[ROM] GingerSnap ***NEW** Beta v1.0

Hi all, I am a new Android developer and am working on my first ROM. It is based off of the 2.3.6 OTA w/ wifi calling. I am focusing on providing a clean user experience with speed and functionality as the top priorities.
I am still in the early stages of developing it but need a couple users to report their experiences with it. I have the SGH-T989, but every Android user uses their phone in a different fashion, so I think it would be beneficial to get other people's thoughts. If you are interested in testing, please post here and I will PM you the link.
About this ROM
As a student I have lots of free time to work on this ROM and about an hour a day during classes dedicated towards ROM development. You can expect this to always be a work in progress as I am not going to stop working on it.

For anyone following my phone troubles, I found the answer. The entire problem was caused by an app called All Call Recorder Deluxe 2.0 by Andriod Labs. It worked awesome until we got WIFI calling. I uninstalled that app and now my phone is finally behaving like a phone again!

Oops, seems I forgot to delete that. I made a list of all of the features I'd like to include in this and then deleted the ones I haven't done yet. That was supposed to be deleted.

So far, all is well and looking pretty good! Would like to see BLN support added if possible. Will put it through a full day of trenching tomorrow. I use my phone for work, so I will let you know.

[APP/MOD/ROM Request] Hide Softkeys using Power Menu - 1280x720 fullscreen experience

This is a request for developers or modders.
It would be great to have the ability to hide the softkeys using the power menu to have a 1280x720 fullscreen experience in games and apps as shown in the attached screenshot.
What do you think?

There is already a thread in AOKP issues forum with the request of the enhancement:

There is also mod developed by mrx8836350 for the Galaxy nexus:

However, this mod uses extra apps (Button Saviour or LMT) which is not good for usability and user experience.
I've uploaded the screenshot to AOKP issues & enhancements forum so they know. EDIT: It seems it's already done and under testing process!!

Sorry mrx8836350, I didn't notice you had replied in this thread before me.
Your mod is really great, and I think it's huge step to get a toggle on Power Menu!
Why don't you get in contact with AOKP and help them adding this feature in the Power Menu? You could reply to the AOKP issues thread I wrote above asking to colaborate.
Also, you could post a new request in their forum to support full Chinese language as well. I've searched for it but didn't find it

I can understand his reluctance to post something like this openly in a thread.

As dodgy as it seems, if he posts it and it bricks loads of peoples devices by random people downloading it then he can cause a lot of issues and sad times for many. Seem's sensible even if it wasn't intended to be that way.

Serious Tester Needed

So as the title states I need 1 serious tester that will actually report back with issues or compliments to either ptmr3 or myself and not take the rom for an early release and run away. PM me or post here with your experience in the android community. I don't want to get posts about "I know how to root and install a custom rom". I want replies about if you have actually tested before for other teams or if you developed before etc. Thanks guys! Gee, no replies!! I'd be glad to test...love flashing my phone and have back-ups in the event of problems. I don't run a bunch of applications so my results may be limited, but I won't post the ROM or scurry away never to be heard from again. Just PM me the download link and any instructions.

NO, Thank you! You guys are the ones who are hard at work so I can have 15 toggles and a 4-way reboot... LOL But really, thanks for your teams hard work and I know it will get better... This is my first time running any "Deviant" roms so I am excited to see what's to come!

I never tested for anyone but I have completed my own kernels. And im a power user when it comes to android. With knowledge on library files kernel modules of course Decompiling and recompiled. Compiling android from source. I can even make a device tree!

Looks like they are using an updated kernel. On cm10 its .48 and from these pictures it seems to be .50.

Something less "fun", right? More boring, bland, and business-y? No thanks.
AOKP's pink unicorn, and CyanogenMod's Andy/Cid on a skateboard are in the spirit of the ROMs imo. Some might see it as immature "punk kid stuff", but most just don't care as long as the ROM is great.

So, how do we get our hands on it (the ROM, not the underwear)?

At least the camera actually works though and it's just recording which is partially broken. Is that the same with the s3?
