Hi guys has anyone had trouble streaming? For me specifically via m.tvcatchup.com? Even on low quality option I get loading video every two mins and sometimes 'sorry this video cannot be played'. I have been using wifi as I do not have unlimited internet data.

can you try to stream video on other sites (facebook, google, myspace etc)
Via facebook videos play fine. Oh just to give more information the router is in my room and I get full signal. Downstairs my signal is weak but on other devices even on my desire hd I had full signal

Try to open on to your pc...start > run > cmd > ping m.tvcatchup.com
ive just tried pinging
it all seems normal...packets are sent and received
i think that is some problem with mobile site of that tvcatchup...
Because all other sites work properly :/

I am running ARHD 7.03 ROM on my HTC Desire HD (with nosense patch) and also finding problems ...
The display is all distorted when running the standard inbuild HTC Stream Player v1.5
If I install the ARHD 6.32 ROM it all works fine and very smooth indeed
This uses HTC Stream Player v1.0
I have tried to install Stream Player v1.0 over the top of ARHD 7.03 but this still does not work ...
Unfortunately I am new here and still not 'worthy' enough to post a comment in the ARHD developers thread
Has anyone any idea why the display would be distorted for me and if there's a fix or a HTCStreamPlayer.apk I could patch over it to get it working

We'd love to help you out mate but tiny problem. You're in the SE Xperia arc forum and not the HTC Desire HD forum.
Plus we don't have that ROM for our arc. So even if we want to help, we're pretty clueless.

I'm pretty sure I wasn't imagining things but I successfully went on megavideo and watched an episode of the scrubs (=P) but now when I try it says this type of flash is not supported :S and on Youtube it used to load videos fullscreen when I pressed play but now it says Go Upgrade...
Is this due to a new firmware update? I heard a new one was released but I never went through any installing process.
I'd like my megavideo and Youtube back! =O Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
I've noticed video on the BBC website isn't working now either which it was working fine before.....
same thing here, youtube videos says, go upgrade....
The desire runs flash lite version 4. YouTube, iPlayer and most other flash apps run on the full version of flash, 10.1. Some things in 10.1 won't be backward compatible with Flash lite 4, so won't display correctly, or even run atall. When Android gets flash support officially it will run 10.1 but for now,you will have to do with the app variants.
ah but why could I view them before?

I know that iPlayer won't work and never has, but the other videos for example clips on the BBC News site always worked fine and now they dont.

I think they might have updated their application, and perhaps increased the minimal version number needed. That would explain why you get that message now.
I've been getting this too, been trying to load videos from various sources, as flash seemed to work in Farmville on facebook (I almost died when I saw it loaded up), and now nothing, the only ones that work for me are youtube videos, which I believe are handled through the HTC Streaming app. All other flash files on sites just give me the yellow '!' triangle, not a pretty sight at all.

I've also had this problem.
BBC website works fine on my Desire, as does playing a full flash movie. Try this:
http://www.spschat.com/Shocked/ep01.swf (it's funny btw, if you like South Park)
Just watched that full screen with no issues over 3G
UStream.tv doesn't though - get a triangle
Hi,
Anyone tried DLNA functions (media streaming and servers) using stock HTC sense connected media app and with windows 7 media player on android revolution HD 2.0.10 ROM ?
I can't remember the last time it worked for me whether it was with the stock HTC or this rom i have now (Android Revolution HD 2.0.10 costum ROM) ? but today i cant seem to get it to work using 2 different PCs though .
would really appreciate some feedback about this
cheers.
Yeah I got it working in a matter of seconds. In my W7 machine I enabled sharing of my WMP library and I could connect to it from the DHD without any problems. This is was on stock 1.32 and LeeDroid 1.5.1 that I tested.
Is this officially available now. I had read reports it was but cannot find in the market.
Anyone with the apk would be much appreciated.

UK only so if you're not there you can't get it. If you are in the UK, what ROM are you using?
I actually found the app quite poor actually.
it buffers constantly - even on wifi
I am in London. I am using leedroid 2.3c. I thought I had access to all markets?

No idea then, works in stock 2.29.405.5
As said, it's not that good though
I hope they fix the buffering - it wouldn't be so bad then - interestingly it looks almost identical to how the myPlayer worked when it had the BBC content (only myPlayer didnt seem to have issues with buffering constantly)
Hello everybody
I am a new owner of a samsung galaxy note and an addict of html5 grooveshark
I used to listen to groove shark on my htc sensation (ICS) and now it's impossible to use the html5 grooveshark on the galaxy note 2.
I tried several browsers (chrome, firefox, dauphin) , i tried to install flash player, I wipped my phone and installed revolution HD, I tried all of this on wifi and 3g and I still have the same problem :
when I select a song to play , or a have a continuous download circle or the song wont play and jump directly to the next one.
I tried the grooveshark app and it works (for the radio) but since the html5 web site should work, I am not really busy to pay for something I can get for free.
Does anybody faced this situation ?
Thank for your help

Thank you for your answer
I tried tiny shark and it's working.
But it is strange the the html5 website is not working on a brand new phone.
Do you have the same issue on your phone?

I do on the ATT version.
The app itself barely works too.
Not sure what happened. They haven't updated it in a while. Still at 2.7.1
Hi there
I use the Netflix app on my HOX to stream TV and movies and find that the playback is very s-s-s-tuttery/jumpy despite being on a 30Mb WiFi connection (indeed, the same WiFi I use to stream to my XBox which works great).
Therefore, is this an issue that the HOX is just not powerful enough to stream movies smoothly? Does anyone else use Netflix on their HOX? I don't own any other handheld devices to compare to but I do find this hard to believe given it works on iPhones with lesser hardware.
For reference, I am using ARHD 33.1 on stock kernel - i.e. a pretty standard Sense 5 & 4.2.2 set up.
Thanks
James
I'm running a HOX+ and see the exact same problem, running a very solid Wi-Fi connection with 16Mb broadband. It's pretty much unusable, very frustrating in use.
Phone is completely stock Sense & 4.2.2.
i've used netflix on sense (stock), rev HD, venom as well as CM 10.2,10.3 and 11 using ART and delvik and have had no issues with play back.
OK thanks. At least it's good to know it's possible to have it working smoothly on the HOX. I will experiment with some custom kernels perhaps.
FYI, I installed Lyapota's kernel and I have just watched a whole episode of Breaking Bad stutter-free. Might just have done the trick.
