There's easier way to root and you don't have to flash whole firmware, just a root package and voila!
We're waiting for custom rom! Good job!

I can't release my rom yet. I don't know the partition name for dump and it isn't the same as galaxy S2. fdisk -l doesn't work (blank) :S

Tell me what version do you have (2.3.4 or 2.3.5) and I add a kernel rooted for flash with odin.

I found this one from a Swedish forum:
But it is 2.3.4. Try it at your own risk. The source say first link works fine.

This is firmware - stock roms - without root. They do completely opposite. They unroot your device I know cos that's my thread
BTW. We just have 2.3.4 in Europe

Sorry, this is my first time flashing firmware on Android. I'm very much used to iPhone stuff, jailbreaking, etc..
I am first trying to flash the i9103 to the Euro rom but i'm running into this issue: i42.tinypic.com/30tl14y.png

<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..

<OSM> BOOTLOADER_CL344257.tar.md5 is invalid.
<OSM> End...
For some reason Odin cannot detect the device in Download mode, but it's detected properly in Device Manager, and Kies can detect the device while in normal mode.
Also tried this on 2 separate Win7 32 machines, and saw the same issue, tried all of the usb ports on the machines, tried to reboot, re-install drivers, just about everything at this point, tried to put the device into Download mode multiple times...
Edit: that was with the MULTI CSC, going to try the Nordic..
UPDATE: WORKS PERFECT WITH THE NORDIC!!!

I know I run into the same problem yesterday I sent an email to one admin. I'll post a solution as soon as I get feedback.
Ps. IF You Flash via Odin turn off kies and all processes in bakground that are related to kies. Check usb-debugging and boot into download mode.

Kernels for root with ODIN: 2.3.4 2.3.5 2.3.6
Use it in PDA! Dont extract! Just use the .tar directly.

#1 the version was leaked rather than produced.
#2 it will probably work, just only KIES can handle it. ODIN v1.85 cannot.

You can download the stock Rom from Docky's thread and flash it via Odin. He has made a lot of stock firmware flashable via Odin Life saver.

Does anyone have a CWM Flashable version of the T999VVLDLL1 Jelly Bean Modem?

As you all know, the T999V variants and T999 can not flash the radio/modem files interchangeably between the two.
As such, does anyone have a copy of the Modem? I'm currently running an JB Rom with an ICS Modem and getting some really sad speeds. I checked the Sticky here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1880987
and it is currently not posted.
If anyone is using this Modem, I believe you could follow the steps in this guide to a certain extent:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=27584839#post27584839
Thanks in advance to all that reply!
after further googling, I think all I need is some kind soul to extract the modem.bin from their phones. Afterwards, I think I have enough tech savvy to repackage the Modem.bin into a CWM ZIP file for public consumption.
Please follow the steps using either ADB or Terminal on your phone to extract the modem and then post it here. Thank you!
Requirements:
1. CWM Recovery & root (Thanks Chainfire!)
2. ADB setup and know how to use it! or Terminal Emulator app
3. Samsung KIES drivers installed
4. Power on device, Enable USB debugging
**If you don’t how to do above, then XDA forum search and Google is your friend**
Steps:
1. Dump your current modem onto your internal sdcard
# Run Terminal Emulator app and input steps b -> e

