself
cheers

Looks like I have some work to get to, hehe.
Yes, certain limitations are set in place against new users to combat spammers, including not being able to post urls or have a signature. I believe this restriction was removed once you reached 10 posts, so I would check this again and let me know if you still have restrictions in place
Im good now.
Excellent, glad to hear

[IDEA] Linking to XDA Threads

Would it be possible to make it auto-replace XDA thread URLs with the thread's name?

I don't mean linking to thread names is a link to a thread. I just mean when someone posts a "forum.xda-developers.com/..." link, it would just insert the code for the thread name.
Let me put it this way: when I type, www.google.com, and click "Submit", the forums automatically add ""and "" before it to make it clickable.
For example, if I were to type this:
When I click "Submit Reply" (or Preview Post), it automatically gets "url" tags added before and after so that the link becomes clickable, like this:
What I'm proposing is that it additionally gets the thread name, like this:
[IDEA] Linking to XDA Threads
And here is the result of the above
[IDEA] Linking to XDA Threads
All that needs to be done is change the first "]" to an "=" and move that "]" to after the url. And then add the thread name after the "]".
Did that make sense? This small addition would make browsing the XDA forums even better.

Signature Issue [RESOLVED]

I just flashed my first ROM and wanted to create my signature for future posts. I do a SAVE SIGNATURE but when I return it is still blank. I have 15 posts which I believe is more than the threshold???

Looks like it should be working for you based on post history. Does it work in the preview? Are you trying with pictures or simple text?
It doesn't work in preview and it is just a 4 line simple text description of my config
Obviously XDA required sometime to update because it is obviously now working.
How do I close post or mark it as closed?

If you could please put [RESOLVED] in the title of the first post of this thread then it will show up in the thread list. To contact a mod about the thread, just click the little triangle report button in the upper right hand corner of the first post, fill in a short reason, choose "Thread/post moving or maintenance" in the drop down box and hit submit then one of them will take care of it at some point. Thank you!

You can add a signature at the bottom of yours posts. For that, go to "Control Panel" on the top of the website, then on the left you will have some sections, go to "Edit Signature" under "SETTINGS & OPTIONS" and write all the informations you want. This signature will be automatically add under all your posts.

You have to have made a minimum of 8 posts before you can create a signature. See this thread among others.

[Q] FORUM QUESTION. Find my posts?

I did search, and nothing came up.
I checked the xda FAQ, but it seemed to be more about phones than actual forum questions..
So here goes, dont flame me if I didnt search enough, I did search.
Where is the option to see my posts? And then go to the thread and my last post in that thread to continue reading?
I searched Control Panel (which seems to be the only thing avaliable that pertains to my user) with magnifying glass.
Could not find.
I feel really stupid and sorry to ask such a noob question.
- Go to your own profile page (click on the user name in the upper right)
- Click the Statistics tab
- Click "find all posts by aliendna99"
Moved to About XDA section.
You can also go to the advanced search and then "Search by user name". It will then show your posts.

It would be good to have this as a direct link for example in 'Quick links' or near the username in the upper right (where 'Control Panel' and 'Log Out' are).
Yeah it could be great
And is it possible to have a "View my posts" link for having a follow up of threads where we participated without subscription. If an answer has been posted the thread is at the top of the list.
I'm on a french forum and this feature is very useful.
Thank you.

If you want to view all of your participated threads that way, you will need to use the Advanced Search, put your name in the User Name box, then make sure the Search in Forums selection is set to All Open Forums. Leave everything else on defaults. All your participated threads will be shown with the newest replied thread at the top.
Thank you,
