I just fixed my one KF and now my other one is in trouble. When it powers up it just bootloops into Kindle Fire splash screen(blue & grey letters) then just keeps restarting. If I hold the power button in it gives me 3 options; normal boot, recovery, reset bootmode. If I click normal boot or reset bootmode they do nothing except return me to the Kindle Fire screen. I can get into recovery(twrp) but I cant restore any of my backups. I can't seem to mount the KF through recovery either. Also, every time the Kindle Fire restarts I get a "USB Device Not Recognized" error that pops up on my PC. I just want to unroot and get back to stock on this one.
Anyone? Been at this for a while now, no luck.
Post a video of it booting. Could possibly be this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1623244

So, you have no ROMs/gapps on your KF that you can reflash when in recovery? Seems like the simplest solution for your situation to at least get out of the loop.

I`m looking closely at these two lines:
e:unable to unmount /system
e:unable to unmount /data
Go to mount in twrp make sure there are no checks in the boxes of system and data if so uncheck them and try again. Once you have a bootable system your driver should resolve itself.

Your partitions may be messed up. Enter the following commands (in recovery) and post the outpout here.
Code:
adb shell
parted /dev/block/mmcblk0
print

Okay I'm confused what are you trying to mount while restoring your backup?
I tried to install Paranoid Android and GAPPS. It get force closing on setup so I booted back into recovery to try to fix it and now there is no OS. I can boot into Recovery and Fastboot only
so you wiped system in recovery?
why dont you provide us with EVERYTHING you did to cause this?
did you do a factory reset before installing PA? that would have prevented the force closes.
if all you can do is boot into recovery, then just do a factory reset and reflash your rom...its pretty simple
I had a similar issue and it was caused by not using the correct gapps package. Correct gapps for PA 4.2 http://goo.im/devs/paranoidandroid/roms/gapps/pa_gapps-full-4.2-20130209.zip
I put it on a flashdrive and used an OTG cable to connect, then used "external SD" in TWRP.

I forgot which app I used to download the new image and GAPPS. I figured ig GAPPS was the issue i could wipe, so from Team Win Recovery Console I did a wipe of Cache, Dalvik Cache. I* *may* have also chosen to wipe System and Format data but I can't remember right now.
So I can boot into the recovery console but nothing else. If I try to boot it sits on the white Google logo until I pull the battery

if you selected wipe DATA, then your SDCARD is gone...you need to adb push your rom zip back to the sdcard and flash it. if you wiped system, then you have no OS installed any more...

Sorry I'm being dense today
Ok phone is up and running again or shall I say limping. The 3G/4G indicator just shows bars.
Hey there,
I have installed a new rom,
and after installing everything (I did full wipe) and trying to reboot the system,
the phone is showing the htc logo, but then it just goes right back to recovery mode,
every single time.
Something that may cause the problem - the only way i was able to update to 6.0.4.7 recovery was to install it every time again with fastboot
then to boot into recovery
then it showed me the 5.X.X.X version again
So I do "Reboot system now"
and only then it opens the 6.0.4.7 recovery
maybe because of this everytime I do "reboot system now" it keeps booting my phone into the recovery mode.
how can i fix it?
thank you all very much for reading!

which is the output of fastboot devices command? is any device listed?
if no device is listes, it might be a fastboot/driver issue on the pc, so you might try to download it/them again...

I have a FTV 2 that can get into TWRP but can't boot up normally. I've tried flashing prerooted images, unbrick script, and wiping everything. I am stuck.
In TWRP I keep getting unable to mount Cache Invalid Argument. When trying to flash a pre-rooted image, it just hangs forever on copying system image.
Is there anything I can do? If I need to get a replacement device from Amazon, can I remove TWRP, even if it won't boot?

There is a section that talks about how to recovery from a cache loop.
Hi Mr. rbox
This is my post and I think I have the same problem: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73210074&postcount=17
Where I should run this "mke2fs /dev/block/platform/mtk-msdc.0/by-name/cache" in terminal? I am newbie and I really dont know. Please help me
Edit:
I followed your steps and made it to work.
Thank you
Thank you for responding rbox.
I already tried the cache clearing steps you mentioned, and just tried it again just in case. I still get the hang on "copying system image" when trying to flash a prerooted image, and I see "failed to mount '/cache' (invalid argument)".
At this point all I want to do is remove TWRP. Can I do that from the terminal in TWRP?
1 way to fix

you can fix trying to format cache ext4
So, I've unlocked bootloader, installed TWRP 3.3.1-31, wiped Dalvik/ART cache, Cache, System, Vendor and Data.
It's chinese fmx1901 btw.
So, when I try to install Lineage OS or AospExended it gives me an error "Zip treble compatibility error. Invalid zip file format"
But installation of EvolutionX 4.0 and Pixel experience goes without any error, but there are no android files on the phone and no OS installed.
anybody knows what can I do?
Ah, I'm dumb, the errors are these:
"Patching System image unconditionally"
"Patching Vendor image unconditionally"
But I still dont know what to do with it.
Please Help!
I have the same problem as well.

Now I know what to do - after flashing the rom you need to format data. Just turn back to wipe menu and there the right button "format data". And then reboot to OS.
So how do you slove "Zip treble compatibility error. Invalid zip file format"? I don't know what to do
I cant able to install os through twrp