For me it's the same as the previous version. Maybe better signal if you are far from the tower.
Anyone know why does the updater script and radio file still say VLLH2 for the baseband file name? I'm assuming that it is just a left-over from reusing the packaging from the previous baseband zip.
Has anyone tried this and confirmed that it is truly VLDLL1 via the About/Phone menu?
File sizes are different -- new version is quite a bit smaller...so they are not identical...
I'm getting mixed inputs here. I have a t999 T-Mobile Galaxy S III and every time I update my Cyanogenmod ROM (which I've been doing for years) everything goes smooth but when the device boots up, it says "unknown" for the baseband version. If I flash the UVDMD5 radio it goes back to normal. But every single time I flash a new nightly this happens. Just wondering if this is a fix for that or if there I no fix. I rooted with the stock root injected .tar file just like I've done 3 separate times. This is the only one of my 3 S3's that has done this. I confirmed that it was NOT a t999L model before anything. Is there a possibility that this device could be a non t999 without saying it is? Or is it possible that this is a t999L model without showing that it is? I'm very lost here. Nobody seems to have the same issue as me. I've searched through hundreds of thread pages to no avail. Help please somebody?
I've no idea why it would do that. Sounds like some sort of Rom issue maybe? If it was anything but a T999, the md5 modem would not work btw. But I've never heard of thus before, so it could be some sort of unknown corruption somewhere in another partition. Purely a guess on that though.
If you Odin back to the LJA, or any other build does it still do this? Does it happen when you flash any Rom? Or just cm? If it's only cm, then I'd ask in the Rom thread. What about other kinds of flashes, such as kernels, recoveries and mods?

[Q] Downgrade to 4.2.2 to 4.1.2

Hello Guys
thanks for reading my post and helping me on this.
So i want to downgrade from 4.2.2 to 4.1.2 (4.2,2 is very slow.. atleast on my grand).
I downloaded the stock rom from XDA , this one was for 776 mb and had only the ROM in it, While using ODIN , "pit" is required (ODIN prompts for this).
Question:
1, Can i use the pit , modem and bootloader files (from 4.2.2 rom) or are these specific to the ROM?
2. If no , can you please suggest where i can download these files for 4.1.2 rom.
Pasting SS of both ROM and these files....

Hi can you please share the link where u've downloaded all thode files(MODEM,PIT,et., ) for 4.1.2.
There is a long discussion about this topic if anybody care to use the search function.
The files on the screenshot are for XUBMF2 which is 4.2.2 not 4.1.2
I have downgraded 2x already from leak and russian 4.2.2 and I always used 1 file from the XXAMF7 downloaded from sammobile. Just wipe data and cache before reboot or you will have boot loop. Do not check repartition in odin or else odin will ask for pit file which is not needed.
All the needed files are inside the tar.md5 file. Odin automatically loads them. So no need for all those files previously req by leak.

If you are facing problems with different ROMs, download the latest firmware for i9082L and flash it on your phone through Odin
make sure you wipe data/cache/dalvik before the flash then reboot :good:

choose your country code and download orginal firmware
or download from here (rooted firmware by a trusted developer)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2340562
don't flash ROM over it till you are sure it's compatible with i9082L
Hit Thanks if it works

[SOLVED] [HELP] Galaxy Tab 3 Kids (T2105) Stuck in recovery

I tried to root the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids US model #SM-T2105 via the directions listed here (this thread lead me to believe this would be possible).
Now it is stuck in a recovery loop. I have tried switching back and forth from TWRP and CWM without any luck. I noticed I only have adb access in CWM (not in TWRP).
Any help is appreciated.
EDIT: Downloaded stock from http://pc.cd/fbp and flashed it with ODIN.

It is possible that you can boot your Tab into Download mode ?
Than flash the Stockfirmware by Odin, but before make an fullwipe with the recovery,
When you are back at stock, flash the CWM and the root .zip from gr8nole s thread SM-T210 / R
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433853
I am able to get into Download mode, but I am unable to locate the stock firmware for my device.

that filehost is awesome. downloaded at 4MB/s!
I pushed the file via adb, but it gives me an installation aborted error.
Any ideas?

Flash it in Odin
Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX HD
How do I do that with Odin? It does not have .zip files as selectable when you browse for files.

THANK YOU!!!
Super big thank you to all in this thread. I also have a T2105 Kids that has been stuck in recovery for 2 weeks after a botched rooting -- during summer vacation, no less. This fixed it right up!!! (P.S. I flashed it over the back-up and so far it looks like we're near 100% of what my kid had before)
THANK YOU from a desperate Momma!!
blessings to you and this forum

You might be able to find the firmware at: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
I loaded up the non-kids version of the firmware and it is working fine: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-T210/
Good luck
